Have you been on PM lately??? The live shows killed closet sales. I'm a small closet and happy with 5 to 7 sales a week. However, when lives rolled out it died. MANY MANY closets experiencing the same. Only a few were granted access to LIVE shows and those sellers have $3 and $5 starts.. Those items are junk they've listed just for listings. The lives have devalued high end brands selling them off for $20. When I started Poshmark I listened to people like you and sourced all the brands that were trending.. I got stuck with these items because the market was oversaturated with the particular brands. I stay away from the trending brands and now source from my own personal closet and do just fine.. my sales have slowly come back . Not what it was last year but not dead like they were a couple 3 weeks ago.. Think out of the box with sourcing..resellers aren't selling right now because the lives changed the algorithm drastically..ur photo tips and descriptive tips are great though.

Live shows have killed the regular sales this is just an established non-debatable fact now. Brand sourcing is also not gonna work in a long run. I agree with everything you said there .❤ Best.

I could not disagree with the "lives killed my sales" more. I think it's funny that just because the feature came out around the same time that sales tanked, it has anything to do with the lives. It has nothing to do with the lives. It has everything to do with the fact that the economy has gone down The toilet! people are scared. People have no disposable money to spend and now they're allowed to leave the house again for a long time they weren't, and they had to rely on us while they were shopping because they couldn't go out and do it themselves. The one and only part that I agree with is the fact that the lives and other resellers have degraded the market so much on so many items that should be worth more money because they're selling them for far too cheap because they just want that quick money so rather than charge the $90 it should be for some thing they're charging 20 because they made a quick sale and I needed that 20 bucks to go. I don't know buy cigarettes or whatever , but now they don't think about the fact that somebody is coming item later or even themselves when they go to combat item later instead of being able to charge was $90 without a charge them $50 and it just keeps getting lower and lower. So that's the part that I do agree with is that the lives and other resellers and their ignorance are devaluing our items far too much so people make us low ball offers that are ridiculous. But let's not kid ourselves people not having any extra money killed our sales and people being able to go out and shop for themselves again without fear of dying killed our sales. Plus, let's be real here Poshmark is killing our sales. Poshmark is running us into the ground with changes that they're making and choosing not to make, including the lives, including promoted closets, and how they refuse to fix the algorithm and the search.

@erica paul you say the decrease in sales aren't due to the lives, yet when they rolled them out is when everyone started experiencing the slow down. So yes, I will always blame the live shows. The live shows screwed up the algorithm AGAIN. The lives affected all aspects of closet selling. The only ones that will disagree are the closets that are lucky enough not to feel it and the live shows peddling their $3 goods and crusty LV bags. I believe somehow the algorithm is working for half the platform and in a few months it will change and those experiencing no sales will then be selling once again.. LIVES..LIVES IS KEY TO THE MADNESS!! And for all the idiots not having problems selling, STFU with "you're not selling what people want and ur closet pics aren't good"

Interesting. But I got on PM as the same time as a friend, and in that time I sold 25 items which were stuff I had in my closet, while she sold 100+ that she had sourced and were trending brands, and she never did a live show.

Don't be afraid to list an item with a Flaw just make sure to indicate what the Flaw Is in your listing. Flawed items sell, I have sold many items that had flaws.

I have to agree with someone who said live shows are killing closet sales. I tried the free 2 week trial for Posher VA, which was sharing and following constantly all day and sending offers to likers 15 minutes after they liked an item and no increase in sales. That just blows the theory this whole time that sharing and following gets the sales. I never had to work this hard before August when the live shows started and I'm making less sales now with more work. Time to put more effort into other platforms for now that don't have live shows. I'm making more sales on these sites than Poshmark anyway. I'm wondering if there is any truth to something I saw on another video about how Poshmark is now refunding the buyer and seller when there is a dispute. Due to the fraud class action lawsuit they are going through right now, maybe they are trying to lose as much money as possible, which is why they don't care about how poorly the live shows are doing revenue wise and also losing the normal sales volume they had from closets prior to live shows.

Almost the sellers do posh live shows, start bid at $5, and make a bundle. It's hard to sell, and I can't posh live shows, too. It's hard keeping a good price.

When I go to the posh landing page, I used to see CLOSETS, now I see LIVE SHOWS ALL over the page. I wonder if Posh is considering charging MORE for the live shows either in fees or a flat rate? Many of us are not camera ready. I'm searching for other platforms and don't tend to Posh like I used to.

I sell in demand designer item and can't even give it away...And now all my offers a low, low, low ball; buyers now have come to expect that all/everybody items should be given away at 7 dollars and under; they've been conditioned by they auctions now Posh is pushing. I've contacted Poshmark about it 3 times and never heard from them in regard. This is greed in the workings at it's best! Welcome to your new world; it will never be the way it was prior to Corona and now 5$ Poshmark auctions...

Stumbled on your video. Great Content for those new to Poshmark and great remiinders. A great filter to use is "Just In" for comps. Looking forward to viewing more videos.

I'm stuck at one sale a week. Constantly sharing . Added variety of what I can. Post 10 new items a week, sometimes more, depending on what time I have. I've taken items friends gave me to resell, as well as clothes my kids and I grew out of. I also send offers when people make bundles. I started with name brand and boutique clothes and when those weren't selling, I began posting more. I always do parties too.

You are a fabulous teacher! You are so precise and concise and your videos are really helping me do better. I now understand sharing -- I couldn't figure it out before, so thanks for that. I could go on! I do have a question if that's okay. I have been dragging my feet on setting up some sort of system for tracking my inventory, sales, fees, and expenses. I've been doing this for a few months now and I'm going to be in trouble come tax time. Are you aware of or have a video about this? I haven't reached a level that would justify paying a lot of money for software or a subscription. Again, I'm so glad I found your channel! Blessings!

Hi Sandra, thanks for posting such an informative video. Question for you...When you share your closet and select all, is it okay to have all your "Sold" items checked? Or should I go and uncheck them so they aren't shown and shared? I'm always so torn on what to do! Is there a way to get rid of all the items you sold in your closet, like put them in a folder or something like that?? Thanks!
