Why are you showing the riskier side of travel within the country, elephants attacking vehicles? I would think twice about venturing out in SL after seeing them. Instead show Pinnawela and the elephants frolicking in the Maha Oya there.
correction: Maldives has the highest literacy rate in South Asia with over 97% while Sri lank is with around 92%.

wow nice captures and thanks for creating this . but im not sure about the hydro power scenario. its mostly diesel. and about education yeah gov spends enormously for education but majority of the educated spirit just leave the country once they have the capacity to coz of the corrupted . so its other countries which yields the harvest.

Not only there are 10 shocking things but many more shocking things are there if you deep delve into your research buddy. You are talking about 1 million job in Tea plantation sector. But the living standards of the plantation workers are the worst. They are underpaid modern slaves in the world. Their housing standards, education infrastructure, health care sector and many more facilities are the worst in the world. If you get a chance please travel through tea plantation areas, do an extensive research/survey and present an honest video about the status of the plantation workers in Sri Lanka.😢😢😢😢.

The living conditions of estate workers have greatly improved.Many old line room style accomadation is replaced with single house type accomadation. These houses are equipped with electricity and in some cases tap water.Many government hospitals operate in most large tea estates with government doctors serving them.An abundance of schools are serving the children of the plantations Why should one say the plantation sector is the worst off in the world and the workers are equalent to slaves?

The fact about cows is totally wrong. It is factually incorrect and the footage is not from Sri Lanka. Why do you present it so convincingly? Even though the other facts are ok, the irrelevant thumbnail and the cringe catchphrase degrade the video's authenticity. Just another video yearning for views...

I'm talking about the visuals and not the narrative. Have you been to the northern part of Sri Lanka? I don't think there are so many cows in the streets as shown in the video.
Even Alaxander the Great also acknowledged Sripada (Fallsified as Adam's Peak) as the significant sacred relic of Lord Buddha about 2000 years ago. Even Fahian, Hunathsaan the chinese monks in their inscrpts denoted its significance to Buddhists and at the time thiere were not Muslims or Christianity in Sr Lanka. All these came after the colonisation by Europeans about 500 years ago.
This is not in Srilanka, was happened in Bangladesh about 10 years ago.

Both Hollanders and Brits helped achieve this high rate of literacy. The Dutch made it compulsory for parents to send their children to school while the latter made education free. Whats more, they helped to keep our curriculum aligned to those of GCE london or GCSE. In early 70s, their trainer would come and coach the teacher on modern math (set theory, etc). Thanks for this video.

Talking about corruption, Sri Lanka is ranking 115 out of 180 countries in corruption perception index, only getting 34 points out of 100! a failed state! Shame!

You are misleading that the video is southern India or else , nothern srilanka jaffna is very rich, but most of them left to the western countries today about 4 million people .only about half a million people living in nothern srilanka.
