Tuck's face at 5:32 made my day.
Loved seeing you give your little boss a drink. My dog is such a water hound, if he saw you watering your garden with a hose, he'd be right there, climbing into the middle of the operation, so you couldn't even see where the end of the hose is. lol Thanks for the summer check list.
A couple of years ago we field tested Surround, gauze wrap, and foil on dozens of squash plants. Gauze seemed to be the most consistent repellent against borers in our area (Maryland 7b (now 8a)). We still apply Surround to all cucurbits but wrapping the base and 8-12" of lower stem with gauze has eliminated borer issues completely.
Tuck❤❤❤❤ I started watching your channel because your Tuck looks almost identical to my late Roo (Ralphie)! I’ve learned so much and get the joy of seeing you with Tuck. Makes my heart full again! Thank you so much!❤
I don't even know you personally, but I am just SO PROUD of you! I have been watching you from the beginning and you have truly created something so amazing and have taught so many people how to grow healthy food in such a bountiful way, it's just wonderful. And this video was PACKED with excellent information! Thank you and God bless you!! ❤❤❤ for the Boss, too!

I love eatching your videos. You are so energized and filled with enthusiasm. I have learned so much from you. This year is my first full garden, growing tomatoes, pumpkin, red onions, zucchini, vutternut squash, okra, eggplant, string beans, pole beans, bush beans, corn, cantaloupe, peppers, herbs and watermelon. I started with a lot but I have learned so much watching you and other videos. It is a lot of work keeping up with everything. However I have made a chart for each vegetable and I record all of my tasks for each. It is a lot of fun and my vegetables are doing well. The most difficult ones are the tomatoes but I have mastered them and rhey are producing and foing well. Another challenge are the cucumbers. They were beautiful until I began pruning. Now they look weak. I will continue to study them. Thank you for all that you do.

About the pruning.....I was told from another video never prune anything. Nature does not prune so we shall not also. How disappointing.. because I have pruned everything, and yes the plants look weaker now.

@@kijihigh6826When pruning it is only for a Larger(quantity) Harvest. You want FRUIT Not MORE FOLIAGE. Pruning is not necessary, yet for those of us who have been doing this for DECADES, Pruning is an Added Benefit if done correctly. Don't fret about pruning, FOCUS on Watering, Nutrients(yellowing leaves) and weed control. Keep moving forward ☺️

James, could you make a video explaining the importance of placing your planters facing the right direction in relation to the movement of the sun? I think that would be a great topic to discuss. Love your tomatoes too! Your harvest is going to be legendary.

Depends on what you’re trying to grow and how. I assume you want maximum sun exposure? That would probably be in lines north to south. I like experimenting with all directions because the volunteer veggies find the best spot
Valuable tips. Thank you so much for your time and dedication.

Tuck @ "Before Pruning" ❤❤❤😊 I have squash growing envy. I'm determined and inspired by you!
Today, I saw the squash vine borer in my garden. It was thirsty and was getting a drink from the bird bath, probably right after it laid eggs. I liked the tip to put soil over the bottom of the plant. I’m starting my second round of squash, cucumbers, melons and brassicas this week. I’m in zone 6. Thank you. 😊 Your garden looks beautiful as always.
It's our first year doing our home garden, and watching you has made me determined to set us up for next year and the future of our food Forrest ❤. Thank you for sharing your experience and joy of this. You get me so hyped !
Thank you James. 💚
I always learn something from James videos and viewing his garden while he is giving us tips makes me happy! 💛 Seed to Harvest is a beautiful miracle! 💚
Just fantastic , I garden a lot and did actually learn some neat tips and techniques from this video . TY !
Congrats to the winner! Thank you for the chance JP and Tuck! That'd be awesome if you do another giveaway. 💕
For white flies, which I got early this year, and aphids I've used a a mixture of 1-2 tsp peppermint oil, 1 TBs plain castle soap to one gallon of water. Amazing results! Shake sprayer often
Thank you! Happy gardening! You are an amazing inspiration!
Been following your advice and my garden is EPIC this year. I'm in zone 9a and the shade cloth has been a game changer. Game. Changer. Who knew. . . . ALL the plants are thriving because of the cloth.

James, thanks for giving great advice for us who live south. I used to pick the suckers off the tomatoe plants , but I'm in TN . It's good to know that I don't need to do it. Thanks again!!! I love to see Tuck in the videos!!!❤❤❤❤

So many tips and reminders. A few leaves on our tomatoes have damage. Been looking up online pics of damaged from tomato hornworms. Hunting tomorrow. Also searching life cycle of tomato hornworm. Fascinating. ❤Tuck has the cutest expressions on his face. ❤. Thanks for sharing James.

Tips penting dan manfaat ..
Hi James, thanks so much for going over pruning tomatoes again. I'm a first year grower, and have been doing what people say, prune the bottoms. But I made the mistake of letting my seedlings grow together and they wouldn't come apart so I now have "jungle buckets" of 2-3 plants a bucket (lol). They are going massively wild and fruiting to boot. So I have been doing what you're showing, letting the sucker thrive and trim the traffic. Your demonstration helps confidence in knowing what I'm doing makes sense because I've got more than I bargained for. Thanks again!

Another tip: You don't have to follow the spacing directions of the seed packets to have success and harvests. Look into intensive garden planting here on KZread if you prefer a smaller or "crowded" garden like I do! It's life changing techniques for gardeners!

Thank you for the very informative video and comments
You are such a joy to watch.
It's 110º and windy here. Humidity is 16%. Nothing is staying wet for very long!
We’ve almost reached our annual avg for rain. I didn’t mulch much and went to granular fertilizer. Fungus will soon be an issue. Already have rust on hollyhocks. Would have loved to try clay this year but it rains every other day almost. We bury a vine and do surgery as I have tried everything else. The pests must be getting drowned because there are way fewer except mosquitoes. And I just read the powdery mildew is worse in dry weather. I will never go without netting on brassicas and I don’t see any cabbage moths.

Didn't have the money to do a garden this year. Thankfully I didn't plant the bed, with the heat and sparce rain It would have needed much watering. SO HAPPY Tuck is doing so well after his scare a while ago !! Lost my 15yo gal in April, heartbreaking.

I’m in south Georgia and I’ve already had the hornworms. They are gone now and I have basil all around the plants. I’ve had a lot of trouble with aphids on my peppers. The jalapeños and the bell peppers. This is the first year I’ve had trouble with them. I’ve been using a homemade insecticide.
