Can confirm the durability aspect of the 2DS. It once slipped from my bag and fell, one of its corners directly hitting concrete, BOUNCED and then hit THE OTHER CORNER ON CONCRETE AS WELL. The game, SD card and stylus all popped out, and the only damage to the DS itself was some scratches on the two corners.

Everything wrong with this video ______________________________________________ 1: There's only one screen: this is common knowledge to everyone who owns a 3DS or 2DS console. 2: The 2DS XL is as powerful as the 3DS XL: Wrong, it's as powerful as the NEW 3DS and NEW 3DS XL. 3: You can't accidentally eject the game card or SD card: For the game card, this is true, but the SD card has always been placed in such a way that it is impossible to eject whilst playing. 4: The New 2DS XL is thinner than the 3DS XL: You can tell from just one look at the systems, how is this a fact that nobody knew? 5: The 2DS XL stylus is very tiny: Again, you can tell this from just one look at it. 6: The 2DS can't do anything 3D: Hence the same, *2D*S, this is literally a fucking joke. 7: The 2DS is very child friendly: No shit, that's who it was marketed towards, the rugged design and lack of clamshell screens makes the thing harder to break. Common sense is key there. 8: You can take 3D pictures on the 2DS: Obviously, it runs on the same operating system as the 3DS, which you can coincidentally also take 3D pictures. And, the winner for most misleading video title goes to... Seriously. A huge chunk of this video talks about the *New Nintendo 2DS XL* rather than the original Nintendo 2DS. It also refers to the New 2/3DS as just "2/3DS XL," leading to confusion. No idea if it's the script or the speaker, but someone made a big blunder.

I though the 3ds used a polariser (you know what they use in 3D glasses not the red and blue the clear or tinted polarisers) but the 3ds needed double the screen resolution the polariser sat on top of the screen

Just a tip: 2DS XL actually is the NEW 3DS System, without the 3D functionality. The New 3DS line, that includes the New 3DS, New 3DS XL and now the New 2DS XL are called New because of the new processor, that gives more power for the console. The NEW 3DS line it's more powerful than the normal 3DS line (including the old 3DS XL) and 2DS. The screen size doesn't give the power for the console itself, it's the better processor.

Same here. In fact I started wearing cargo shorts to carry my handheld gaming devices.

Wow, I totally didn't know that a fucking brick is harder to break in half than a clam shell!

One of the biggest things they didn't cover, that makes me mad, is that the 2DS is the best to hold for meatier hands. The buttons are pushed farther up so you don't have to scrunch your thumbs up. And the 2DS is just bigger all around. It gives you more space to grab the system from. The 2DS XL, 3DS, 3DS XL, and New 3DS XL are all easily held but after a like 30minutes to an hour of play your hands start to ache. (At least for me) this is something I've noticed after having extensively playing 2DS only then switching to the New 3DS XL. (I have since switched back to 2DS)

I feel like he lied about the 2ds NOT having high definition quality graphics. when I upgraded from my old 3ds(the first model type)to the 2ds xl(as he's been calling it, the clam shelled designed one)I've noticed a SIGNIFICANT graphics improvement to my games. not high definition my ass! but maybe he said that because the other handheld he mentioned just had better graphics than the 2ds, and since he noticed better graphics on that vita or whatever he probably just assumed that the 2ds just didn't have hd graphics.

In Europe you actually save 50 euros (i live in Greece and that’s what I’ve seen from our Europe eshops) Also the 2Ds was made for kids that’s why the stylus is small

I got a 2DS for Christmas. This really helps me, thanks!

I don't care if the slab design is ugly. It's the most comfortable of the 3DS line to hold which is all that matters to me. Mine lives in my desk at work, and I play Fire Emblem on it when I'm not busy. I'll bring it home if I have plans to do something like go to my in-laws house or something and just play Mario Kart or Smash Bros with the kids. I've bought a few consoles from the 3DS family for the kids but the slab is my favorite to use myself.

This should be called 10 things about the 2ds xl

The days of the GameBoy *Shows Shovel Knight, a 3DS Game* Also, about issues regarding the size of the stylus; Once you use it, it's small size isn't actually that bad. You just have to change the way you hold it and it's far easier to hold it while using the DS with a normal grip. The only problem i have personally, is it's positioning on the front of the New 2DS XL. This makes it far more awkward to remove and then put away quickly, because you have to move your hand down to the bottom while you're using it and then back to the side while holding it and playing, where as when it's on the side you can just slide it out quickly and back in afterwards without having to move you're hand away from where you're supporting the weight of the 2DS.

Doctor R Even though every game can be emulated at full speed through BlargSnes on the old 3ds/2ds. Just goes to show how Nintendo tries to persuade their consumers into buying something that is almost essentially the same.

None of the facts surprised me since I knew them(I own a 2ds) and since I have longer fingers than average the 2ds is really comfortable to hold.what you said about portability is true as my dad has a 3ds but always has a case when he travels with it, same goes for my 2ds. So even though portability can be an issue, it doesn't feel like a big issue as it is tough.

I like how this video is about the 2DS, yet a quarter of the video is about the 2DS XL

begging for subscription 35 seconds in. you're supposed to do that at the end.

The 2DS can't do 3D? HA FALSE It plays Super Mario *3D* Land also The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time *3D* and The Legend of Zelda Majoras Mask *3D* and it has two Screens Not one! so Some info Is *FALSE*

I've actually solved the small stylus for the 2DS XL because, you can buy extendable styluses for the 2DS XL that still fit in the system when it's closed

OMG YOURE RIGHT I DIDNT KNOW IT HAD A CIRCLE PAD AND AN X BUTTON WOW

according to the thumbnail it’s alluding that I didn’t know the 2ds had an x button and a circle pad. And it’s right I had know I no idea those existed thanks for the unnecessary arrow and circle in the thumbnail.
