10 Principles to Decolonization - MIRI Indigenous Governance Symposium

In March 2018, the McMaster Indigenous Research Institute and the Indigenous Studies Program (McMaster University) with the Ryerson Centre for Indigenous Governance hosted the first joint policy symposium on Indigenous Governance, Settler Aboriginal Policy in an Era of "Real Change".
The Symposium brought together Indigenous thought leaders from across Turtle Island to discuss and illuminate key policy and governance structures impacting Indigenous peoples in Canada and the United States.
This video is a recording of the first panel on the first day of the symposium. MC'ed by Shiri Pasternak (Ryerson Centre for Indigenous Governance), panelists Janice Makokis, Russ Diabo & Piers Kreps discuss Canada's current and past policy objectives regarding Indigenous peoples.
