Great video with some awesome tips for beginners! The propeller protector is nice to have, but by no means neccessary. You can actually fold them on the back of the drone on top and between the ridges on the bottom and they are very secure. They don't even move when you shake the drone.

@@Thegoldenchild415 born and bred in Spain, but spent most of my life in the UK. I do miss the sun and life style from Spain. So, that is a project one day if/when the channel does enough to financially justify a relocation to warmer climate. Rain and cold is something I will never get used to… For instance, I am getting ready to go out and film some cutaways for my next 2 videos and it has been raining for 2 days. Waiting for a window with no rain but I also have to consider it gets dark at 5pm here. One always have to factor the weather in this neck of the woods when trying to keep pumping videos out. In a sunny, warm climate, this would not be an issue….

Your signal/range problem is actually due to where you are geographically. In order to pass certain ratings/certifications, DJI needs to push down the power... and therefore range is only ok. The range is given in FCC mode (full power)

This video is proof that good content does not only come from top channels or celb pages like Peter. Maybe b/c the motives are more honest. Very few bring up some of these issues like controls. There is a massive issue with the settings in sports mode. Yet only Ian from London and a few others discuss it. Flightpath and others just do the safe videos. And as such, they end up not being useful. Next to know one discusses how to fly the drone and do complex moves. like manual orbits etc.

10 bit color space in dcine, brilliant. Range? It all depends where you film and how many interferences there are. It’s not the same to film in a busy city centre than in an open field or country side. Overall, I have no complaints!! I love it, it is a purchase well worth it.

could it be that youtube has defaulted the playback resolution down to 720P? It happened to my wife and she said the same, the quality was rubbish, she expected much better quality. KZread had changed her default playback resolution to 720P, which was signifanctly lower quality than she is used to... If that is not the case with you, which part you think is lower res/ quality?

Before relying on sensors remember 3 things: Wires - this drone doesn't have top sensors, so if you launch it somewhere near electric line be careful. Branches - it doesn't see them, if there's no leafs on branches, it just doesn't, be aware of that and don't crash your drone. Flying sideways - in follow mode especially, since the drone doesn't see sideways, be EXTRA aware of surroundings and be careful when launching it sideways, make sure it is at sufficient height and there's nothing that it can bump into. Oh, and don't try flying it through your apartment windows or through your car like it's an fpv drone, first it will stop because of the collision warning and if you turn it sensors off it will crash, that's it. Everything except cables is from my personal experience, don't make my mistakes and keep your drone and yourself safe

Unless you do timelapse or hyperlapse where you want those trails, for which you need longer exposure hence compensating with higher ND, for everyday filming on a sunny day, a 128 is a must. You might just get away in certain cases with 64ND but if you record skin tones, close to someone or a reflective/semi-shiny surface, etc, you will notice the 64ND isn't enough...

Can you please do a video talking about how the Mini 3 Pro overheats? I’m not talking about when transferring files. I’m talking about *in flight*. When that happens it enters a failsafe auto land mode in which you have zero control. It does not return to home, rather it lands on whatever it is over at that moment. People have already lost drones because of this. DJI needs to at least provide a warning system to let users know that an overheat is imminent and allow them to manually control the landing of the drone. I have personally experienced this and talked to others who have as well. I can provide you flight logs if you want. Please help start bringing awareness to this so DJI does something about it!

I can only tell you what I experienced at the time. But like I said,, DJI keep releasing firware updates and that will improve, Also, some people set/ hack their RC controller to different settings or licenses, like FCC. I was justy using the default RC settings as that is what most people will do. But like everything in life, there will be clever bees out there who know how to squeeze every drop of performance out of the RC controller. The average Joe will probably not fall in that category... I hope this makes sense... By the way, thanks for chipping in!!! For the insurance, in my opinion you are better of using the drone from Amazon and get the Asurion 2 or 3 year warranty. It covers anything the original warranty covers after it is over PLUS accidental damage. They will either repair it or give you back the money you paid for it. No shipping costs. The DJI programs is a ripoff.

Well, I was filming on Saturday around Tower Bridge area in London and the range is still crap. You can "hack" ther RN1 controller to use FCC using apps you can install on your phone but the RC with the built-in screen is not that easy so you are stuck with CE which is far, far from ideal... But I am sure, like everything in life, with time and firmware updates, it will improve, expecially if they allow 3rd party aps to be installed in the RC cointroller, that would then allow for easily switch from CE to FCC... But for now, it is what it is, still an amazing drone and amazing experience, 100%.

If you go through the hassle of finding a spot, taking your drone, possibly travel to another town, city, estate, country, etc, you don’t want to be limited to a 25m window.
