After playing Forbidden West, I went back and played Zero Dawn after a long time not playing. I forgot I wasn't playing Forbidden West and don't have the Shield Wing and jumped off a high cliff and killed myself. 😂

I played Assassin’s Creed after HFW and jumped off a roof and died thinking the same 😂

There is actually one more memorial site, if you go to the cauldron where Varl died, you can find a nice little tribute where he died

Yeah you’re right. NG+ should carry over all your weapons, items, coils, skills, armors, weaves, etc.

He’s done such a great job at building a community around Horizon. It’s definitely one of the more positive gaming communities out there

I really think is prequel set during the faro plague is untapped potential. Like guerrilla games has already made kill zone games. It can be a first person shooter and we can see just how horribly devastating the swarm really was. Is it just me who wants this?

Bro i started on ultra hard (because i completed Zero Dawn like 5 times on ultra hard) and only for the golden spike launcher at the end i completed it with all purple and blue weapons. Not because i wanted to but just didn't want to do the grind at the moment. Loved this game, felt way more difficult on ultra hard because of the new machines and their attack patterns and off course the new game mechanics. Love to see what they do in the future, never played anything that felt more exiting to play than Horizon❤

Wow you started HFW on ultra hard?!? That’s tough. Even with legendary gear UH is pretty challenging. The combat in FW is such an upgrade over ZD. Just so flexible and customizable. I love it. You play the Burning Shores yet??

@Nezha-Ishibashi Incredibly satisfying to beat on ultra hard, though. Really makes you FEEL like a wild red head fighting against ultra advanced humans from 1000 years ago. My only gripe is that specter prime couldn't reattach the titty guns... I feel like with as advanced as the zenith were, it should've been able to do that...reload the gun...allow us to blast them off again... Would that make it a little more hell? Eh, dunno. I think it'd be a little easier. Heavy weapons are just really fun.

@@InfiniteSkiegh I know! But, strange as it sounds, I only use Ancestors return to defeat that thing (I think that's the weapon name). Like, other machine that have weapon, in the start of the game I always use their heavy weapons, but specter prime for me was just memorizing the attacks and patterns, and, ofc, a loooooot of suffer. Holy, u know the attack that she throws electric rockets? Like, making one circle around u, I never knew how to perfect dodge that. Some many death because of this f@cking attack lmao. The super beam was actually easy for me to dodge, but that attack... ugh

I like to explore off-map seeing how far I can go, which can be pretty far. Eg. An island near the Isle of Spires. Also, I was hunting on a beach off-map which was close to the Zenith base. I decided to try to swim across. I found that you can approach the island via a sandbar and can just wade ashore (no barrier)! So, I explored the Zenith base, including falling through the map. This was my second visit. The first was by the documented way using the sunwing.

Also don't forget that Horizon zero dawn has 6 unique machines that aren't in the forbidden west.

I just switched from a kinda jack of all trades build to a melee build (using a warrior bow, which I've never really tried out) and it's been super fun. That, and the new spectre gauntlet is so much fun.

Also, it's big on resonator blasts and grapple strikes. So much fun

To this I'd add flying through Vegas on a mount while one of the ornaments is active. Not a gameplay thing just something nice to do.

Speaking which, I was surprised none of the ornaments were for the 4th, it was set in America and you Americans are nuts about that holiday. Also I think it's a sign of a good game if people play it just to look around. Haven't done that since Brutal Legend. @@chazmatazzgames

Broooo literally what I’ve been wanting the wholee time to ride a stormbird!! Like come on biggest flying machine in the game (i think) looks epic and amazing and ahhh. I so hope for the next game there’s more options to attack other machines with your own mounts and having access to use your own mounts elemental attacks it would be crazy cool

You can also upgrade every weapon and outfit to the MAX (and buy every outfit and weapon).

I just keep replying the game over and over 1 and 2 I beat this game like 50 times I just can't stop playing this game sooooo fun

I’ve seen the Patrick memorial… but don’t have Ps5 so I don’t even get the Burning Shores DLC at all…

Aloy talking to Varl's ash is like Aloy talking to Rost's tomb in Zero Dawn where she tells him all the stuff happened to her...

I'm not surprised this guy found Zero Dawn still holds up well. Because it's WAY better than the mess we got with Forbidden West. Guerilla would do well to sit down and examine how many of the ideas they implemented in Forbidden West actually made it less fun to play. And good grief, the writing... I struggle to accept that it was written by the same folks behind the first game!

I wish you just had 1 bow to upgrade (that evolved as it was upgraded) Having 3 different bows with three different ammo each just seems silly to me… like why not just one bow with bunch of ammo compatibility? 😅 And the Bolt Launcher is a huge nerf… you can’t dive roll or sprint with the thing. Doesn’t stop me from using it, just kinda lame how nerfed some weapons are… I sold my sling and ropecaster

The weapons variety in HFW is 2nd only to Ghost of Tsushima. I really like the variety. I play with all purple weapons/attire. For my load outs, use acid and explosive weapons with harpoon canisters. I have to say I like HFW better than Elden Ring. A lot better. Only Ghost of Tsushima I Iiked better than HFW. My top six games to play over are: 1. GOT 2. HFW/HZD 3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt 4. TLOU 2/TLOU 1 5. RDR2 6. AC: Valhalla I thought HFW should have won GOTY. IMO.

Ghost of tsushima has a way easier to understand weapons system and skill tree personally and i wish the new horizon will understand that and be more easier to understand like got.

I just finished the game on normal, the final battle came down to one shot, I was out of potions and berries. If I missed that shot I would have been dead ..... I never used any traps or melee gauntlets, just sharpshot bows ...... Maybe next time I'll use only traps

it's the Nora Lookout, which can be bought in the Burning Shores, but I believe it was only available as a pre-order bonus. Not sure if that's changed yet and you can just buy it. It's not the best in terms of stats, but I really like the look of it

slowly seeing the hfw fandom die out is so sad :((( im happy tho that its just cuase the game is getting old :))))

it's inevitable for sure. new games come out and people lose interest in the "old" ones, but this game is so great it'll never die out for me 🫶

play new game on ultra hard not new game plus. I struggled at first because for ultra hard, you need atleast 30+ shards but you only get 3-10 per machine. you need 6 echoshell arrows to disassemble weapons sometimes even 9 even though all are hit.

game pretty linear, to do the biggest dip u just need freeze. by the 2nd play through there really not much in the game when u got all the legendary and max out all skill.

They’ve pretty much abandoned HFW by now. One disappointing DLC and that’s it. All the other projects are YEARS away and might never materialize.
