Fun facts I know 1) Actually capeverdeans started immigrating to the US around 1850 alongside other portuguese islands (Azores and Madeira) because the american ships were coming to the area for whales. 2) Capeverde is an homogeneous nation but there are 2 "etnhies" in capeverde. the ''Sempadjuda'' and the ''badiu''. The sempadjuda feels culturally closer to Portugal and Europe, while the badiu feels culturally closer to senegambia/guinea and Africa. 3) Capeverde has been with Portugal for 500 years from 1460 to 1975. Most of Africa has been colonized from 1850. 4) cape verde was a desert island when the portuguese settled there in 1460 and "cidade velha" is the oldest city build by europeans in the tropics. 5) Christobal Colombus and Charles Darwin made a stop in capeverde during their travels. 6) Portugal had a concentration camp in Capeverde where it deported its political prisoners

Just few little corrections: 1 - portugueses didn’t discovered Cape Verde, as usual they invaded it and lied it was not populated. 2 - Kriolu Is the national language, but we pretend portuguese is the national language cause they are still ruling the country, we need a new revolution! ✊🏾 3 - if someone in Cape Verde gives you something take it. It’s impolite if you don’t. 😉 4 - Kriolu language is a mixing of African languages and European languages. Never, never say that kriolu is like an adapted version of portuguese...is like saying portuguese is an adapted version of spanish or that english is an adapted version of german. See, we Capeverdians invented Kriolu and it is a language and that’s it.

peace...you did great at explaining the 10factz about cape verde....just one mistake....the population of SANTIAGO is 294,135, not 27,947....half of cape verde people/population lives in the ISLAND OF SANTIAGO.......also if a girl, ends up dating/living with a man, without getting married, for whatever time period, whether 6 months or 6yrs...she wouldn't have the right to half of his property...unless he pass-away & they had kids together....the properties would be handed over to his kids.......for one to have the rights of his men's property, she's has to be married to that person

What....where did you hear, that at...that's not a fact...if the girlfriend has his kids & let's say he pass away...his boyfriend property will be pass down to his kids...let's say a couple is living together for 5yrs without getting married and they don't have any kids and everything is on the man's named...in let's say one day, they broke up...the girlfriend is not in-title to nothing...the boyfriend won't have to split his property with her.....unless they were married...the only way for one's to be intittle to half is by being married....that's worldwide...that's common knowledge
