There is no job in the world that’s worth crossing that flooded mountain pass in a vehicle. Couldn’t pay me enough. Remember it only takes 18 inches of water to float a car…right off of the mountain.

I remember being in a flash flood when I was at school. We were doing a work experience thing and we had to leave early because of everything and the thing is I don’t drive (18, now 26 still don’t drive) and so I had to wait until the cleaners picked me and another kid up to the train station where the trains weren’t working and eventually they closed everything and told us to find accomodation elsewhere. So here’s me, cold, wet, no food or money and trying to find somewhere dry. Eventually I overheard that the library was open to people and I stayed there until my former father came to get me at nearly midnight. Wondering why it took so long? He had to get off work. Used to be the worst day of my life but that changed when our beloved dog died last September.😢😢

Saw that. What I have tried to figure out is if there is something like a dog left standing on the SUV stuck in the flood, or if that dark thing you can see near the hood is something like a car snorkel. The latter might explain why the young guys got stuck in the middle of the flood, they maybe thought they could drive through it due to having a car that should have been able to handle even a bit deeper water.

The ridiculous part is that some of these otherwise incredible recordings were captured on a perfectly good wide angle cameras, but the stupidity of some idiot turning the camera vertical and capturing a very narrow image, with lots of that wide angle wasted on shoes and sky. THAT'S the ridiculous part. People are not getting any smarter.
