Fun fact about the title screen in case there are people who doesn't know. The scarlet or violet book was origially in the title screen with a poke ball on top of it the first time you play the game and stays there until you beat the main story. Once the main story is cleared the book and the poke ball is gone signifying the events that you have given the book to the AI professors before they gone off to their own adventure. The books come back to the title screen only after you have done the secret ending.

If you talk to Arven after getting the book from the professor he’ll notice and assume we checked out a copy from the library

Arven wouldn’t believe that we met there real dad or mom depends on what version you are playing I play scarlet so it mom but I also play violet and that is dad so it actually depends what version you play on

little bit related, I just realized that the Savannah terrarium takes direct inspiration from the gen 1 safari zone as it includes all the pokemon (chansey, execute, executor, scyther, tauros, rhyhorn, venonat, venomoth) with the exception of kangaskan from that gen.

Small detail you might miss, but after obtaining the Scarlet/Violet book from the professor, if you've completed Arven's side quests and go to his room and talk to him, he'll notice and question how you have the book, before assuming you borrowed a copy from the library. And If you check the Scarlet/Violet book in the entrance, it's had new entries added and another entry is added to the papers found just outside the elevator underneath area zero where you find the desks.

I went back to look at the papers next to the elevator after I did the cutscene, but didn't find anything new. The entry about the child at the lake with the white book was already there the first time, it's just optional to read them (the dialogue with the other characters only show the first entry while there is already 3, I think). I'll go back to look at the book in the library though, I didn't check that.

Munch, I'm sorry but you made a mistake. During the item printer section, you said you unlock Pokeball creation at Master ball rank. You actually unlock it at ultraball rank. Double items is at Great ball rank. And at Masterball rank, you can print stellar shards

The Be Still My Left Hand is more of a reference to Chuunibyou (loosely translated to delusions of grandeur, that many young teens experience growing up.) which is a very ingrained thing in Japanese culture. The pose that Gladion makes is similar, but not exactly the same.

I feel bad for Kieran, I liked him even though he was a little bit too set on beating the main character. I still think the item cave should have had like a Master ball 😆.

I'll give you a little hint that if you invite Dreyton and Hassel to the clubroom, you'll get a special conversation about Dreyton's background. But I won't say more so I don't spoil you too much.

I have a hard time believing 'We' killed Arven's parents cause they never mentioned us before the DLC was released. The professors choose to stay rather than not thinking for one second to check on their son. And you forgot to mention the two legendary Pokemon's true names. Winged King and Iron Serpent. Those names caught me surprise that it's their real names and we did tell the professors those names. So appreciate, we give those names what we thought it was from the Professors, are from us. Again, this timeline and time travel confuses me sometimes.

I mean the prof wouldn't have mentioned us during the area zero finale anyways as that wasn't the original professor....it was their A.I clone which would have been made long after we handed off the book to the original. Also the original professor DOES mention the player in a side journal entry in the Area Zero underdepths. There's a journal next to the elevator that you can interact with with a special entry where the professor talks about meeting a child at the top of a mountain that smells of sulfur who handed them a white book, aka the player. So the timeline would be like hand off the white book to the original professor and we are given the incomplete scarlet/violet book > they go heavy into their research and build the A.I > korai/mirai kill the prof > the events of the main story happen > Kitakami dlc > indigo dlc where briar makes the white book > loop. At least that's how it seems to be setting up the story with the info GF has given us.

They aluded to the secert meet the professor scene in part 1 aswell carmine said that some say you can meet those that died at the cyrstal pool

A very minor mistake, but Ryuki is from Sun and Moon. He was also in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, but his appearance never changed. He was one of your challengers as Champion in Sun and Moon

The first time I went on top of that Tera orb thing I was curious too and I also didn’t think it would let me up. And same with you, I was pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong. I nice to know that I wasn’t the only one.

Pro tip about the item printer there are four pokémon materials that give a whopping 68% they are Ditto goom happiny dust, magby hair and beldum claws. So all you really need to do to get materials for the printer is slap on a normal encounter power to sandwich and go outside the team's star fairy base and you are set. In addition Master Ball tier will allow you to get more than one item per print take Tara shards for example before the upgrade you would only get one if you printed them after the upgrade you can get up to In my experience 27.

Well technically the new epilogue event just got revealed too so on January 11th we will finally be 100% complete with scarlet and violet. This feels like the longest game they have supported so I’m really curious after January what we will see from the Pokemon company going forward and what the next project is 🤔🤔 I’m honestly hoping for gen5 remakes or black and white 3 at this point.

