Janela vs Kiss was outstanding. Love Janela's new look. He's leaned out and if he is embracing the hardcore side a little more he can go the distance. I could see Raven esq gimmick storylines being awesome for him with a shopping cart of weapons. Hope AEW keeps him around!

Was thoroghly impressed by the final match, Janela is good but I really like Kiss' athleticism. While there seems to be mixed feelings about them moving up to TV times, this match seemed waaaaay above the level you'd expect to see free on youtube, if this was part of an AEW PPV I wouldn't have been dissapointed. Hope either or both get booked more, I'm into it 👏

Sonny is wonderful. One of AEW's best. I was sad because he was defeated, but without a doubt he shone tonight.

Absolutely outstanding match between Janela and Kiss! It’s amazing to see their rivalry culminate in a fight of this caliber on Dark. Hoping for even bigger things from both of them in the future!

That Janela vs Kiss Match was awesome, but it's kind of stupid to have the young talent in Squash matches (mainly Anna Jay & Skye Blue). They should be using these matches to give them more in ring time to build experience, a minute long squash match doesn't help them at all.

Yeah that’s a fair comment 👍, Dark sometimes should be used to help give someone like Anna more ring time (considering she was out for a while injured), especially if she has more moves etc she wants to try out, and build up her move set. It’s certainly not a knock on her, or other wrestlers of similar ability and experience.

Yesss that's exactly what I've been saying, let the outside talent Showcase what they can do and give us a reason get invested in them. They should not be used a squash talent unless it's to tell a story, Anna Jay doesn't benefit in anyway by being in a squash. If you want her to get better give her more time to show and get an experience as well as the outside talent make it a fair fight.

When Excalibur corrected Taz about Koalas being marsupials, he missed a perfect opportunity for, "But that's neither here nor bear."

This great match between Kiss v Janela should have been on TV!! This feud has been delivering for months with great character development, and it's sad that some of the wrestlers who came to the dance with AEW aren't featured on TV anymore. The least AEW could do is have one week on, one week off with the new people and let originals we came to love have some TV time too! Why do we have to see X wrestlers on both Dynamite and Rampage every week only incrementally updating a feud (or not at all)? I love AEW's work; I've always been here, but AEW has been ticking me off for a long time now because of this. Put some respect on Kiss and Janela (and others) and let them shine on TV too! Or at least have them on Dark Elevation where new crowds can get to know them! Or do you not trust the audiences? If not, that's something you should address (it's something you should anyway).

I don’t really care who wins or loses the matches so much as the quality of the match itself. One of the biggest problems with todays matches (and particularly AEW) are the referees. Matches should be called for outside interference and foreign objects. I’d suggest arming the referees with taser guns and pursuing a storyline that resets the markers to something that will further improve the matches themselves.

@@easter_sunday The refs generally aren't allowing outside interference like that though. That type of stuff is still being done behind the ref's back for the most part I think. What you do see is the refs allowing too much double (and triple) teams in tag matches.

Normally I’d say sure but the opening matches proved otherwise. I have yet to see a single DQ over outside interference or a foreign object in an AEW dark match

Joey Janela is a great Hardcore performer! He should be seen more on Dynamite, this guy really deserves more attention!!

Yeah, like that Toa vs Butcher match. Like okay, Butcher is a bad guy and used brass knuckles to win a match that barely had any wrestling in it. It wasn't even a squash match to make Butcher seem threatening. I'd say it makes him look weaker. Can't even win a match against a rookie without cheating. It doesn't make Toa look good cause we barely saw what he could do. It was a waste of talent.

This is quite a card! Greene vs Nese, Allie vs Kilynn King, Wingmen vs Best Friends, Skye Blue vs Ashley De'Ambroise, Wardlow, and the no rules main event and so much more! Let's go!

Sonny vs Joey is a great match. Remember when one of the most entertaining stories on Dark was just Cutler vs Avalon 3? Add this one to that list now. Toa looks like a beast. I do think he could be in Team Taz, or just be a monster in singles competition!

Boulder has that old school in-ring presence, he's just massive and Vince would love him. Still green though, but looks promising, hope he keeps training.

Sonny and Janela + Rossi have been some of the best matches on Dark ever. I know I’m not alone when I say I want these two to feud forever and also get on Dynamite + Rampage.

Funny enough Tazz & Excalibur's comparison was spot on. The saying when it pertains to bears is "If it's Black Fight Back, if it's Brown Lay Down, & If it's White prepare to die". Bronson being the Black Bear makes sense since wrestlers usually fight him off or beat him. While Boulder can lay people out.

Joey Janela vs Sunny Kiss was a Epic Brutal Match, the way I love it, thank you AEW.

Sonny is incredible, and I love hearing the crowds cheer for her!

Taz continues to be the best part of Dark.

Anthony Greene and the Wingmen are fun to watch mainstays on Elevation and Dark. Good match from Janela and Sonny Kiss. Feels like forever since last I saw either of them competing.

A rare "no jobber" card?? Although I like how the AEW has brought back the jobber system in how they aren't really "jobbers" so much as just "new wrestlers who don't have wins yet", and they're still able to get in a considerable amount of offense and showcase their stuff against the stars.

