If you need rags, the collared dress always gives you 6 rags. This comes in clutch when you need to make a rope fast.

@@berdyderg900 That's because most players aren't particularly creative with the tools DayZ provides. Usually, when I have to make a fire in a house, a tripwire with a flash is my go-to. That way, if someone sees the chimney smoke and decides to surprise me and barge in, THEY will be the one surprised.

@@berdyderg900 I have, and they are better than no grenade when you need to breach but you better have a teammate to coordinate with or it's useless. If nothing else you can attach it to a tripwire as an early warning signal.

You don’t even need to put ammo in your hot bar, you can just hold R to reload magazines you are holding with ammo from your inventory.

yes, but if you want to use specific ammo like tracer, or 9x39 ap, you can use hotbar!

Nahhh some rifles like the scout have mags, if u want to reload the bullet in the chamber without emptying a round from the mag u can use the hotbar shorcut

If you’re on console, holding Y (and whatever the PS equivalent is) will reload as well. Double tap it to chamber rounds too.

Why would they tweak it? It’s been a known strategy for years and the effects of wet clothing are negatable depending of what you have. It’s just convenient and it only works when it’s not raining anyway…

Why tf do they need to fix something thats a quality of life improvement? Most people i know just run around with soaked clothes anyway. No one tries to dry them out anymore since they kept nerfing how long it takes and buffing how often the rain comes through. Why dry my clothes when i know im gonna be wet again in the next 15 minutes?

Another thing to add on tip 4, sometimes you only have one weapon and have a scope for it, keep the scope in your hot bar so you can quickly attach it when needed

For the drying clothes bit you dont need to take off your clothes just drop the torch where you stand and dont move. Everything will still dry without having to remove clothing

I've been playing the mod and standalone since 2015. and i can tell you with 100% certainty, the devs will not change that lol. we've only just got the og weapons put back into the game from 2016😂 i love the game so much but it's a boiling hot mess. it's a miracle we ever got a '1.0'

Great video as always. Keep up the great work. PS: a great spot for tactical elevation are the police stations like the one in Cherno. By the main front entrance there benches up against the wall that allow you to peek over those small windows and see down the whole street while only exposing your head

Haha this video is very good. As a 20k+ player I didnt know about the current speed while falling. Also its not just elevated positions, its about areas where you can cover most of your body while making sure enemy player is ambushed all the time. Player who is not facing you has to move mouse X times more to take aim. In Dayz you want to always have advantage over enemy players. In Namalsk this is even more prelevant, where making poeple die of cold or risk frostbite is legit strategy. I would like some video about recognizable camping spots etc, I think map knowledge is the most important aspect of this game once you get mechanics down.

If you find a metal wire, you can combine it with a short stick to make a snare trap. Putting fruit in the trap will give you a rabbit. After you cut the rabbit up, you’ll have 2 rabbit legs. One for you, one for your duo. Not only is it good luck, but it’s a flex to whoever kills you that you are a Dayz veteran 😎

I've never played DayZ on PC but on console I imagine trying to climb into weird spots is a good way to fall through the world or watch your rifle get unretreivanbly stuck to the ceiling.

You can easily test most of these yourself, the ninja slippers are the most quiet for example since you can just see the bars of sound you're generating

As someone who's only playing for a few weeks I would also love to know this. I thought I found the best shoes with the Hiking boots as the tooltip says they're water resistant but they get wet just the same as other shoes..

@@wowcarnage use the game's wiki to look up the max wetness of specific items if you really care. It's fairly intuitive, the dry bag backpack only ever gets damp at worst and items usually get 1 level less wet than their container so it's waterproof essentially

The lunge move was really good tip

Little correction on sun glasses: if u use the yellow ones in twilight times, so at sunset or dawn, it kind of increases your contrast - especially in forest or other unregular environment (towns e.a.). Its only practical for like 20 min on vanilla, but it helps without using Nvidia filters or else...

Elevated positions: the stairwell in the ATC tower has a lip on each floor you can use to get the drop on someone.

The lunge trick has been one of my closest guarded secrets, ive always feared the nerf that would follow should it become public knowledge. Curse you Wobo ❤

I’m very new but managed to ambush a fully geared dude with my little damaged 380 pistol.. now I’m so deep in the map.. like further than I ever imagined I’d make it with high powered guns and literally no clue what to do but find chickens etc to stay alive😂

It is crazy how my playstyles change when I watch DayZ tips videos or watch content creators - I think that if you combine this with like 1000 hours in game then your chances at being almost as good as players with much much more hours is pretty high. The most important tip though, is that whenever something goes wrong, remember to remind yourself: "well, it's just DayZ"... sometimes I tell then to myself even in irl situations.... "honey I am pregnant!" "well, that's just DayZ..."

