Wolfsburg plate was a custom badge I made for the car, just had a local trophy shop print it on a thin aluminium plate for about $10. Doesn't cover anything on the car, just stuck straight to the dash 👍

Hello, will a MIB 2 work OOB with a 2006 B6?

Does this work on 2012 Passat cc 2.0 L?

I'm looking at getting a 2012 VW Passat B7, the radio in this one doesn't have the screen but it has bluetooth aux and DAB radio, would this particular headunit fit as a plug and play or am I looking at additional wiring looms being needed.

It should be plug and play but always best to contact the company selling it so it’s on them if it doesn’t 👍

Thanks for the video! Quick question, is it also possible to connect reverse camera and reverse sensors to work on the new headunit too? Or are those lost?

Sensors work like factory with original graphics, reverse camera can be connected. Unit assumes camera by default so no setup required

I bought one of those , its work perfec but if your car have orginal revers camera it will not working on this product . it means u have to buy a new revers camera for this product .

@@OEMStez Do you happen to know where you can order these? The link in the description on longer works, I have a 2014 Passat B7 so im not sure which to get that will also work with the OEM reverse camera too.

Do you see climatronic on display or not? And is there differents in sound quality? Is it worth switching from rns510 to this?

Not sure about rns510, sound quality possibly a bit better and no climatronic

Doesn't support Dynaudio/Fender and no OEM camera

Cheers for the video mate! Can I please ask, does your Passat have the badge reversing camera? I have a TDi B7 Highline with the badge camera, and my current display shows the moving lines when reversing (trajectory lines I think they call them). I've heard these units are not compatible with those cameras? Desperately wanting to upgrade to CarPlay but losing the reversing camera would be a deal breaker.

Mine doesn’t have a camera and every time I go into reverse the unit tells me my camera is inoperative, so believe it’s set up to work with the factory camera - should work fine for you

You could test all wires with a multimeter with the car off to see if there’s any voltage through them

@@pinch-of-salt I don't have this car anymore sorry mate, I wouldn't really worry about battery drain - if your car is one of the year models affected you can buy a wiring adapter that goes between the factory harness and the stereo to stop it from happening

I've read something about needing an extra bit of wiring to prevent battery drain on older models, but you'll have to check specifically 👍

@@zulualpha4603 I have read you need a CANBUS module on pre-2009 cars, you should be ok but I'd double check

@@OEMStez get a CANBUS module ending with N and that will solve it. No need to go for Q
