I use wig/toupee tape instead of fashion tape. The wig tape is meant to keep a entire head of hair in place so it lasts SOOOO much longer.

When I have a jacket that feels a little too small but still fits under the arms, I use a large scarf (with a print that might pick up the colour of the jacket), The scarf seems to disguise the fact that the jacket no longer does up by filling the gap at the front.

I use them in my shoe boxes to prevent moisture. I store my shoes in transparent boxes so I can see them and they stay away from dust.

I always have a safety pin or two on the zipper pull of my makeup bag. You never know when you might need one plus it’s not floating around at the bottom of bag. Not too exciting but useful!

I’ve done the clear polish thing on my earring for years. It works like a charm.

These are all great tips!! I have to say, though, I’ve become very intolerant of pieces in my wardrobe that require any kind of hack, and I’ve decluttered them. 😂 I’m not sure if it counts as a hack, but I do use a tailor if I love a piece but there’s something off about it - I just had big annoying bell sleeves taken off a black dress and now it’s perfection. ☺️ You’re extra hilarious when you’re over caffeinated lol!

You're so refreshing! Aside from that, for the rust on your fan, go to your local hardware store and ask for NAVAL JELLY. Take your fan apart and brush it onto the rusty areas. Allow it to sit overnight. Voila! You'll be able to rinse the parts and rust away. Allow them to dry and spray paint with a Rustoleum clear paint. Reassemble the fan, and it will look like new again!

Hey Frederique! Great video! I like the brooch idea! This video was fun. I don't know whether this can be considered as fashion hack or not... But please have a tailor who can alter just about anything. You may not have a great husband or a great friend but a good tailor is a best friend alongside the hair dresser. Also while buying shoes, go to store during the evening coz at that time your feet is probably tired and sore... You will know which shoe is comfortable. Well I always do this and my shoes last longer now!

What an excellent idea! I also go when hot and bothered in summer, if they fit then, they'll fit anytime

I use four types of hangers: velvet for most items, “crystal” (clear plastic) for heavier jackets or dresses, clip-type for skirts and trousers, and in winter, padded ones for knits. I know knits should be folded, but I don’t have any shelf space, and the padding minimizes damage. They’re only out four or five months per year, so they recover their shape completely after washing, during their long summer rest in storage, folded in zipper bags. Each type of hanger is uniform, all my velvet ones are black, for example, so my wardrobe still looks neat. I rather like having everything hanging, it helps me see what I have in my huge wardrobe. I’m thinking of buying the matching clips to convert my velvet ones to skirt/pants hangers, but I don’t know if the velvet hangers are sturdy enough, they’re pretty flimsy.

Great tips as always , fashion tape is my favourite. My Mum taught me a great tip on not transferring make up on to clothes eg white tight T-shirt or jumper by using a silk scarf over your head put on top remove scarf , great to use while out shopping too !!

Hi, Frédérique. I love your videos. I appreciate how you get to the point soon and you move from one point to the next quite rapidly and how you supplement the talking part with visuals. Very important. Still, my fashion hack, which was given to me by my husband, who is a photographer, is to ALWAYS WEAR A LITTLE BIT OF RED Photographs that have a little bit of red always get noticed without you not knowing the reason why. The same way the eye will get drawn towards you if you are wearing the colour. But do it subtly. Maybe as a lipstick, or nail varnish or a small earrings. Or as a hat, shoes or a handbag.

You are so real this is why you are going to be a giant success on KZread!!! xxx

With some blouses you can try the brooch in the front also.

If you don't have a brooch you can put a safety pin on the inside so you cannot see anything and it doesn't hurt to sit.

Beltloop = the thingy on the side for putting the belt through. Tip: when you buy something with buttons put clear nail varnish on the cotton. It will last longer. Another tip: upgrade plastic or "cheap looking" buttons on basic clothes with luxury buttons.

I have the “jeans or pants gaping in the back” issue a lot. I fix it by sewing 2 short darts downward, at the back of the waist, with a sewing machine. (You can also take it to a tailor.)

Thank you for your entertaining and informative videos! For humid days, carry a dryer sheet (new or already put through the dryer) in your purse and run it over your hair after combing to smooth away the surface frizzies. It makes your hair smooth and shiny, you can do it several times a day, and it helps you avoid using more hair product.

Great video!!! Currently, my favorite fashion hack is to wear a cardigan backwards with the buttons on the back. I think it is very chic and unusual and adds a little bit of a twist to an outfit. Hope you like this one.

Thank you Frederique ✨ love the earring tip, I've a lot of bijou (dress jewellery, we always called it "bijou") earrings, now I can finally wear them. If you don't like ironing, maybe invest in a travel streamer, it's really small and quick. You hang the clothing up and just steam it for a minute by moving the steamer over the required parts. It's great on difficult fabrics and blouse sleeves for example💜👌🏻

Loving your video today, always do! :-) To make high heeled shoes and boots more comfy I always use an insole, makes all the difference. And if dresses or blouses have too deep a neckline I wear a camisole underneath in a complimentary or neutral colour. I also sometimes sew swatches of fabric into low necklines when I want it to be permanent, then I don't need an extra under layer.

Super hilarious today Frederique 😀The fashion tape especially with cami straps that slip down was great. I like the brooch at the back and the elastic on the jacket sleeve. My hack is no more than 3 colours going on in an outfit. Or wear neutrals with a pop accent colour as a contrast in shoes, blouse, scarf or bag. Elevate an outfit with one carefully selected piece of jewellery. If you are busty wear long scarves or necklaces to draw the eye down and lengthen your silhouette.

I hate ironing too. I hang my outfit at the back of my shower rail when I shower and then over the shower head with shower curtain closed while I get ready. Usually it steams the wrinkles out. When traveling, first thing I hang all my outfits at the back of the shower rod.

Some excellent tips - as always! Merci. I changed all my clothes hangers to the slimline velvet ones. Although they are super, the wooden are better - so you really do have the best hangers for your clothes! Hopefully that makes you feel a little better about your hangers! 🤗

@@ms.frederique To be fair, I think it depends upon the individual wardrobe. Perfect for lightweight blouses etc. Personally I found the wooden hangers more durable; sturdier. One has to be very careful hanging a blouse on the thinner velvet hanger - the wooden hanger has more support at the shoulders for the item. Whilst a silk blouse might sit perfectly on a thin velvet hanger, it’s not as suitable for heavier garments like a jacket or a suit. The wooden hanger gives much more support. Likewise if you want to hang the skirt/trousers with the jacket of the suit a thin velvet hanger is not as supportive as a wooden hanger. The other advantage of a wooden hanger is that the wood can be a natural pest deterrent (ie silverfish, moths etc). Admittedly one can always purchase cedar-wood repellent. Of course there are also padded hangers! lol To finish on a positive for velvet hangers - they certainly do give you more space in your wardrobe!

Love your fashion hacks. I used to wear stretchy tube like skirts (when I was slimmer!!) with a stretchy elasticised waist and depending on what mood I was in, I would adjust the length of the skirt by folding the waist down. So one look was maxi skirt the other was a shorter skirt just above the knees. I would folder down several times to achieve the shorter length and cover the folds by wearing a wide belt or longer top. This works with any knitted or stretchy type narrow skirt xx
