The pointing thing is actually you can't point with just your index finger, it has to be two so it's seen as more polite in different cultures. Also, pointing with two fingers is what Walt did, so they say it's sort of in his remembrance (though it's really just for the being polite to different cultures).

My sisters friend works as one of the princess's down in florida and she got some free tickets, win win

So much of this is exaggerated. I was in entertainment during my College Program. You're taught how to do your makeup while a cosmetology cast member does it ONCE. After that, you do it yourself. You have to be approved by cosmetology before stepping out on stage, but you do not sit in a makeup chair every day to have someone else do your makeup.You are encouraged to practice makeup on your own at home.

Also, the wigs are styled every single day. You will never see a character wearing a wig that wasn't styled specifically for their shift.

Asking difficult questions for cast members is just an awful way of interacting with cast members. Not all guests are bad but when guests purposely try to annoy or pick fun with cast members it becomes especially difficult to do the job. Tattoos is not a strange requirement for a job it’s totally normal and you would t want to see a performer with a tattoo. Especially when you’re on stage you would want to be in costume with a personal tattoo. Having characters do training and grooming it’s 100% normal nobody wants an underqualified preformed on stage this list is crazy !!!!

There is another exception to the always smiling rule. The place the CMs do not have to smile at is at the Haunted Mansion ride. Since the story is their Master died. So the maids and butlers are in mourning. On the front door of the mansion that your pass while waiting in line. There is a black wreath on that front door. Anyways it is amazing what you can learn when you do the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. Now a quick hop over to Hollywood Studios. I have no idea if the CMs have to smile or not have to smile at the Tower of Terror Ride.

Once we went to an “in and out burger” and one of the workers said, I play Donald Duck in the fantastic parade” or something like that please don’t fire him I like hi,

I smile 24/7 I never frown this is the perfect job

Video is mostly about Disney face character rather than a cast member. They aren't forbidden to saying " I don't know" We were allowed to say i don't know if we truly didn't know, or "i'm not sure but-" and recommend something else. We are allowed to talk about outside reference if the guest brings it up or we're on break. It's not that strict honestly, i worked at a park my first college program and we never use code words unless we spoke with custodial. I've heard really dumb stuff coming from guest all the time.

As a former cast member I can promise you so many things on this list are bs and over exaggerated.

Okay, but once you've left the company, what contract are you being held to that says Disney can sue me for saying I was "friends with" a character? There isn't one. Yes, it is ideal not to tell people, but the fact is that people talk and that's okay. The point is not to ruin the magic for children. In addition, there are other roles to fulfill as a cast member that have nothing to do with performing. You could work in food service or merchandise and still be a cast member.

Rebecca Kravitz I hate it, they’d look a lot more regal if they weren’t grinning like idiots for the whole dance. I love kyo mai, which is a school of traditional Japanese dance and they’re not supposed to make any facial expressions at all lol

One time a cast member fell And started crying she had a huge cut and she smiled it was scary She was smiling with blood coming off her head and crying ;-; (._.)

If I was in charge, I'd DROP the smiling rule. The characters show ALL emotions in their films! The constant smiling is stupid; kids are NOT as braindead as Disney thinks they are, and they need discipline due to their CONSTANT screaming.

Else told me to have a Disney day before when I was 5 and I hugged her 🙄 then Anna told me else didn’t like hugs and at the time I was waiting in line for three hours so I hugged her anyway 😂