I still wished they have added the Black Augurite for Scyther to evolved into Kleavor and even better show Pikachu and Exeggcute evolved into Alolan Raichu and Alolan Exeggutor only in any part of the Terarium.

I shiny hunted for Pichu for that reason lol. I thought the terarium's controlled climate will allow us to evolve our Pokémon to their Alolan forms.

I like how people complained about geetas team but they gave her the team everyone wanted when they invite her as a coach

Thinking about, I'm not sure warning the professors about their fate would have stopped them from creating the time machine....

the fact that this video is 15 minutes long speaks for itself! the amount of details in this dlc is verry promising for whatever gen 5 thing game freak is probably doing next!!!

Fun Fact: there's actually a fun "The Lion King" reference in one of the DLC areas! 🦁👑

This video and the ending was amazing.. found this recommended to me and decided to see if i missed any easter eggs, and the crystal pool scene was beautiful. Thank you!

We're not done with the game yet, there's an epilogue coming next month where we go back to Kitakami!

I honestly feel like you have done a better job of selling me on the DLC than game freak has. I might just get it after all.

@@Hoshimaru57 it isn't really a post game because a post game comes after the league and is free and is part of the region and not an add on and sorry black & white and black & white 2 is far better post games. if lack of diversity that deerling and skiddo ratio to everything else is pathetic , boring characters, an open world far more restrictive than legends telling you you have choice but making you do everything anyway, another team worst than flare, very boring legends and a shocking gimmick and lazy designs i mean future pokemon doesn't mean iron. the fact is pokemon has gone down since it went 3d and it still is yet to recover.

Although I wouldn’t say that we caused the Professors’ deaths (because leaving their son is 100% on them) and the chance that those were Professors of a different timeline/universe (because them trading out their own book would lead to Arven not having access to their book for the Mystic Weed in the past and causing more plot holes like such), we certainly caused the dominoes to fall in a way. I also theorize/hc that the reason why the AIs recognizes us, even before “their” own son, is that they “subconsciously” recognize that we’re somehow otherworldly and important for that event or something like that.

I think the thing with the scarlet/violet book is that we haven't completed the time loop it needs to have yet. The book has to get to the lighthouse so Arven can find it, and suspiciously the Time Machine is also now locked after the DLC.

Because we already saw through the arven mission post game that there’s a scarlet/violet book in the library at the academy which means arven probably just found another one his dad had at the library but 🤷🏻‍♂️

I imagine there is another event where we pass it on, not least because there’s a datamined Scarlet/Violet phone case (which can be seen on Briar’s phone) which has no known method to obtain it. I’m guessing whatever we finally do with the book gets us the case for our version.

If this was in gen 7 or 8, the Area Zero Underdepths definitely would’ve just been a hallway.

Caught every pokemon evo from a raid. Ive completed the dex. Used discord to find touch trades. This game is fun.

When I did the auctions, I had the grandma every time and she would keep running it to at least 350k pokedollars. I don’t know what she did to afford such a well funded retirement, but pop off Queen.

I want to point out that the mark charm was in swsh from completing the crown tundra pokedex

Even within the new Pokemon Horizons Anime, Terapagos has a important ability to spread a mist that shows (Anime) Terapagos's Trainer in a flashback even over 100 years. Terapagos might have more than what we think it is capable of.

Like the legend about the crystals in the lake says, they have a power to _technically_ bring people back from the dead. Terapagos just charged them up as it's the source of terastal power.

Interesting take on the cut scene with the professors as for the rest I've started some probably won't be completing any of the pokedex of any part of scarlet and violet (I have both and have another switch but only have the dlc of scarlet and violet on 1 of them ) and I finally understand how to shiny hunt using auto battles I was a bit skeptical of how it worked but while doing an auto battle last night and getting my 1st shiny of The Indigo Disk in scarlet I finally understand and went on to get some more shinys great video

This HAS to be one of the BEST POKEMON game in terms of story wise and just overall game play.

I talked to Arven to try to give him the book since it would be more meaningful to him but couldn't. He even mentions that you have the book but then starts talking about his mabosstiff.

Omg mood. I also figured out the flying thing to the green ball on the ceiling by chance. First thing I did after getting to fly. I’d flown to the polar biome’s peak, and then thought “how far will this let me go”. And I kept expecting an invisible wall, but there wasn’t and I make it up there. Naturally the second thing I did was fling myself off it, but that’s a different story.

What if the prehistoric beasts and futuristic swords of justice were conceived because gamefreak intend to have Johto AND Unova remakes to conclude gen 9? Pokémon Let’s Go Johto and Pokémon Gray Legends Kyurem confirmed for 2024 & 2025. They’re making this generation 4 years to buy time for making gen 10 on the rumored switch successor.

