If the Imperium has baneblades, sentinels, knights and titans, what do the forces of chaos have? Well, they do have corrupted knights and titans too but that’s not all, they have their own original war machines too, the ones that are daemonic and highly destructive. These are both demon and machine combined and are termed as Daemon engines. So, in essence these are nightmarish war constructs utilized by the Chaos forces, merging realspace vehicles or combat walkers with malevolent Daemonic spirits from the Warp. These colossal war machines, like dark steampunk robots are propelled by pistons and possess killer weapons. So, unlike conventional vehicles, the Daemon Engines have their own sentient malevolence, each housing the essence of a Warp entity imprisoned within the machine. Created through forbidden rituals and alchemy, these constructs are made by the Warpsmiths of the Dark Mechanicum, forcing unwilling Daemons into physical shells, imprisoning them within rune-bound hulls amid molten forges.
