“So you can breath under water?” 😂 Nice job on the tank. We’ve had ours for 3 years now and love it.

We built the same thing for the granddaughter using a sand filter system. I also installed a 10x10 canopy over the pool which really helps to keep evaporation down and of course the sun off of it which in turns helps to control the algae. I use just a little bit of bleach in the water with no issues. I added a skimmer which also helps to keep the water clean along with a dip net. I use the siphon method to vacuum the bottom of the tank when needed.

Hello! First season with my 10’ poly tank and I flipped it for winter. The only issue is when it rains the bottom starts to cave in due to the weight of the water. Guess the only way to fix this is just leave it right side up and drain it on occasion. What do you do with yours?

I flip it over also for storage. Put a bucket in the center of the tank. Measure the depth of the tank from the top rail to the bottom. Use a wood block to make up that distance. Mine is one inch taller than the depth. That allows a little slope that lets the water run off.

How is the vacuum manifold doing? Does it create enough suction to vacuum the pool?

It didn't quite work out as planned. I ended up going with the Intex cordless vacuum. I believe If I would have went with a 2 in to 1 1/2 connection it would have functioned properly. The 3/4 valve was just too much restriction.

What did you do for that flange lip thing on the inside of the stock tank. Mine is quite big and could be sharp?

@@joehill1538 Nice. I have not done anything to ours. Is yours also a hastings? I got 10 foot model and paid 700 and had the coop deliver it. I am still considering adding in jets and filter and that kind of stuff. Tryint to find the right parts is kind of hard. I wish I had saved that hoto tub pump that I help take to the dump. It leaked yet the pump work and everything else. Most time peopel toss them because they leak for the control board is bad. I am also considering digging a hole and putting it in the ground and getting that plastic deck stuff and make a small deck around it.
