FTR vs THE BRISCOES: Greatest Trilogy Ever - Complete Rivalry Documentary

In 2022, Mark & Jay Briscoe faced Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler in an acclaimed series of tag team matches, under the Ring of Honor banner, which are widely considered to be the greatest tag team matches of all time.
At Supercard of Honor in 2022, FTR vs THE BRISCOES set the wrestling world alight with a combination of drama and phenomenal professional wrestling, with the coveted prize being pride and the Ring of Honor tag team championships.
A few months later, FTR doubled down on their claims of being better than The Briscoes and challenged them to a 2 Out of Three Falls match at Death Before Dishonor. Once again, setting the wrestling world alight.
The final match in this series was last chance saloon for The Briscoes, as they challenged FTR to a Dog Collar match at Final Battle 2022, with very little notice. This match was something we've never seen on a national stage before and is one of the highest rated matches of all time.
All three of these matches are highly regarded and acclaimed - and rightfully so - and will forever be a historic legacy left behind by all four men that will likely never be replicated to this level again.
NOTE FROM EDITOR: GAFF
Editing this was special to me as these matches hold a special place in my heart. With the passing of Jay Briscoe in January, it only felt right to showcase his incredible promo ability and phenomenal work ethic & talent, and not focus on his passing whatsoever, out of respect for the body of work that he left behind.
Sourcing all of the content to form a coherent story was difficult as this feud spans almost 18 months and the majority of it on social media, but I'm proud to share this today as this is the most comprehensive documentation of one of the most historic rivalries in history.

Jay screaming and legitimately looking like he's about to murder someone, Mark in the background just munching on whatever he's eating and adding his occasional quips.... this is pro wrestling comfort food. Oh, I guess the matches were pretty good too. RIP Jay. It still eats at me that the man never really had a global spotlight, he was truly one of the best.

I was at the final match. That dog collar match was by far one of the most entertaining matches I have ever had the pleasure of watching. I took my dad and we were both in awe. We couldn't keep track of all the action. The biggest tragedy is that Jay is no longer here for us to have a continuation of this epic rivalry. This has the potential for all time great tag rivalries, even with the short timespan it occurred.

If that’s not star quality material, you should have your head checked… Rest between the ropes at peace Jay. We miss you here.

I was watching AEW throughout 2022, but when I heard ROH was heading to Texas, I knew I couldn't pass it up since it was birthday and what better than to enjoy live on person. I remember arriving to the College Park Center being hyped to see Chris Jericho, Claudio Castanogli, Samoa Joe, Daniel Garcia, Wheeler Yuta, FTR, and The Briscoes. The matches at Final Battle were incredible but FTR vs Briscoes is the one that holds a special place in my heart since I was 3 rows from the ring and I saw them fight throughout the ring inside and outside. It was a blast since it represented the very best of ROH and AEW/NXT. Rest in Peace Jay Briscoes and Reach for the Sky because FTR and Briscoes are Top Guys and Dem Boyz 4 Life.

First of all the Briscoe Brothers matches are LEGENDARY!! But also what is so incredible about these men is their LOYALTY to Ring of Honor! They could have left, maybe got a bigger payday? Bigger crowds? But they chose to stay with the company that gave them their biggest shot, and to me their dedication and again loyalty is without a doubt one of the most rare and special things that separate the Briscoe Brothers with so many other Tag-Teams, or wrestlers period. I have gotten a respect for them and they have become one of my all-time favorite Tag-Teams in wrestling! Add to that they are incredibly talented and can really kick all sorts of *sses! I only wish I could have found them a lot sooner. What's sad, or sad for Jay is many wrestling fans became fans after the news of his death. Fans began searching his matches. Learning about the Briscoe Brothers, but it took his death for some to find them, but their talents were incredible that they should have been main eventing a lot sooner! RIP Jay, your work will never ever be forgotten. Legends like Jay are a rare occurrence so ANYTIME that I can get to watch a Briscoe Brothers match! I TAKE IT! THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS WITH US! 🙏 ❤ These guys ARE awesome in every way!

Hell yeah !!! Dude ....I love you ! Haha! But seriously , I was having a shitty night until this popped up . These two teams are by far the best of the last 20 years easily to me . If not all time contenders . Jays death hit me WAY harder than I could have imagined . It was so unexpected . I always tear up or cry when a wrestler dies thats been a staple of my life for so long , but Jay ? It hit me differently . I was tore up for a week !

I felt like the urgency to see this video and I could end it just a few hours before Final Battle and damn, it's a pure roller coaster of emotions. I don’t know how many times I cried...and how many times have I laughed watching Briscoes' promos withJay was so focused and Mark eating is my spirit guide LOL These two tag teams are magic, passion, entertainment, you see they breathe wrestling and the only thing I can say is how grateful I am to have seen these battles. FTR are one of my all times favorite tag teams. And we miss Jay so much.

These 3 matches and the promos are textbook ways to build a feud and keep people interested. And in my opinion everyone benefited from this program. Until the tragic day when Jay got taken from this world.

It's that tense bass driven tone under the match that takes it to another level. This is fkn cinema

I only ever heard the legend of the Briscoe's. Now I'm learning why they're legendary. I'm thinking they might be the coolest tag team I've ever seen. I'm glad all this footage is available. R.I.P. Jay Briscoe. #DEMBOYS 💪😎👍

When Jay said something, his eyes made you believe it. Who else could do that with their eyes alone? Austin? Maybe?

Heel Kurt Angle maybe. But that could be because he has the credentials to back it

That third match was a work of art painted in blood. I'm not normally a fan of this level of violence, but this one felt like it earned the crimson on the mat. This was a bitter feud that could only end one way: with everyone involved losing a piece of themselves in that ring. And it's 100% on the list of matches you must watch before you die.

It should considered a crime that AEW didn’t have the briscoes on their programming when every ROh guy under the sun ended up on it

I think Turner Broadcasting is more to blame than AEW. Apparently it's because of something Jay said on Twitter years ago. I'm sure Tony wanted nothing more than to pick up the Briscoes. What would've been, man.

Warnermedia didn't want the Briscoes on AEW. Tony Khan wanted them in AEW!