Wobo can you test grenade explosion range vs tripwire grenade explosion range. I feel like there's definitely something that's changed recently. My grenade traps have a 0% kill rate since 1.25

The best tip you showed via clip without mentioning it is standing still randomly opening and closing the gate. Id happily do this for hours having randoms come up to me asking if I was ok.

1/2. already knew. figured this out bcz the amount of times me or my friends hav eblown themselves up with a grenade,jsut to see nothing was ruined lmao. tripwire works great. obviously the gun that shoots a shit ton of bullets is gunna ruin everything 3. already knew , its kinda dayz 101 4. already knew ,figured it out by accident, seems niche and doesn't matter too much, its not like i'm trying to save time, and if I'm in a firefight which is the only time i'm needing to do something in a rush, it's not going to be something like crafting or filling mages,combing,etc etc 5. why would I need to know where North is...its pretty easy to tell just by looking at the sun (if its evening, the sun is pointed west, if its morning, its towards the east) or I can look at a map 6. Didn't know about this but don't see how it will change how I play dayz, obv i'm not finna stand on top of a fireplace and take damage just to get warm lol 7. no one ever takes someone hostage now a days ,people unfortuantely just kos on sight , dumb but that's just how things are. and the silent pick or switching of weapons by dropping and picking it up is dayz 101, kinda don't like that mechanic. 8. If i have the time to use a range finder to see how far I will fall, I would just find a safer way down, not jump off a roof, and if I'm in a firefight/emergency, I'm not going to sit there to find out if its safe or not, i'm yoloing it bcz its an emergency, i can't take the time to see if I can make the jump or not by standing there with a range finder not changing the way I play unfortuantely. 9. that is legit fps gaming 101 ,you play aaaany fps game and elevation is obviously something always do in games. csgo,siege,cod,battlefield, etc people will always lay down,crouch, get on or under something (or in csgo's case, get on like a ramp or stairs or something to change elevation /give themself more cover by being lower/higher) 10. the tint isn't that bad, not going to make me choose one over the other, and even then the sun glare isn't that bad either, but you can just see this by playing the game you don't need someone on youtube to tell you Unfortunately, I knew a lot of these,some of them were like pretty easy things you can find in normal like 10 , 100, etc tips for beginners. and the parts that I didn't know are pretty niche and not important that they aren't going to change the way I play dayz ( Like the range finder to see how far you can drop and the heat aura of something projecting heat) I'm waiting for that contract to go through. 🗒🖊

I've noticed that hiking boots are more quieter against zombies in the game than any other boots. They only have 3 sound bar max when other boots have 4 bars when sprinting. 2 for hiking and 3 for others when jogging and crouch sprinting. 1 bar for hiking and 2 for others when crouch walking. Super effective to creep up real close to other players without getting heard.

Hovering over an item on your inventory and holding down the hotbar button to assign it instead of dragging it to the hotbar on the bottom of the screen will definitely be a life changer

I’ve been owning people with elevation lately, now that y made a video about it probably gonna have every other fight be elevated against me

Some of the glasses have a shader bug where they’re seen in front of things like fog in the distance; it can make you stick out real bad - so be weary of those.

The only tip I didn't know was the lunge walk but I'd never use it as it would be way too annoying and not worth the effort given I only play 1PP and I'd likely be throwing up after about 15 minutes... LoL As for the tip for finding North that's something any survivalist should know IRL. I used a similar technique to do an initial polar alignment on a telescope for the solar eclipse in April since magnetic north deviates from true north.

I never see anyone mention it but I swear that wearing a Pristine/worn headlamp will help protect your hat or helmet item when wolves attack, since they go for the head or face, in which case I think a hockey mask helps as well. Surely that reduces a bit of damage too. I've had several instances that I recall where my head lamp came out ruined or badly damaged after wolf attack.

On a PVE server, I got killed by another player who thought I was a zombie. ... It happens, the weird part is that when he shot me, he apparently hit either a grenade, a stick of dynamite I was carrying or a fuel canister for my stove. Long story short, the explosion was apparently epic. Oh and half my gear was ruined

Would love to try those, but you don´t find any loot anywas and get shot by something you can´t see the minute you enter any relevant place, so... yeah.

I've also come across as a zombie when I walked with a broken leg and a moto helmet on.

Hey, everyone, I'm new to DayZ and have been finding a lot of information from Wobo. However, there is one thing that I haven't gotten from Wobo or anyone else. I need game-flow info. Like priorities and the like. Been playing for a week now, and haven't found anything to help me get from town to town. Any strategy I come up with, (leaving town early, staying in town prolonged) I still end up dead due to the inability of loot. I understand I need clothes, a blade, and some sort of longe range weapon (and that dayz is a hard game); but how am I supposed to survive if I can't find these in my starting town and can't make it to the next? Bottom-line, I've resorted to logging in and out of the game in hopes that when I come back, things won't be as looted and I might get to move; but in the meantime, any pointers would be helpful. NOT TIPS!!! As they don't help me if I can't get beyond spawn. Thanks in advanced!
