Getting the answer using 10s complement, first we get the 9s complement of the subtrahend 48 923 but not including the 1st and 2nd digit ("48"), lets focus on how many digits are minued in subtracting this, since it is 3 digit, then we get the 3 digits numbers of our minued starting from right to left = "923" and has a 9s complement of 076 and by adding 1 we get 077 its 10s complent. Second, when we arrive the answer of 48 200, on this we will then get its 9s complement which is 48 799 and by adding 1 we get 48 800. Last, by putting negative (-) sign we get the final answer -48 800. ( Notice, I never change the first two digit to its 9s complement. It just remains as it is)
