Lmao! I love the part "hey, Mercedes, what do you think of Audi?" 🤣
Really appreciate the tip about the passenger mirror dip feature. Here a security tip I discovered for models with comfort access (personally have an E450, MY 2022): To avoid criminals copying the signal from your keyfob while in your house or nearby: Press and hold 'Lock' and immediately (very quickly) afterwards double press 'Open', and you have both locked the car AND deactivated the comfort access feature. This is indicated in the info display by a double blink from the turning indicators.
Thank, Nick. I always learn something new on every video! Happy Easter to you! 🐰

Hi Nick, Happy Easter! 😃 - I'll go to the car in a moment and see if I have any chocolate eggs hidden behind the gas cap. 😅 - Great video with fun details (Easter eggs everywhere - even when parking in the side mirror). - BTW, here in Germany it is even recommended to have the rescue card printed out in the car. It should be stored behind the passenger sun visor. - Best regards, Sven

Hey Nick . . . Love your videos.. thank you for your help on so many issues. I was on a trip last week and discovered "STOP AND GO ASSIST". Have you discussed that before? I would love to hear your explanation of the feature.
@npoleary
2 жыл бұрын
Hey Gary, yes I think I briefly mentioned it in my Driving Assistance Package video although Stop and Go Assist does vary slightly from model to model. It just allows the car to remain ready to drive forward for a short time if the traffic moves. But if you’re there for a while then it’ll remain there until you press the accelerator
I have learned so much from these videos.

Love your videos always finding new tips and tricks… one thing I would have found useful and my local dealers sale team didn’t know and I could find on here was with the 2021 GLE boot seats there is a little trick to flattening them they are spring loaded so you have to pull back and then release the catch… i spent many an hour struggling until a tech guys in the garage took a look!
@npoleary
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks James! 🤓🙏 Ah yes the release is the plastic part at the top left/top right. Is that the bit you meant? To flatten the seats?
@fpl_higgo8844
2 жыл бұрын
@@npoleary yeah although if you just pull that nothing happens in fact it feels like the plastic release will snap and when it’s a new vehicle 💩😆 however if you pull the seat back firmly and release at the same time it works 🥳 but nowhere could I find this and even when I did find a video it said nothing about that and as I say a number of the chaps in the dealership didn’t know this trick just told me to go to KZread (even the online manual doesn’t say)

@nick O'Leary, you can roll all your windows down from the key remote. Just click the unlock, release then press and hold down your unlocked for a few seconds and the windows will go down. The same if you want to close them too. But it would be the lock button.
@npoleary

You can on some models, most of the new ones you can 🤓👍🏼
Niceee!!
Bonnet arms extending for more access 👍 every day is a school day.
The emotion start works best when the engine is already warmed up. so if you remote start the engine, allow it to warm up - when you get to open the car door to jump in, the engine turns itself off. now hold the paddle, start your engine, listen to the pops and bangs, and don't forget to give it a few revs to listen to more pops and bangs before the exhaust flaps close.
Eggs cellent 😂

Love your videos Nick. I'm a Brit in the US with a GLC. The seat always seems to fail on the Easy Entry/Exit. Forums full of other MB drivers with the same issue. Do you know of any tricks or updates that fix this?? Local dealer haven't resolved it.
@npoleary
2 жыл бұрын
Hey ChrisUKvids, sadly no I haven’t heard of this before however I know that it only works in certain seat positions. For example it doesn’t work for me as I’m quite tall, the seat won’t go back any further. It’s mainly aimed at smaller drivers, it’ll move the seat further back to help them get out.
Good video, those of us who have new C-Class with MBUX 2 would love to see tricks and tips. Greetings.

Hey Fran MG, thank you! Got that on my list, I’ll cover it soon!
Watching your videos while waiting for the the delivery of my CLA 250e (hopefully end of may, ordered it July 2021). Learning so much the dealer won’t have to tell me much during the handover! Ps halfway the video a repetitive ticking sound appears that stays. Can’t say if it’s music but it’s a bit disturbing
@npoleary
2 жыл бұрын
Hey Marco, thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video! Ooo hopefully you won’t have to wait long! Yes it’ll be the background music, since my very first videos from feedback, I’ve turned it right down so it’s very low.
Another good video Nick. Interesting since a downloaded Apple Car Play (at great cost not free 2018 A class) Hey Mercedes won’t call anyone. I have to hold up speak button for Siri to do it. I guess Apple Car Play auto starts I’ll have to check settings. Happy Easter.
@npoleary
2 жыл бұрын
Hey Stuart, thank you! Yes that’s right, Hey Mercedes is an MBUX feature so if you’re using Apple CarPlay you’ll need to use Siri 🤓 Technically it is possible to use Hey Mercedes but it’ll be a bit limited while Apple CarPlay is running.
Thanks Nick. Great video. One problem I’ve found is my boot (AMG A200 saloon) keeps opening when the keys are in my pocket. Is there a way of disabling the boot open function? Thanks.
@npoleary
Жыл бұрын
Hey Slipply Slayer, sadly not no. I’ve had that happen before but I did have a lot of keys in my pocket and I’m guessing one of the buttons was accidentally pressed.
Hey Nick, is it possible for you to have one video about - Must have accessories in the car (e.g. entertainment, safety, applications, cleaning items, fragrances etc/ ) ? I mean I sure you must be having an opinion about few particular things which your car does have.... I would like to know what u think about accessories... never saw any video from you sort of that?

