Depends on the tanks. In tanks involving few fish or just two angelfish, the smaller one is liable to be attacked. Males spar males, females with females, pairs with others. With large groups of similarly sized fish in larger tanks, they’ll be slightly less aggressive, in my experience. Just not cichlids, they’ll take a HUGE bite of them. Try South American tetras around 3”. Don’t quote me, not everything works.

It’s competition because males have a territory that they protect females pick the strongest male although they school when young once they mature they are solitary until they find a mate.

Nice video I made several mistakes with angelfish tank mates like puffers

My 29 Gallon consists of 1 Golden Angel (he got to aggressive with his mate, and she passed a little after she was rehomed:() a RTB shark, 2 BNLF Plecos (one is albino and the angels did show a lot of interest in him and picked at him when I got him) 2 pearl gourami, some albino cories and 5 white cloud minnows. Everyone gets along and my tank is awesome to look at. Love angelfish and so happy they were my first centerpieces.

I have a 75 gallon also, got 6 Angels, some Cory's, one clown pleco and one flame red Guarami. This video came out in perfect timing cause I was wondering what else I can put in with them. Might try some tetras and see how it goes. Thanks for the info man! Keep up the awesome vids

I just took out a big cichlid that was outgrowing my angelfish's tank, and now the anglefish is the only one in there. He's looking pretty lonely so I was going to look up angelfish tankmates but you beat me to it!

@@ad3mp3na98 SO true! Angelfish "males" are really tough guys...they get bossy and demanding. But, they do get lonely, and really like having other fish around to keep them company, like little colorful "playtoys". Mine get along with platties and mollies who keep them entertained for some reason!

I also keep a rainbow shark and three pictus catfish with my angelfish and they get along really well

How did the bullhead work out? I had one years ago that got very aggressive once it got some size. It became a pet fish that just got a tank to itself and was very tame.

Min are with neon tetras , guppy fish ,platy fish ,swordtail fish and cory cats

With the live bearers... I had sword tails in with the Angels, but found they didn't thrive as they prefer hard alkaline water and Angels prefer softer slightly acidic? when they snuffed it I switched to Dwarf Gourami's.. I love my livebearers but they seem to do better in a separate tank with different conditions?

I have a festivum cichlid, 2 pearl gourami, a blue gourami, 1 4 line catfish, 1 pictus catfish, 1 spotted raphael catfish, 1 sun catfish and my 2 angelfish. They all get along. The only problem i had was i had a second festivum cichlid but he never grew. He stayed small. I would watch him eat and just one day he stopped and and died a couple days later. My angelfish are koi angelfish.

Your information about plecos is a little to vague and generalized. There are hundreds of pleco species some get huge and prefer a meaty diet but If you are speaking about bristle nose plecos I would say for the most part you are correct but they would need to be feed. They will eat algae but this will rarely keep them alive for long. They should be feed a mixed diet of vegetables. Zucchini, sweet potatoes, green beans to name a few.

Indy Angler Clown plecos could get big depending. So make sure to research!

i have 4 angels, 4 gourami, 2 zebrafish, and 1 axolotl i used to have 2 axolotls but one of them died. i'm not sure if axolotls can stay with fish or not- he might of died bc the temperature was too warm or maybe one of my fish killed it. i also had 10 zebrafish,, but the gouramis killed them and ate them. should i get rid of any fish? or should i but another tank? i'm kinda worried about the fish- especially about the angelfish and the axolotl. i'm not sure what to do

I dont know whats going on with this tank of mine, but I have four Angel fish that kill anything I put in the tank. I have put bigger fish, and they have killed them.. EVERY SINGLE ONE! The only thing they didn't kill is one of the gold fish.. It somehow survived these killers..I am thinking of getting rid of them just so I can buy more fish and enjoy my tank.

What type of fish? Was it cichlids, goldfish? Maybe they were sick and the angelfish ate them as they were dying. Angelfish have frames and body shapes that render them incapable of overpowering fish larger than them. Maybe I can help sort it out. Tankspace is also an issue sometimes.

adding angels would overstock your tank and guppies can be a little nippy. i love your fish choices

You might lose your guppies.

We’re you adding wild caught fish to your angle fish tank without quarintening them. One hell of a great way to bring parasites into your tank.

Help me your videos built up my interest to take care of fishes. Now i have color glass, black moors, goldfishes, pearlscales, and pink zebra and ofc angelfish. My angel fish is possibly the reason why my 6 neon tetras because i caught my angelfish biting them. Now i dont have neon tetras. After losing all six the following days i caught my angelfish AGAIN biting my moors then the goldfishes pearl scale pink zebra and now my color glasses are dying one by one. I used to have 6 now i have 3 didnt know why till i caught my angelfish just now biting my color glass. Help me what should i do?

No no no.. not a good mix at all! Gold fish are cold water fish, Angels are not. Goldfish will grow extremely fast & will produce a huge bio load. Gold fish should def be housed separate. Please don't mix goldfish with angels. Awful

My angelfish are very peaceful unless something nesses with them, this morning a guppy nipped my angel and when I came back from school I found the guppy dead completely missing his tail

Guppies are naturally prey to angelfish. They’ll happily plunge through schools of neon and cardinal tetras, small livebearers. Larger tetras and small nonagressive cichlids (maybe hybrids like the red parrot or the blue zebra/panda) work better, especially with the Altums.

i have a 90 gal tank with a male and a female beta as well as corydoras,platies,and glo fish would one angle be ok with the betas
