I hang all of my screwdrivers and commonly used bits on a large magnet. That way most of my hardware sticks to them.

To magnetise a screwdriver tightly wrap a coil of wire around the metal shaft and briefly touch both end of the wire on a 12v car battery a couple of times, depending on how stong you want the screwdriver to magnetise. Obvioulsy do it fast so as not to weld the wire to the battery terminals. Mechanics trick in a pinch 👌

You can also just slide a refrigerator magnet down the shaft of a screwdriver about ten times to magnetize it.

#10 Never would have thought of using dental floss for getting glue into a crack. The only ones of these I knew about were #5 and #4. I have done both of those. #2 The spray booth elevators were really clever and cheap.

He divided the wood into 2,3 and 4 equal sections without having to do any real maths. Just find a suitable multiple, hold the ruler at an angle where the zero is on one side of the wood and the upper multiple on the other side and then put a mark on each multiple. Example : the wood is 5" wide and you want to divide it in 6 pieces. Place the zero on one edge of the wood and the 6" mark on the other side, then mark off each inch. Of course, units don't matter, so works in inch, feet, cm, metres, etc
