Yes. LOOKUP function is designed in such a way that it assumes values in the lookup_vector are arranged in Ascending order.

FIND function is case-sensitive and does not allow wildcard characters whereas SEARCH function is not case-sensitive and allows the wildcard characters "?", "*" and "~"

To my best knowledge you cannot undo that action. Better close the file without saving or save the file in some other name. The next time when you open the original file, you will find the deleted worksheet intact.
