I'm kinda with you. Maybe it was a bad display of the gameplay, but he really did just spin boxes for 5 minutes and then still lost.

It does get boring quick. no matter what character you pick. I'm playing closed beta. It's not engaging enough.

As a die hard Crash fan, you're not wrong. If they wanted a spin off, they could have done a party game like Crash Bash with more mini games and enhance the ones that already existed. Huge missed opportunity so we instead have... whatever this is.

a remastered is coming in the Deluxe edition for Rumble. it's very thinly remastered tho. as in not a ground up remake.

This is such a "I'll give it a try if it's on Game Pass" game. Slide around and collect fruit, is that it? That's all there is to it? This seems like the gamemode nobody would play from Crash Multiplayer.

Crash is more focused on just collecting the fruits, other characters like Dingodile are more focused on fighting enemy players.

That first game ending felt toxic. They don't fight each other until the very end, but when it's neck and neck, you just see the enemy players spawn in oxide on your base and camp there until they win. That's frustrating to watch.

Looks like a mini-game you either love and gets its own spin-off or one you wish you could skip. Have to play to really find out

This games just looks like DLC for Crash Bandicoot 4. It wouldn't surprise me at all if that's what is was originally going to be.

if this is the only game mode, my excitement for this game just crashed to practically 0. Doesn't look bad, but doesn't look fun enough or non-repetitive enough to be a game I'd wanna play regularly if this is it

This would’ve been fine as a multiplayer mode that came attached to crash four, like it originally was going to be. But it looks super dull as a standalone game.
I'd like to believe that the movement is actually more complex but shoot dude uhhh....

Looks fun but fleeting. It would probably make a great couch multiplayer game but I'm assuming it's online only. It'd be a bit interesting if there was a more direct combat mode where the fruit acted as ammo for projectiles and score at the same time. Like how Ooga Booga on the Dreamcast worked.
I'd be surprised if this doesn't flop tbh

Nah it's not a moba. Similar but there's a lot more to it. Platforming, blocking, wumpa boosts, etc. It doesn't fall into any genre tbh

It's clear that this was supposed to be a DLC for Crash 4, I mean, there's only one thing to do and the maps are really small, hell even those brawling minigames on Crash Bash that you would throw crates at each other were more fun that this. Rumble is like a secondary game mode made standalone. Not worth $30.
This will be a free Ps plus game by end of the year..
