Small correction: The mothership emps only your aircraft, not your opponents. Also it affects vehicles too.

@@Vordikk this feature makes nothership even more useless than it is now (it's pretty useless in 1x1 right now), so I think it needs to be fixed so that it works for everyone

Come to think of it, Tripods EMPs buildings and vehicles at close range. If aircraft are EMP, they crash. Is it possible to time it such that the Tripod EMPs a drone platform as it is lifting off and if so, would it freeze in the air, or crash to the ground?

Been collecting all the cnc games. I have TW, KW, Gen, ZH, RA3. so your vids are nice to see that there are people still playing this game. I haven't tried messing around with mods since i dont wanna screw up any files but watching ur tournaments are still fun ^^ (trying to get RA 2, got cnc 4 TT but it seemed as though the application file was missing or smth i couldn't run it)
For lore enjoyers You can see the Philadelphia wreckage in the mission where you get to unlock the redeemer after you ge the whole map unlocked

@@navysealinguardiantank2679 ĺi forgot the name of the mission but it was the mission where you start constructing the redeemer for the first time and fighting Marv's for the first time After you unlock the entire map its immedailty on the right of your base bottom right of the map to be exact

Here’s something I learned in my campaign playthrough: the Armory can heal Nod and Scrin infantry as well as GDI. You can get a lot of value out of capturing one.
Here's a thing: ST railgun accelerator works on friendly zone troopers. So a tactic I used to do (vs gdi) was to engineer their orbital command and use drop pods to get 3 veteran squads and then railgun accelerate for insane dps.

The SAM turret vulnerability is thematically in line with the SAMs in C&C1 which took 2 ion cannon strikes to destroy, but if they were firing/exposed they took 1.
Veterancy crates apply in a small AoE. If you pack units close, you can get three promoted with a single crate (or more, if they're small enough). An aircraft directly above when the crate is picked up will also be promoted. Idk if this is well known, I'm not involved in the community.

I love these tricks vids! Here is one; most people dont know that the repair drones support power you can cast from the scrin vehicle factory heals infantry as well as vehicles, AND it will heal ALL factions vehicles and infantry. So if you have GDI and Scrin, you can cast the repair drones to heal your GDI commando or snipers out in the field! And the repair drones come out of a tiny invisible building so cast it BESIDE your units not on top of the units or the units will all be forced to move out of formation.

You can also use a war factory to heal aircraft, by using the manual repair ability of a war factory.

@@Thiccoman yeah I have no idea about the cover bonus. The building is tiny, footprint roughly the size of a watchtower or other small base defense. I doubt you would get the properties of a normal building like a power station or something. Try it in game and let us know what you find out. 👍
I think I know WHY the redemption awakened are different from the MOK awakened, in fact they're more different than they're supposed to be. In Kane's Wrath patch 1.01 the awakened was changed so that they move 11% faster than they did in 1.00 but in exchange they lost 25% of their HP. I can understand why EA made this change, they likely had a tendency to lag behind the other squishier infantry if you moved them together over a long distance, also they became better scouts for the early game. When EA was making patch 1.01 they forgot to change the redemption awakened accordingly thus Nod still has version 1.00's slower awakened troops as a result of this oversight. As for their HP difference, THAT part is an intentional difference and the reason they are two separate units (making a seperate mostly identical unit with the buff already applied is usually easier than having the ability create the unit and simultaniously slap them with an HP multiplier), the actual number however is potentially anachronistic. The 750 HP of the redemption awakened is exactly double the amount of HP that the MOK awakened had in 1.00 (they had 375 HP rather than 300 as in the current patch), the redemption awakened is technically supposed to have 600 health rather than 750. (edit: it's possible my math about the HP numbers could be wrong, EA's 1.01 patch notes failed to state what the old numbers were so i'm relying on math to figure out their old stats. It's possible that the awakened may in fact have had 400 HP in 1.00. I have no way of finding out for sure without an unpatched copy to dig into. I am 100% confident about the speed difference but i'm doubting my HP numbers at this point. )

Silo Glitch. When Silos are needed, have 4 or 5 construction places and build Tech centers with all of them. (Keep them in the ques). Once your silos are full again, sell the 5, and your maximum credit will rise accordingly and stay there. Even if you build something. Do this a couple of times and you will reach 100k with not even one silo present. This might be an old one...sorry then.

