Joey! You are the MASTER of shadows and 3D lettering!

I struggle with shadows when there is a horizontal line, such as in a large flourish. When to cut off the shadow and resume on the other side always gets me. I think I figure it out in the moment and then later in the project realize I did it wrong and the whole thing looks off and I get mad for messing up and having to do it all over.

I purchased your book last weekend at Michael's. I began reading it and now I'm obsessed with your social sites. I have always been really into writing cursive, my friends always compliment my writing and lettering is something I've always wanted to do and thanks to your videos and tutorials I feel ready. Ooh yay!! That makes me so happy to hear!! I think it depends if you want to sell lettering pieces or do calligraphy for weddings or teach and make courses. There are so many things you can do and there’s no wrong way. It takes time to learn what you love so don’t be afraid to try all the things. My business has gone through so many iterations!! You may have to give me a specific example! I wonder if some of the places going up to the left is when I'm gradually ending the shadow? Because you don't want a really harsh cut off. Does that answer it?

My favorite pens? That's so hard to choose! I have a lot of favorites which is why I have my Amazon favorites linked in the description and hopefully that helps! :)

Those are Kuretake Clean color dot markers! :)

I really don't get that you are such a good creator I really love your works but you don't get enough likes and views?? ...Your videos are really awesome..

When I use a colour for shadow it makes the black bleed! Any suggestions?

Oh yes! Are you using a water resistant pen? Like sharpie. And it has to be totally dry! I hope that helps!

Maybe something to do with being left handed but I naturally always add shadow to the left and under

I think she wrote the word in alcohol ink and did the shadows in watercolor markers

Yes, @Sparkle08 is right! The black ink is with Sharpie stained which are water resistant. The shadows I blended are Karin markers which are waterbased! :)
