The deaths in Crossed are even less memorable than the ones mentioned in the video. Not because they're tame, but rather that they're so graphic and over the top that your mind tends to block out the details for the sake of your own sanity.

Junji Ito have done worse tho. From reshaping a person through holes in cliffs, turning a teenage girl into a horrifying twigs, casting a molten copper into a tied victim, infections by ancient WW2 bio chem weapons, and.....being slapped by Amazon trees (yes, the tree's branch travels from Amazon to Japan just to slaps the characters to a bloody stains)

All he could say a Spiderman was saying thank you for ending his misery and avenging MJ and Ain't was good riddance. There entire team (referred to as the DJD) who specialize in horrific kills. Sunder turning you inside-out with his mind - Lost Light 48/49. Granted none of the victims actually died cos the process was reversed by the resident mad scientist before they perished but it's still horrifying. Oh and Sunder is *technically* one of the good guys! Although he had long gone insane and became a Jack The Ripper type killer until caught.

this is what scares me away from reading the comics, my childhood psyche isnt prepared to see my fave heroes die, let alone in such gruesome ways.

To be clear, Zombie Pete was killing every villain, so Sandman went to kill him, but killed that universe's regular Pete? Didn't Zombie Pete take this really hard? How'd he end up dying again?

In my 20 years of life, the glen scene (on tv) was the first one that made me sick.

Very few come close to The Sword by the Luna brothers when the MC succumbs to All her wounds from the entire run of the comic and she just falls apart. You have to have read the entire run to understand the tragedy of her death.

No Sentry ripping Ares in half? No Chapel blowing his own head off in a double-page spread? Nothing whatsoever from INVINCIBLE? Not even an HONORABLE MENTION section? You guys disappoint me. 😞

Those are basic

I know its technically manga, but for gruesome deaths, read the Battle Royale series and they are very gory and don't hold back on the detail either

That Walking Dead one reminds me a lot of the deaths in the Battle Royale manga. They'd often build up likeable characters and have them get brutally murdered over several pages by the villains.
