Same here... I am planning to upgrade from a diesel car but feeling like instead of upgrade n pay emi spend on diesel itself n be mind free on long drives 😅 one full tank usually I cover around 700+kms still left with 50+km range. Around 40ltr a full tank.

There are few more things we should consider while calculating costs of travelling in an EV: 1. Pit stops to charge usually have western fast food outlets costing more compared to our desi dhabas 2. Frequent pit stops needs to be taken almost every 150 kms compared to may be half in ICE cars. 3. Finding hotels with EV charging will definitely comes at a premiuim compared to the ones not having that.

biggest problem is price diffrence between Ev & petrol car. it will take so much time to recover the cost which we paid in advance. only after that we can think about savings.

@@DDSravi ravi bhai, but in entry level people opt cng which also cheaper than ev, no range anxiety, plus we can drive on both fules if needed. so main issue cost.

​@@gauravkataria4318cng is not cheaper than EV. CNG cost approx 3.5 rs per km, whereas EV costs around 1.25-1.5 rs per Km. So it's economical.

​@@gauravkataria4318Entry level EV and CNG price difference is just 50k as there is subsidy available in various states. Also, entry level EV is automatic while CNG is manual. EV is fun to drive due to smooth and great pickup while cng feels laggy. For CNG, one has to wait in big lines to get it filled while EV can be charged overnight at home itself. Only point is range. EV is a no brainer for city commuting but for larger distances, one needs to plan the journey keeping in mind the charger availability. So, in my opinion currently it's a best secondary vehicle if you already have one petrol/diesel for long journeys.

Cng is also economic drive fuel ...usually 2.5 to 3 km aometime below 2 rs per km and no tension for finding cng in gujarati also Adani is planning in 7 cities Adani gas franchise

I think it's not ideal to calculate charging cost of EV unless its a rented car. Hope battery cost will come down in coming years which will be ideal for EVs.

Tab tak battery technology hi change ho jayegi and yeh cars outdated ho jayengi with negligible resale value..btw3 saal baad charge holding capacity n idle draining issue major honge like yr 3 year old lithium ion battery operated phones.. Don't let ego override common sense and experience! Current gen EVs r a stupid decision, though in longer run, EV is the only solution

Delhi to Nainital distance is 315 Kms... their Expenses on EV charge for one way is ₹ 820(this not included EV charge at home, say it ₹ 130) ...If petrol car give mileage 20 km/ltr... total petrol expense of ₹ 1600 saving is only (1600-820-130=650)

Bhaiya petrol gaadi mein 600 km k liye 3500 se 4500 ka petrol lagta hai.. Jabki electric gaadi mein 700 800 ki electricity.. Pagal wagal hai kya bhai tu.. Koi comparison hai?

Ev is actually good for day to day city usage no need to charge it from station no need to charge daily no need to worry about range no need to stay in lines like cng+ you’ll get an automatic vehicle the same model will cost around 2 lakh extra than petrol automatic which is easier to recover. Specially cities like Delhi ncr/ Bangalore/Mumbai where petrol cars hardly give mileage of 14-15. Also if you are chilling out with your friend it’s lot lot lot cheaper to keep car in idle condition with air conditioner music system on. So yes ev is a good option nowadays and a must buy secondary vehicle if you have a SUV car which hardly give any mileage. Ev for regular usage and primary car for trips and special occasions.

I use this car for office commute and the torque is just amazing on sports mode. It literally throws you back on the seat when it accelerates. Costs a rupee for a km.

@@manuit007 not everyone likes to cruise at 80-90 especially when the car is capable of going at more speeds. I frequently go to Yamuna expressway and hardly see any SUV going less than 100
