I'm from the U.K. and when I was 9, there used to be water hemlock on the path to and from my way to school. once I accidentally fell into some and had rashes and stomach pains for weeks. it happened to lots of kids in my close/culdesac and the council had to come and clear it away with a biohazard team. that's something I'll never forget.

There's always something so genuine about Mat that you can't completely hate him since he seems so likable. Even when it's videos that make you stay up or jut highly disturbed.

If you're CERTAIN it's amanita phalloides, or another dangerous mushroom, sprinkle them with dry laundry detergent, it sometimes kills the mycelium. If you notice a circular pattern, complete the circle with the detergent sprinkling, as they tend to grow in 'fairy rings', in other words, outward from a central spot.

that is strange, me being icelandic I have never heard that tradition, and I have actually never eaten sour rotten shark i.e. hakarl. I guess I´m not icelandic then. I know we do tend to "trick" tourists to try our local cuisine. But traditionally we do eat hakarl around a time we call Þorrablót or Þorri, witch is an midwinter festival where we eat our national cuisine, or the food that was prepared like in the old days when people had to improvise, as for example every thing on the sheep is used, the meat, the wool, the bones and even the organs. We even eat the faces or we make jam out of them and use the stomach as a pouch for the liver and sow it in and boil to get liver sausage or blood pudding, something similar to black pudding/haggis in scottish and irish cuisine. I mean they used the guts for jerky for children or as condoms back then!

Ya we have deadly nightshade in BC Canada. In is extremely hard to get rid of too. I have to check my yard every week in it’s growing season.

My grandfather, an Italian man, used to have that "worm cheese" as we called it, smuggled into America (along with some really delicious, but non FDA approved dried sausages and other preserved meats you'd only find in Italy). I remember it was always a big laugh when he would get some in, and how we would all giggle and gawk when he would eat it. Since I idolized him as a child, I am almost certain to have tried at least a piece or two back then. rip grandpa.
