10 Things Croatia Does Better Than Anywhere Else
(EDITOR'S NOTE - 6. Klepetan and Malena were from Slavonski Brod, not Sisak. Apologies for the error)
Croatia. A tiny country of less than 4 million people. But a country which punches above its weight on the global stage on SO many levels. Having lived here for 20 years, I am constantly astounded about how much this small country has achieved in so many areas of life. Here are 10 things that - at least in my opinion - Croatia does better than any other country in the world.
Do you agree? Are there any other things? Answers in the comments, please.

@@PaulBradbury Paul there is much more natural phenomena in croatia to visit. The Ombla is a shortest river in Europe maybe World in Croatia, northeast of Dubrovnik. Its course is approximately 30 metres (98 feet) long. Galešnjak (also called Island of Love) is located in the Pašman Canal of the Adriatic, between the islands of Pašman and the town of Turanj on mainland Croatia. It is one of the world's few naturally occurring heart-shaped islands. Red Lake (Croatian: Crveno jezero) is a sinkhole containing a karst lake near the city of Imotski, Croatia. @joelsimunic7381
Жыл бұрын
@@AVAXII if you are talking about the displacement of Croatia, then you should not start from the period 30 years ago. 130 years ago, over a million Croats emigrated, mostly to North and South America, after the Second World War, 250,000 people were killed and many more escaped from communist terror, in 1950-60, over 750,000 emigrated due to poverty, mainly to Germany, Austria and Switzerland. and finally in the last 20 years 450,000 have moved out due to lack of work and open borders for our workforce. We do not emigrate any more than the average of developing countries. The perspective is huge, and it is up to us to work to make our generations better. It can already be said that life in Croatia is nicer and more pleasant than, for example, in Germany.

Hi Paul, great video and succinctly reminded us of SOME of the great things about Croatia. I have only lived here four years and still amazed at the wonders of this beautiful country. When I moved here people where shocked that I would choose to move from the UK, and I cited many of your points as being the reason. The economics and opportunities are a big challenge particularly when these are compared to say Germany or the UK. However, in doing so people should not overlook what is lost in adopting a more Western European culture, the work / life balance that is so apparent in Croatian Culture. People also complain about corruption, which personally I find amusing, particularly when compared to say the UK. I love the honesty of Croats. But, one thing Croatia does well is Wine, small family owner vineyards producing exceptional wines, which often beat more noble European wines.

U svakom slučaju gospodine Paul, hvala vam.

H Paul it's me again. I am retired and look forward to visiting Croatia, Balkan states & Scandinavia/Nordic countries are on my itinerary . "Work hard at doing nothing" is something I can getting used to. Also your vlogs under 10 minutes is very captivating. Scores of viewers would be drawn to this. Beers, now were talking. I am moving onto your next vlog. See ya!
Nice one Paul and huge thank you for being such a great ambasador for Croatia and our way of life. I think Croatian cuisine video would be much appreciated topic especialy for your fellow Brits and all of your english speaking audience cause food in that part of Europe is something special. Gordon Ramsey only scratched surface on his visit to Cro and i'm pretty sure after 20 years you being overthere, u got plenty to say about it. Once again thank you, you are top bloke. Keep it up and enjoy. Greetings from Gloucestershire Croat

All of this is so normal to me that I always took it for granted. It's so interesting to see someone from the outside world adopt our lifestyle and customs; or at least capture/explain them like this. It kind of opened my eyes a bit, honestly. I experience fjaka so often that I probably wouldn't survive in the world which doesn't acknowledge it, haha.

Such a fine gentleman. Doing well to promote both England and Croatia. After this video, I actually came to realization that sometimes, if you really want to know your country, you have to ask a foreigner to describe it. Being born somewhere and living your ordinary life, you just get too involved with daily routine to stop and appreciate everything around you.

I'm watching Rick Steve's Europe, travel show on USA public tv. This shows about Croatia, which always calls to mind Nicola Tesla with me. But they were in a Croatian art museum, and I like very much the paintings I saw. Not often do I get taken by art work like I saw. I will be looking in hope to get copies.
