I am definitely using Blob!! This is great for using target language and also on a social emotional level, showing how kids are alike rather than different. Thank you for sharing!

Great ideas. I focus on fun and games too, games that require the target language and lots if fun competition. Could you explain Blob a bit more?

I really loved some of these ideas. I'm really interested in doing the one, I forget what you called it... Clip Chats?, where there are silent videos. You can do SO many things with that. That one I think I can squeeze into my classroom at the school I work at.. They're pretty resistant to new activities a lot of the time.

Hey Dakota - If you have resistant little gems in your class, then this one is a winner. ClipChats(MovieTalk) are like watching videos with comprehensible subtitles provided by the teacher, so you get to choose any high-interest video topic that allows you to throw a ton of language at them. Any icy class would be open to it, because it's so entertaining, short, and sweet!

@@lalibrelanguagelearning4179 Sadly it's not the students who are resistant. It's the school itself. =[ Japanese companies seem to be pretty strict on what can and can't be done.

Dakota Abroad what a shame! You can always direct them to the research, this is what I do with resistant administration. Direct them to the SLA research on ACTFL, The Language Educator is one of my favorites.

@@devongunning7733 Oh, I've tried. I've just given up and am looking for a new job. They all know I'm not renewing my contract because I don't feel challenged and they are too rigid in what is allowed. They loosened up a LITTLE after I made that clear, but not enough for me to want to keep working there.
