FYI: As someone who lives in Columbus, and works for them, Nationwide insurance is one of the largest private employers in the city. So, seeing "NATIONWIDE" in the film isn't as much of an emersion killer as you might think!

In the UK, Nationwide Building Society isn’t an insurance institution but more similar to a bank. Logos are....similar and in a quick pan hard to notice on film.

I remember catching that and wondering why they would replicate a single woman using fuzzy, low-res CGI. Surely they could simply tell three extras to walk in the background! Man, when the penny dropped, it dropped so hard it pulverized the concrete!

Right. @0:10 "Sometimes looking too closely can just about ruin it all... After all there's lots of bits in films that the filmmakers were banking on you not noticing... With that in mind here are 10 Sci-Fi Movies You Must Never Pause". Intentionally misleading. Pedantic to say she didn't use the word 'mistakes'.

One of my favorite movie games "Shemp Spotting ". Shemp spotting is named for the actor in the Three Stooges Shemp Howard. When he either took ill or was injured and the studio replaced him with a stuntman in some of the shorts when he had to really get pummeled, unfortunately the studio didn't use a similarly built stuntman. I guess it was whoever was on the lot was Shemp's double that day. Resulting in classically bad stunt scenes. You can play this with a ton of tv shows and movies. My favorite was playing spot the shemp while watching the original Star Trek.

In Zach Snyder's Dawn of the Dead you can see the fire crew and other on lookers watching the carnage at the beginning of the movie. Right after Sarah Polley's character refuses to stop her car for a woman on the street the camera cuts to a shot behind the car as it turns. On the left side of the screen you can see at least one firetruck with a small crowd standing and watch the scene.

CGI Neo always moves in a strange, over-energetic way. It's the total opposite of his real self, so it sticks right out. He's always bending and contorting his body, and he has a sly smile on at all times. I would like to bring attention to a scene from Blade Runner when the main character Deckard is driving through a tunnel. Eventually, he reaches the other end, and it looks like a normal modern street. There are street signs and modern vehicles. It's so weird. Like the shot lingers for way too long.

In fairness, regarding the Robocop entry, the Ronny Cox puppet’s arms weren’t so comically overlong, but we’re actually in perfect proportion with the rest of the body. Unfortunately the lens in the camera they were using to film that element caused some distorted foreshortening effect on the arms, making them look like they do in the final film.

In Robocop there is a car that's supposed to be like a Rolls Roice or something, the SUX6000. But when the guy steals it and parks near the other guys the internal rear view mirror falls off when he close the door. In BraveHeart's final scene (I think) we se a closeup of Mel Gibson's feet and there are clearly metal eyelets on his shoes which I'm pretty sure didn't exist that time. Ok the entire movie has heaps of flaws but this was the one that broke my immersion. Also I just learned my Terminator 2 is the copy that was edited. Which makes sense as it has several deleted scenes but I never thought of that...

The arrest sequence felt it was an out of body experience from the drug and they were actually pushing people over, hence they get arrested. He draws her but the scene actually happens later. I was a bit happier with an ambiguous ending but I still like the movie with the decision that he makes to stay under. I'm still happy with the movie but I'm going to watch it again with the foreknowledge and look for other clues.

There is also a Nationwide in the the United States. It is a large insurance company which just so happens to be based in Columbus, OH, making the appearance of the sign in READY PLAYER ONE inconsequential.

Not sure if the Ready player one should be included. When it was popular for American films to be shot in Australia, specifically Sydney, we could clearly see familiar locations.

The odd thing about the Ready Player One thing is that we actually have a Nationwide building downtown in Columbus. It’s a different company than the one shown in the movie but it’s still funny that we still “technically” have one.

The Matrix Reloaded scene, what I heard was done intentional, to show agent Smith was duplicated himself so much it was using more CPU and GPU processes, slowing down the Matrix. Remember The Matrix is a computer generated world.

Now you have to do a top 10 fantasy films you should never pause. Because the battle of Isengard has not aged well in the HD age. But seeing as this is sci-fi I'll take a pop at another icon. Return of the Jedi. The bit when the rebel forces join the imperial fleet in battle above Endor and you get this cockpit view from the Falcon of just TIE Fighters everywhere. Looks great in motion, pause it and every TIE has a distinct square of "space" that's lighter than the starfield they're set against. I know it was the 80's but with all of Lucas's fiddling with the films during the 90's it just bugs me that they never tidied it up.

Man, you guys would hate El Marichi. It was shot with a single camera, pausing the actors mid-scene to move said camera to a new angle several times, and most of the set mistakes were just left in because writer and director Robert Rodriguez thought it was the story that counted. This is a movie with less than $8,000 spent on production that is far better than a lot of movies on a far larger budget. But you dorks would not like it.
