I think ECB should not select Malan for this year T20 world cup as the world cup is in UAE and he's not good enough to play spin , Mooen Ali and Livingstone are far better players of spin than Malan. They may consider him for next year's world cup which will be played in Australia.

Livingstone for me should be a nailed on starter especially in the UAE. He is a great player of spin. I would drop malan put bairstow at 3 and then livingstone 4. Malan is a good player but is bad against spin and is tempo doesnt suit the rest of the england team.

pat brown is still 22 i guess. he is really young and inexperienced and was rushed in the eng team because of talent when he was not fully ready. the hundred will kind of help him to get that step up because he is a good skillful bowler with all the attributes needed to be a good t20 bowler.

it absolutely blown up my mind when milne was selected as an injury cover whereas jamieson is in the main squad. what has jamieson done in t20 till now. mostly nothing. he has talent, there is not argument that he can get better the more he plays in t20 cricket but at the moment milne is a serious deal. the problem with milne was of injury issues that he was not able to play a string of games consistently but now he has worked on his fitness and action slightly with shane bond and that has helped him to play a full BBL, now the hundred.

liam has just peaked at the perfect time now forcing the england management and morgan to include him. it is getting more difficult to ignore him. he should definitely play ahead of malan. not that malan is bad, but livingstone is proving to be much better than malan and also livingstone's fearless approach fits the morgan template perfectly. he will not waste delieveries and has ability to both whack the ball but bat sensibly. liam was always a great striker but reason he was dropped from team in 2017 was because he was really reckless but now liam has mastered the art of playing long innings.

@@Abhinavsingh-gq8fc there are a lot of caveats with dawid malan which you need to think of. firstly, those flury of runs came in NZ which is complete alien in t20s to the rest of world. pitches are flatter than the highways there with grounds as small as a hotel suit. malan bats like an anchor on flat wickets where you do'nt need them and struggles really badly on two paced tracks where you need the anchor. his problem of slow start is another thing that creates problems for team. his starts are like 1(6), 2(5), 3(9). if he gets through this phase and converts then the final output of stats look good but if he gets out in this phase then it puts a lot of pressure on team. this pitch was also two paced but liam had no issues, i bet that you bring spin on this track against malan. either he gets out or worse consumes dot balls. he can be a star on pacy wickets which allow him to convert his slow start into impactful innings later on but the wickets of UAE are not meant for dawid. do me a favour and just check the ground dimesnsions of cricket stadium in wellington.

@@arjunmishra3537 stokes is most likely gonna come back and morgan kind of wants him in the team. maybe because he believes that stokes will win him crucial games or stokes forms a crucial leadership core but stokes is a lock in morgan's XI. also stokes can provide handy seam bowling option which will allow england to play 2 or even 3 spinners if tracks are spin conducive. although stokes is not a great t20 bowler but still a handy one for couple of overs.
