I’ve tried to make manga a couple times but always tried to go one page at time and failed because of it. So thank you for breaking it down in such an easily understandable way. It really helped me be able to move from step to step. I just finished my first one shot manga as well! It’s only a two page spread but I’m so proud of it!

I never realized that I had carried that poppy cock sentiment with me, for a looong time, literally WAITING for someone to give me permission to “be” an artist. Then one day a very dear person basically did!😂 He so matter of factly asked me how I could NOT see that I WAS an artist, that I had an artists personality! That sentiment FINALLY broke the spell and I swear I wore that sentiment like a gold star😂 It’s SO important to ALLOW ourselves to reclaim our true identities and essence and not wait for someone else to give us permission!🙏🏽 So a HUUUUGE thank you for that little gem you so subtly threw in there; like the eyes of all your amazing characters!🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I can relate to all the tips you've given! You have been a long-time inspiration and we're actually the opposite! I'm used to drawing digital and now I'm trying traditional art! It still doesn't look that good but I'm actually glad I'm going back to drawing traditional and learning new stuff! I can relate to the young ones who have a great following...yet it's disappointing when they share on their social media that their following isn't enough (but you'll see they have a thousand of followers!). So I no longer look at the numbers on what I post and just post what I want to post. I've missed your uploads and I'm so glad you're back! Love the cute emojis and background! I'm a few days late because I've had a lot more tasks in my daily life but tip number 2 is literally the story of my life as an artist (or half of it)!!! Ever since I got a little more "serious" with drawing in 6th grade (because of anime lol) I would avoid drawing the other eye or the hands ALL THE TIME! But somewhere along the way around maybe when I started high school I was drawing a lot more as a coping mechanism and I ended up drawing a lot more hands and now I think I'm pretty good at drawing hands! The other eye is still a struggle but I've learned to just try and draw certain parts of the eyes simultaneously (line for line ig???). I still struggle with feet though. And I actually got WAAAAAAY out of my comfort zone last Monday by drawing a more action-ish pose with weapons! (This was because I've been watching One Piece and Zoro is one of my all time favorites and I felt like it was a crime that I hadn't drawn him with his swords yet!) I was really nervous about drawing swords + the pose because it wasn't stuff I was used to, especially since I've always been a perfectionist ESPECIALLY when it came to art which always had my art class grades suffer as a result. But with the motivation of wanting to try to draw Zoro with his swords at least once as well as the fact that I left my home state in order to try and stabilize myself mentally, I managed to tell myself and believe that if its good enough by my standards then that's good enough at my current skill level. I'm spending this whole month out of my homestate with relatives for mental health purposes and a few days before I hit the road I was able to reignite my creativity after an almost month long block! And nearly all the most recent drawings I've done I've loved and still love even now! I guess what I'm saying is that, draw for you and draw to fit your standards (reasonably ofc). You will naturally improve when you practice new aspects of art or just drawing in general! (This was probably really confusing sorry. I loved this video and again-SUPER HAPPY TO SEE OUR MAMA MUSHROOM BACK!!!)

OMG im so glad you're back, your videos helped me a lot back then to improve as an artist, and I've gotta say my artstyle is less inconsistent compared to before. I've been applying the things you've said on what to do and what's not, so now my art style is heavily inspired by Korean Manhwas cuz before I was trying to make it more consistent into like japanese manga/anime style but I've realized that I wasn't able to find my own style because I'm not really trying to get out of my comfort zone. So yeah im proud to say that you're one of the reasons I am able to find my own art style.❤❤

This really will help me so much, I love drawing I've loved since I was three, I've always wanted to draw and around nine I got into writing when I found out I can do that for a living I was so happy, around middle school I lost interest on drawing and was only writing ij high school freshman year I got back into drawing. I am now creating my own story and I've drawn out the main character and some other characters, along with a the map of the continent it's on, I'm glad you are making videos again. Hello dear!💕 That’s actually a great question!! I don’t have a day job and my books are my main income. Howeverrrr LOL I do other art related jobs on the side because I don’t wanna get burned out like I did a while back😅 It’s good to have a little variety so I can “miss” working on my projects and have more experience as an artist💕 I work on some publications for some non profits, and I edit wedding photos for a friend of mine 🥰💕

lol, i remember back in hs when i first started drawing, my friend who was also just starting out (we were both bad at it ofc), said some very nasty things about my drawings (which was very out of the blue tbh) so i burned them. Inside the house. My mum thought the house was on fire and i was dying. Nothing else got burned other than pieces of paper XD but in retrospect it was not a very bright idea. I was very scared to draw again for a while after that. So, I suppose taking other people's negativity personally is also something that can hold your art back. 😅😅😅😅

Hmmm… Honestly, when I felt empty while creating art there were other things weighing on my heart that I wasn’t dealing with (a BIG reason why I took such a long break from social media). Oh yes!💕 I grew up Catholic, and though I don’t follow a religion for personal reasons, I’m still very spiritual and pray daily🙏💕 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9 “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.” - Isaiah 43:2 These are just 2 very loving and supportive bible versus I love🥰 What a cool story idea!! “Bible Verse Mysteries”!! It’s sad but Pinterest is no longer a good place for references anymore because it’s overrun with AI art now. Even “realistic” people could be AI generated on that site.

🤣🤣🤣💕 If you’re confused then I did my job! Cecero is a boy 🥰 He’s very androgynous and looks a lot like his mother. His looks play a role in his story, so he’s not androgynous for the sake of being a “pretty boy” 😂