You can send destinations from the Mercedes me app to the car 🤓 Tip and Trick number 3 from this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/jIaDtpZ7nKjUn6Q.html
Hi Nick, very useful video again. My wish is that you make a short video explaining the body air suspension feature, along with its dedicated button located on the side between the driver and the passenger (close to the seatbelt extension button), which is supposed to higher the car (or lower it ?). My new E200 coupé has this feature but I didn't fully understand the dealer's explanation how to use it (or if you find this topic is not worth for a dedicated video, I'd be thankful if you could write a few explanation lines about this feature, it would help me a lot). Thanks and cheers, Kim
@npoleary
Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I wasn’t planning on making a video for it because it’s extremely rare on Mercedes in the UK. Most cars here have standard non adjustable suspension but then selected models like SUV’s or higher end models do have adjustable suspension. However it’s quite easy how it works, depending on the spec of your E200 Coupe, most commonly DYNAMIC SELECT is the thing that changes it and you can confirm this, when you change it, have a look at the top of the screen and you can see what it changes. If it has a picture of a spring when you change it (Comfort, Sport & Sport+) then it’ll do this: Comfort: The suspension setting is comfortable The vehicle is set to the normal level When driving at speeds of approximately 125 km/h or above, the vehicle is lowered. When driving at speeds below approximately 80 km/h, the vehicle is raised again Eco: The suspension setting is comfortable The vehicle is set to low level -1 The vehicle is not lowered any further if you are travelling at higher speeds Sport: The suspension setting is firmer Sport+: The suspension setting is even firmer. Some models also have a button to raise or lower the car, just in case you need a bit more ground clearance.
@ikura72
Жыл бұрын
@@npoleary So, with this feature, the firmness of the suspension (more or less firm) is decided by choosing the corresponding "Dynamic drive profile", right? And the button between the driver and the passenger, with a symbol "car+arrow up" would only be used to higher or lower the car, and won't affect the firmness of the suspension, did I understand correctly? In which driving conditions would I need to press that button to higher the car? Our to lower it? Cheers, Kim
@npoleary
Жыл бұрын
As long as when you change DYNAMIC SELECT you can see a picture of a spring on the top, then yes it will change with it at the same time. Adjusting the height is only needed if you need extra ground clearance, going off road or if you need to manoeuvre onto a kerb or something
@ikura72
Жыл бұрын
Thanks Nick. All clear.
Is ir possible to amend the preset position that the left hand mirror defaults to when using it to look at the kerb when parking?
@npoleary
3 ай бұрын
Yeah you just choose where you want the mirror to go and it’ll remember it for next time. No saving needed as it does it automatically 🤓
Dear Nick, I have a 2019 E300. I saw your video about the cruise control being able to read the speed limit signs on the highway if you move the resume button upward twice. I have the /symbol and another icon to the left of the /symbol. Will my vehicle read these speed limit signs and adjust speed accordingly? Many thanks, Dale Bailey P.S. I love your videos, they are so informative; they’ve helped me a lot. Didn’t know all the things this car is capable of!
@npoleary
Жыл бұрын
Hey Dale, ah it depends on the specification of the car. Some have Speed Limit Assist and some have Traffic Sign Assist. Speed Limit Assist uses Sat Nav data where as Traffic Sign Assist utilises a stereo camera. So depends on what you have, you can usually see what you have in Settings, Assistance in there. Glad you’re enjoying the videos!
I can set my passenger mirror to automatically dip when reversing and thats on a gla 200 2019 plate.

Hey AG, thank you! It’s not so much on the actual car, most cars experience this due to the camber on UK roads but if it’s been checked out by a technician, I’m sure it’ll be fine 🤓
