They had a lot of similar problems to AI, because airbrush painters were taking small copies of great artist like Frazetta then blowing it up with a projector and tracing the blurry picture onto the van. Those vans look great from a block away but up close they look like bad AI.

1:19:00 the ink line and or spotting the blacks, is ideal for printing. The simpler and stronger they are, the smaller they can be printed before turning into a blob. Too much color or lines printed down to small is like putting 10lbs of manure in a 5lbs bag.

The thing will save most artisan crafts will be security/copyright, which most people here haven't thought about, when you have an AI model that will be connected to a service, then that service will retain all that confidential information being produced tecnically, you only retain selling rights. So companies that want to make a secure product will probably go back to actual artisans for an exclusive product that gets more money instead of uncopyrighted AI material that will sell for a buck or two since it will be open sourced in a sense. I doubt any company wants to give away their control of products or rights to a 3rd party. You are already seeing the first legal actions taking place against AI companies for illegal usage of source material. I see 20 year quagmire with AI until it is resolved.

Id like to give some credit to the conspiracy theories related toward the end of the show, think of how galilao was treated in his time, if you want to have a more academic minded argument against scientism check out "Thomas khuns structure of scientific revolutions" or paul feyehabends "against method". You'll see how most of what we've believed in science is outright wrong or just scratching the surface and constantly changing.

Re: AI generated “art.” The legal liability AI brings is you’re using source material that is copyrighted. Remember AI creates nothing new, per se. It takes from what’s *already been created* and manufactures a collage image from those existing creations. Those that own the IPs referenced to “create” can sue for damages.
