Natural Born Killers was not based off Bonnie and Clyde. It was based off Charles Starkweather and Caril Fugate from Nebraska.

I'll add one more: Terminator 3 -- the protaganists, John Connor, Kate Brewster, and the T-800 spend the whole film trying to stop Skynet [NOT Skylab] machines from attaining consciousness. They fail, then race to a location that promises to be a place where the machines can be stopped. It only turns out to be a fallout shelter where John and Kate survive the machine-borne nuclear holocaust. There was actually no way to stop the machines from taking over after all.

I think that Primal Fear is an amazing movie and the ending twist is fantastic because it’s just so well acted by Edward Norton that you don’t see it coming and it still works on a rewatch even after you know the twist because once you know you start looking for clues to the twist throughout your next watch and at least for me I still don’t see it coming.

At the ending of Gone Girl his decision isn't so much 'for the good of the child' but to protect his own rehabilitated reputation. The whole time, his motivation is to protect his reputation, even going as far as to enlist public relations experts. Both characters aren't nice people, even though Amy's a straight up sociopath.

The Last Seduction is one of my favourite 90's movies. A black comedy where the villain manipulates everyone around her to get what she wants. It's the way it shows people's prejudices (racism/sexism/homophobia) are weaknesses for Bridget to exploit that makes this an extremely underrated classic.

Natural born killers would have been a much better movie had Oliver Stone not messed with Quentin’s screenplay. Mickey didn’t S A the girl in the hotel because he only had eyes for Mallory making their connection devotion more relatable and resonating. It would have played out more like True Romance

I agree. I despise that ending. Not just for the nihilism - even if you liked that kinda thing, which I don't - it was a trick that made everything a waste of time, but that violated what little "rules" it set for a limit on the demon's powers, that it had to go into a person. Now suddenly it could go into a cat. If it could go into a cat, it could go into any living thing and so there was never a limitation and so there's never a point to the story.

Blame the Hays Code for why audiences were brainwashed to think evil always loses. In reality, evil tends to win. The closest the Hays Code would allow was Mr. Potter who's scheme may have been thwarted but he still stays rich and powerful.