I think it's the same general height and build, but Nese made me think of "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff. Similar vibe as well... smug, but not a "chicken-s#!t Heel" He can actually back-up whatever he says. I dig him. I liked Mr. Greene as well. I've heard of him, but this was the first time I've seen him. He needs a little fattening up but, I like his style, he's got heart and fire, like he doesn't realize that he's not a big Dude by any stretch. Or if he does, he don't care. That match felt like a Mid-Atlantic match. Awesome!

Cannot believe AEW just gives away that main event for free on KZread. It's better than some no DQ matches I've seen on Ppv's!!!! Also an acclaimed match (one of my favourite tag teams) while taz tries to name as many types of bear as he can is the match I never knew I needed 😂

10 matches on tonight's Dark episode, some of them are a must-see. IMO, those must-see matches are: Bear Country vs The Acclaimed, Sonny vs Joey (No DQ), Kilynn King vs The Bunny (Round 2), Cassidy and Yuta vs The Wingmen and Anthony Greene vs Tony Nese. This is gonna be awesome.

Unfortunately, I could see both Janela and Sonny leaving, which I would hate. I really like them both, but Tony Khan is too busy with his new wrestlers to give these wrestlers the TV exposure they deserve. It's really making me mad. I've not heard that either man has done something wrong, so I don't understand why they're not getting the profile they did.

This ep was amazing. Best Dark in a while. Absolute banger matches. This is what, imo, Dark should be. Not just squash matches but also matches for pro wrestling sake. Bear Country vs Acclaimed...banger! Nese vs Greene...banger! Kiss vs Janela....absolute banger! Everyone in this episode was solid af.

What a match by Joey Janela. That sideways jumping piledriver was pretty nuts.

Think of how deep the roster is that this is the main event of DARK.

I like the idea that Dark is getting the same treatment as the TV programs. I think maybe a "KZread" Championship would help for AEW! They are getting more talent almost monthly.

Toa Liona is an awesome prospect for AEW. The guy is a monster with great intensity.

Worst match on this card was the Blade vs. Toa. Toa seems like a great talent and I hope to see more of him, but the fact that the Bunny interfered on 3 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, in CLEAR VIEW of Remsburg, and nothing happened made me irate. Either have continuity and have her ejected or don’t

AEW for the love of the Elite please do something more with Toa Liona! The man looks like he eats whole Great White sharks for a snack!

Joey vs Sonny is by far one of best matches that I have seen all year long. Definitely better than any Kenny Omega matches. Joey is amazing.

When I first started watching AEW, I didn't know what to think about Janella or Kiss. But glad to see Kiss has progressed more than someone acrobatic. Punches look better, moves looked good and looked tough. Whole time I was thinking too bad Velveteen dream got caught up. He would be a good tag partner and help with Kiss character development. Kiss should take notes from Dream and Goldust early WWF run.

While I do agree with your point about Sonny's improvement. I think Sonny has done exactly what Sonny needed to do to develop. Sonny is still Sonny but with intensity. And, honestly, having Sonny takes notes from a guy who only pretended to be what Sonny is in order to be edgy is kind of backwards. I know Sonny said that he watched Goldust, but that character was never meant to be serious and was a riff on people like Sonny and exploited how it made insecure audiences (and wrestlers) uncomfortable.

@@LadyAstarionAncunin while your take on Goldust is pretty accurate. I would still say Sunny should take notes from Goldust and Velveteen. Reason being you assume and maybe I'm wrong for this assumption . That by me saying that you think I mean he should ACT like Goldust with the fondling of his opponents, no simply goldust was able to cut promos insinuate things but throw his opponents off yet could go in the ring. Sunny needs to incorporate that, let Sunny be sunny but in the ring be a bad ass. Dream also I wouldn't say was imitatating what Sunny actually is. Rather IMO Dream was a combination of an Adrian Adonis, meets Early 90s heel run Sean Michaels, meets Macho man Meets Goldust. Sunny should have that presentation like how Goldust and Dream did, maybe I should have made that clearer. You see two ultra flamboyant stars cocky arrogant, people questioned their sexuality, yet BOTH took care of business in the ring. And had a mean streak.

I know Janela and Penelope broke up but I wish they were together as an on screen duo still. Janela needs her badly.

The Wingmen are due for a face turn, they're likeable enough and quite funny

Finally a show with my favorites The Acclaimed and The Wingmen.

Sonny Kiss vs Janela has joined the ranks of legendary match from AEW DARK along with Peter Avalon vs Cutler.

I’ve been wondering where Joey was at, good to see him back.

Why AEW not put Joey Janela in Dynamite? I love to see him back in a main event match.

I think the main event scene is pretty stacked at the moment. But Joey and Sonny did great work here.

Cezar Bononi is crazy strong, he's been doing them dead lift holds and throws since his first match in AEW. Also, Janela and Sonny killed it in that no DQ match. Love seeing this stuff on Dark and Elevation. We are definitely gonna need a new title for these shows some day soon.

I really hope joey and sonny will be back at dynamite and rampage really love them 👍👍👍 Please more fight for many talent in roster in tv like joey janella and sonny, i miss th2 too scu full member for trio belt.

We need more Fuego in our lives on AEW , At least Dose Fuego's

Wow what a main event! Congratulations to everyone involved - loved this story! If you told me when AEW started Sonny Kiss would do a No DQ match and take that wicked of a piledriver I wouldn't have believed you. I'm so happy for how much Sonny has grown and always impressed by just how amazing Janela is. The man is a savant. From classics with Omega to having an engaging but super safe No DQ and long term story with Sonny. Just a master Janela is.
