I am so grateful for this video.i find myself coming back to it. It is really fun using with the new update, and using the software until my dumbass accidentally changed some setting, the left mic only came out of the left channel and right mic jack came out of the right channel, like they were split up somehow, had to go through the whole loop stations menu then i finally gave up and factory restored it and lost all my beats. 😂😂😂. It takes so much time learning the ins and outs, i feel it is a completely different device then the mark 1. It should have been called something else. It can be be really intermediating to learn, most of our mistakes are probably user error. There are endless possibilities with this device.

1:10 the shure sm7b doesn't require phantom power, it require only if you use a cloudlifter. Also, I think the RC-505 MK2 already provide enough gain for the microphone as well so, yeah!

I'm trying to use this device as the "heart" of my setup, but unfortunately it seems to have a Poor Sound quality. Do you know some kind of device or config that can help with this poor sound quality? I'm thinking about to put a Direct Box on the main output to return to Mixer, any thoghts about it?

Thanks for your amazing video! I work with samples and live looping on the rc. Sometimes I have a sample and I overdub life over it. At the moment I have the problem, that the live-loops over the sample are much quiter then the sample. But when I put the volume up of the microphone (for the live-looping) it is to loud for the usuall life singing. Do you know what I mean?:)

How does mk2 make up for not having mic input level knob? Apart from being More complicated and sophisticated to use, are there other disadvantages with mk1? I'm thinking of getting one for looping handpan, didgeridoo, jaw hsrp snd other instruments

Are there still certain efx you can't have in the same bank or am I doing something wrong? I like having the vinyl stop and beat scatter as single efx but it never seems to allow these in the same bank at the same time.

Hi Nice work! very good vids. I was wondering if you could help here . I am recording drums live sitting at the drumkit with a footswitch to record next to the hihat pedal. I am choosing track 1 as my drum loop/ bas trk 2/guitar 3 etc. My problem is that when I want to record drums onto Trk 1 without touching the machine, it will randomly select another track. The only way I can seem to make it work is to record something for a second on Trk 1....erase it ... then that track will be set. I think I may have missed something in the set up. hope you can help and thanks again

Great tutororial.. btw, Can U run a mono input to ONE side of a stereo output? (or do mono inputs HAVE to get sent out both sides of a designated stereo output? (I know u can change the "stereo" output to "mono" output,, but I don't want to do that, cuz I also need to use the stereo output for another instrument in stereo) Question is: Can the outputs (while set to stereo) ALSO play mono inputs that are routed to just the left (or just the right) side?? I don't think you can do one preset only but all of them together is possible

Hey dude - question for you. I have the original 505 and the MII and I like to mainly use 4ish effects. Is there a way to save them globally so that each track would use those by default? On the gen 1 505 you can load a preset bank to a new preset “track” as a template but so far I can’t find anything similar on the MKII. Am I missing something?

im having issues using headphones. is it possible to use the mk2 with a headphone adapter in the phones slot?

I don't have a pedal like this so I can't be 100% sure about what I'm gonna say but try this : Menu > CTL FUNC > CTL/EXP > and here you can choose for example what ctl 1 and 2 will do