When you have an army you want to split up into groups you can quickly make unholy shapes to select portions
yet again great vid mate ! i for my part only knew about the Armory thing ! and i have to say there where many interesting facts here ! the Motherships EMP is the oddest as it does an EMP effect but doesn't down the aircrafts or rather drones which it should but its like a different version of EMP.

Nice video! Always glad to learn new facts about my favourite RTS. By the way, if you decide to do the 3rd part, another interesting fact: Mobile Repair Transport of Steel Talons can heal not only vehicles or building (including neutral), but and infantry too!

I have a weird hypothesis, so you know how mind control garrison units kill garrisons? In the campaign when marcion’s transport turns to your side in mission 3, the transport has a useless garrison slot, does the transport actually have a Marcion unit that dies when swapping over? Is that in the files?

Interesting theory
The harvesting thing applies to other games of the series as well - in Tiberian Sun, I tend to send my harvester to the middle of a Tib field, so that it doesn't have to move around as much.

For #10 you can actuall see the awakeneds are functionally different because the selection menu shows 2x1 awakeneds, instead of 1x2. If they were the same (functionally) they'd be grouped together, regardless of their health - but they arent.
Surprised you never brought up the globe from a destroyed hand of Nod can crush infantry

It's sometimes even intentionally exploited by nod players if they are being foxhole rushed by building a barracks up close to the foxhole facing the right direction such that it crushes the foxhole.
MRT can repair the mothership, walker wrack(when u recover the repaired wrack, it gain more HP than normal or more damaged wrack), commandos, engineers, hammerhead, all of structures including foxhole and bunker what ur infantry in.
I thought the harvesting the middle of the field is something everyone would do, so that the tib crystals can regrow faster, as compared to the edge, since the tib regrow hardly grow back to the original field size.

Does anyone know of a bad glitch, where when you use beam cannons and have them do assault mode and they will start and attack the first unit or building but will stop after that

no.6 Hammerheads AA cursor: can you combine this with the spaced-out formation trick using an AA Turret as the "formation" building? 2 birds one stone? :D
I think the GDI Firehawks *might* get away with destroying a mothership emp-free, just a hunch tho..
A solution for me if random game crashes appears, sometimes with the warning "exception in exception handler": - choose in your graphics driver your dedicatd graphics card - or deactivate the integrated graphics in the BIOS. AsRock for example: advanced mode => advanced => chipset => deactivate integrated graphics It worked for me after years of searching for a solution. System: Win 10 64, 4080, 13600k, 2x16 GB 32oo RAM

Wasn't it a thing that Scrin harvesters, when destroyed, had a chance to summon an Ion Storm? I know 100% I'm not confusing this with cnc4, I have a pretty vivid memory of this happening before KW even came out

In early tiberium wars patches they did but was deemed op, so it was removed later on.
so the mothership's EMP doesn't instantly destroys aircraft unlike the regular
I hate the fact that EA didn't even bother to inform players of some mechanics, like cover mechanics, or abilities like Nod CY one.

I think its because of the same bug that causes sonic emitters to double or even triple the damage vs stacked up units.
That hammerhead trick is exactly like mutalisk stacking in SC1
I was looking into some mods and got recommended to download CommandPost launcher and download mods from there. It got flagged as malware and trojan. I want to try your multilayer maps, and I don't know how.

@masterleafcnc thanks I will try it. I have rtx 2060 super, so it should be ok. I was a bit worried because I love older games and I got scammed with "mods" on old forums, diecord and so on. Got myself a few viruses last month because I was trying to find a patch for Gothic 1 and 2. People told me that CommandPost launcher is ok and it's just a false flag but I don't know who and what to trust.

Command Post is fine, but It's more convenient to get it this way. Command Post just runs these same installers, does nothing differently.
