They can't analyse for shit. For example, Cole will go "What is the key for a Roman Reigns win tonight?" or "How does Sami Zayn win this match?" and Saxton would go "He needs to dip deep and give us another big performance". How fucking vapid is that? That tells us NOTHING. I want to hear some real analysis like "He needs to focus on Jericho's injured ribs, employ a lot more strikes tonight, keep Jericho cornered..." things like that.

A 3-man team can work. If 1 guy is heel support, 1 face and the last guy keeps em both in line and things moving. Problem is with both line ups right now is that the heel guy so outclasses the face it ends up sucking. But in general I'd agree 2 man teams over the years seem to have worked best. And this 4 man is just stupid.

I cannot understand how David Otunga has remained employed by the WWE for so many years. See the UK Championship tournament, Beast in the East, his genuine reaction to CM Punk's piledriver... I even liked his call of Goldberg squashing Brock Lesnar. And I agree with Adam on Renee Young - she's among the best non-wrestling personalities in the WWE right now. She has so much chemistry with other performers.

I still don't get how he is still hired, The guy is just there because he has a hot Celeb wife. and a Law Degree.. Put Saxton in NXT and actually have him home his craft? He will be so much better on the mic, and in the ring, where as, Otunga.. Well, he's the reason I hate commentary atm on Smackdown. I love Graves on COmmentary, Trips did a good job on that.

rocketcon vince isn't out of touch he's a business man. he lost money in the WWE NETWORK a few years ago loosing 600million now he's a billionaire. if he was truely was out of touch, he wouldn't be a billionair. i think the poor storyline telling is the 3 hour raws. that isn't vince's fault thats more of the U.s network fault for paying vince $$$$ for the 3 hours. even HHH said that 3 hour's of raw so difficult to write. Vince still has final say with smackdown and i fully believe it's only good because it's easier to write. it's a much faster pace.

Renee Young is of the most beautiful and genuine funny and nice people in the WWE right now. Whenever she is interviewing, I can't help but listen to everything she says... they should definitely go the extra mile and make a her comment on at least the female matches. Seeing the WWE has these bad habits with the commentators however, I think the "script" would ruin her :/

did you ever get a chance to catch the faces and grimaces that Renee emmits? EVERY time a WWE wrestler finishes (except maybe Brian Danielson ...no surprise everybody worships his ass for some reason) his/her faux interview Renee makes that stupid grimace which conveys "ugh what a jerk" BUT no fans seem to notice or care. Go now Daryl watch any interview with RY and FF to the end watch her reaction. And you call that "so much chemistry" if you want real chem..look no further than Charlie (can't rem her last name) the light brown mocha colored woman, now SHE IS A PRO..after each segment she smiles or nods in accordance with the tempo and mood of the interview. But Renee is pathetic.

When Miz retires he should be a commentator. Imagine a commentary team with Miz Corey Graves and Mauro Ranallo? Miz as the heel, Corey as the neutral and Mauro as the face. GLORIOUS.

    - How on earth do you forget Booker T's greatest, most overused line: WAIT-A-MINNIT!! - And 1000% more Renee Young on commentary - My favorite random Michael Cole yelling out thing was when DB was gonna wrap up a Yes Lock on the ladder and Cole just blurts out "SUBMISSION SPECIALIST!" - Guest commentary is AWFUL 90% of the time. The only thing more AWFUL is David Otunga. As an African American I wish we could have one, JUST ONE commentator that isn't a pile of ass. Though Booker did veer into so-bad-he's-good territory at times. WAIT-A-MINNIT! - Agree with pretty much the whole list other than liking when they have fun sometimes. - And I'm just glad Josh Mathews isn't in the WWE anymore. Dude is stinking it up big time on commentary in TNA.

I think the commentary is fine, I like the 3 man booth, the only thing I'd change on Raw is Saxton not having any comebacks when Cory Graves teases him. I mean either stop emasculating the man on TV or have him fight back and if he doesn't have the wits to respond then replace him with someone who does or just stop the emasculation. Also another weird thing is how back in the day like you said in the video, there was one heel, one face, even when they had the 3 man teams like in late 2005 with Lawler, Coachman and The ECW guy, there was always one face and one heel but now, sometimes I cant tell who the heel is. Technically Reaves and JBL are supposed to be heel but that's only up to a point, when it comes to main event talent like Reigns and Cena, no one says criticizes them and supports the other guy, instead they actually go outta their way to support the baby faces, it's weird when JBL is dissing Daniel Bryan for looking like a goat but then saying stuff like 'Big Match John' or 'Cena is the greatest of all time' or Graves calling Roman Reigns 'The Big Dog'. It's like all the heel commentators are Stephanie McMahon.

  • @Calder90

Yeah, it's a little frustrating. One or two digs is fine but some shows it's just relentless. Like, stfu Cory we're watching a match - can you, oh I dunno, commentate on it and not on Byron? It's especially egregious when Byron is commentating the match, and then Graves is like, "Shut up, Byron." No, you fucking shut up. I hate Cory Graves.

And that is why, for as long as I've watched wrestling, I watch it in Spanish. Two commentators, one face, one heel, both of them with Ranallo level of enthusiasm, both of them with not overused catchphrases, the same two guys WWE has had since about 6 years now, with the great Savinovich now retired, and no Michael Cole, no Otunga, no Saxton, no Graves which is a bit of a shame, and, thank to Jesus, no JBL.