I stumbled upon the secret ending with Terapagos on accident as I was filling out the kitakami pokedex. Was really cool finding it, and hope more future games having these kind of scenes

Okay, but doesn't having the Professor's copy of the Scarlet/Violet book completely ruin everything? Not that we're responsible for them completing the time machine, but if we now have the book in our present, that means the professor won't have it where Arven can get his hands on it. That means he'll never get to know how to save Mabosstiff. And that means we won't have it in the past so we can use it to deactivate the time machine.

Its funny because i got the secret ending on accident after trying to take a screenshot of terapagos and other legendary pokemon in front of the crystal pool

i think after all the dlc and story i definitely like S/V more now. it does suck for how long we have to wait and there’s no more fun post game story immediately after like the old pokémon but this lets them add a whooole lot and in the end i honestly love it.

This guild was helpful because i needed the tera shards

By the way, at Master Ball Rank, the Item Printer can make multiple items for the same amount of BP.

Its actually not a reference to Owain, infact Owain's pose or the character himself is actually a reference to a certain thing in real life called the "chunibyo" which translates to 2nd grade or middle school syndrome. Both gladeon and Owain has a severe case of this syndrome and alot of teens goes through this in their lives.

I watched this to see if there was anything I missed, I only missed the secret room in area zero, I’m pleased with myself.

I can only see the first episode you made on this series (and the 2nd one with the Synchro machine isn't visible on your channel but I've seen it already). I wanted to know, therefore, whether you have already made a 3rd part or more?

If they indeed tried to make a time loop they did a pretty poor job as they ignored previous established canon writen on the journals. Alos two things people don't take into account is Arven wasn't even born when the time machine was created and the first raidon brought. Second, in our timeline we needed that book as later would have the professor's ID there in order to stop the time machine. From our timeline perspective, this makes no sense.

I wonder how the player being responsible for Arven's parents deaths would've affected the player's relationship with Arven if he found out

Hey Munch, just want to point out that Pokedollars are using the currency format of Yen, they don't use decimals for cents. Drop 2 zeros at the end to get a proper dollar format: 100,000 Pokedollars is actually 1,000

NGL, I hope they add more side quests and a new story in it if possible. The game hit me emotionally and I can't stop playing the game. Only regret was really running through the game. I was so into it I was just absorbed into the game. (This is my first Pokemon Game ever. I got Legends of Arceus and I'm planning on completing it, but Scarlet kept calling me.) Anyways, this game "IS" amazing in my opinion and can't wait for what the future holds. Honorable mention to my Little Oggy Poggy (Ogrepon) and Vogue (Meowscarada)

What I'm looking forward in the remakes is the PWT battling all the regions hym leaders anf champions was amazing and it was good practice for me for online battles.

So... That paradox mentioned at the end? That's not actually a paradox for a... Weird reason. As noted, we trade The Hidden Treasure Of Area Zero, the white book, for Sada/Turo's copy of the Scarlet/Violet book. But that right there? That's impossible. Not even paradoxical, it defies a paradox. Judging by the description, this is *the* Scarlet/Violet book. As in the one we used to shut down the Time Machine at the end of the original story. The one that we were given by Arven down in Area Zero. The one Arven was supposed to have gotten from Sada/Turo's lab, that he referenced for the Herba Mystica throughout the Path of Legends. Sada/Turo gave it to us before they died. So how could Arven have found it in their lab? How could he have given it to us in Area Zero? How could we have used it to shut down the Time Machine? That is not a paradox. It goes the wrong way to be a paradox. The white book would be the paradox, but the Scarlet/Violet Book that Arven used in the Path of Legends should not exist. Now, this could be fixed by saying it's just a different copy. But this is not implied to be the case. The AI says that the professor has "loved that volume since childhood", while the descriptions for the books say "the book has the name Sada/Turo written on it in clumsy handwriting", and the Professor even says it's their personal copy when they give it to you. So it's the same copy. This means that either it's a different universe, which could break the bootstrap paradox of the white book (since it wouldn't be a closed loop, eventually you could reach a timeline where the Professor was not given a white book and simply managed on their own, with that Briar's book ending up in a different timeline and starting the pattern across timelines), or we actually changed the past entirely, as the Scarlet/Violet Book could not then be used as the key to the Time Machine nor could it guide us and Arven through the Path of Legends, potentially preventing us from befriending Arven and stopping the Time Machine, among other potential changes.

I think ‘be still my left hand’ actually references shun Kaido from Saiki K

Finally, all my time exterminating chansey for ev training is going to be quite worth it .
