Neither of my ex wives had any of that, the second was a 21 year old virgin who was amazing for 8 years... then she thought she could do better. That was ten years ago, now she is 41, alone, unwanted, and miserable having just lost her job with the township. I'm 54 and have completely lost interest in women because the ones close to my age are only single because of poor choices/judgement, and the young ones are all kinds of messed up. Rebuilding rusty old muscle cars is vastly more rewarding, and infinitely less expensive.

As a grandma, who just lost my sweetheart to leukemia last March, I say to all the girls, and guys too, don't pretend to be something you're not just to snag a guy or gal. Because once you're married, it all hangs out and then people feel like they've been duped. I mean, please clean yourself up and look nice, but make sure it's a level you can maintain after you're married. And seriously, think about how people will react to all the tats and piercings BEFORE you get them! Some people find them extremely offensive. At any rate, it's probably best to not go overboard on any permanent changes. I want to say, be yourself, but remember that it takes two. You BOTH still have to make an effort to please your spouse if you don't want him or her looking elsewhere. Relationships are work. If you're a narcissist (only concerned with your own needs and never with other people's needs) like the second girl, stay single. You don't deserve a relationship.

Sorry about your husband its sad to have someone linger on after the other, but at least life is better now than 100 years ago. Its not men leaving women anymore, its women leaving men, and blaming men for all the problems, including her stepping out. The incentives for men to NOT divorce are massive, but the incentives for women to divorce good men are also massive. She benefits greatly from leaving, she gets access to another man's resources while still getting paid from the previous one. Women have no incentive to stick around anymore. Society encourages them to leave good men, telling the women they can do better and deserve the best. Now we have all these 35 and younger ones who think they are going to keep that 6'4" millionaire who works out 4 days a week, but they can't get him to commit. So they all share him, and they all share the infections that come with that. The reality is not like it was over 40 years ago. Reality is exactly what I just wrote here.

I would have no problem ignoring that second girl all morning, every morning. If first girl had her own truck, I might friend zone her until I found the "one". Once I found the "one", I would continue to ignore girl number 2 and ghost the first girl out of respect for the "one". Context- I found the "one" 35 years ago. She took care of me and I took care of her until death did us part three years ago (cancer). I honor her still by being the best father and grandfather that I can be. No regrets!

When I was a teenager, say from about 15 up, I would have killed for this kind of direct advice. I remember talking to my friends about dating, Girls, etc and realized pretty quick they didn’t have a clue either. My oldest sister, at the time, was no help (she would be later), but my older sister did help to some extent. My parents gave me practical advice (open the door for her, you have to buy a corsage, etc) but little else. Considering the bombardment our kids are getting today, the ones with functioning neurons will recognize this for the value it is - if you can keep their attention for more than 5 minutes.

Don't have the patience for all that drama and the snooty little "Valley girls". We don't need a pep talk every morning, but we do need reminders of why we teamed-up in the first place, and that means being pleasant to the one person you picked, over all others in the world, to share your bed and home. I am surrounded by a much more loving Christian group than I was in years past. I pray one of the Christian men in my church group decides to pursue me. I pray for it every day. Too bad the secular children I went to school with bullied me into believing I was not worthy of marriage. I know I am, for the Lord Jesus Christ laid it on my heart that I am. My main girlfriend from high school has remained good friends with me and my wife (the girlfriend after her.) She didn't get married until 34 and she just asked us for prayer for her 7th pregnancy! We're so excited for her and pleased that God didn't leave such a worthy woman unmarried and childless. To get to that point she had to: Move to Ireland Live in Calcutta serving the poor Join a convent Leave her convent Move to California (gross) Move to Minnesota. Consider leaving your church and splitting your time at another church. Increase the pool of potential fellas. If you don't wear makeup, find your best feature and highlight it with makeup. Don't use a pet as a balm for loneliness. Cat ladies are a cliche for a reason. Let loneliness keep hurting. You are valuable and beautiful and good. But you could be more.

Non-promiscuous, feminine, nurturing, and to a degree less successful. Of course, the individual you’re dealing with at any given time, may have additional preferences, or may not care about one of the things mentioned above, but for the most part staying within those lines gives a woman the best chance at marrying a man that she respects, which is really The optimal outcome.

The best dating advice I’ve ever heard is “Be the person who you’re looking for is looking for.” If you want a decent, polite person, be the person who a decent polite person wants.

If I was young and single, I would have no problem dating her. She seems pretty cool to me. Great personality, keeps herself in shape, nice attitude, introspective and of course very attractive. She's a catch for young single man in my opinion.
