Hollow ground is unlikely. Sinkholes under streets are usually caused by water leaks in one of the pipes under the street. Those can cause holes fairly quickly in the right (wrong?) kind of ground.

dude the amount of energy u spent concocting this theory could have been spent just finding the original clip. the last firework that the "uncle" just lit, went bad and exploded in their faces without lauchin in the air first, it sprayed them with sparks and the women equates what they just had happen, with a famous clip of a new year show of fireworks that should have lasted like an hour but blew up all at once in 30 seconds burning through thousands $ immediatly. thats when a rouge spark that landed in the box started lighting a fuse in the box of fireworks behind the car, "uncle" who just lit the previous firework and was the one doing all the lighting, and thats why he has a lighter, he just noticed the box fizzling and he ran over to check it out when it went off and set the whole box off in a chain reaction...

So refreshing to read this, for you are absolutely right. I cannot believe they will put scary messages on cigarette packets, but not on bottles of alcohol. We need graphic images of car accidents due to alcohol. Images of beaten women is another. Children putting flowers on parents grave, naming and shaming recidivist drink and drive. I'm sure you won't need to go to the extremes cigarette packets do, featuring people who died of Aids as dying of cigarettes.

@tinydancer7426

Alcohol is not the demon. It is the irresponsible consumption of alcohol that is the "life taker", the "family destroyer". Irresponsible gambling can be a destroyer of families and, yes, even lives, literally and figuratively. Put the blame where it belongs. It is possible to enjoy a bit of wine or the hard stuff. It comes down to being a responsible using of alcohol. My sister's first husband was an alcoholic, as was his own mother, father and even his stepmother. My nephew has only ever tasted alcohol once in his life ..... a beer ..... just one beer. He said he did not like the way it made him feel, physically and mentally. That was enough for him to know it was not something that was going to be a part of his life. He also learned that there could be a genetic predisposition to addiction, physically as well and mentally. So, he just does not consume alcohol ..... nor does his life partner. There is no alcohol in his home. If you visit in him home, you do not bring it into his home out of respect. Again, alcohol is not a demon. The problem is the irresponsible consumption of alcohol.

The entry about the falling icicles reminded me of the first AD&D game I ever played, back in the 70's. At one point in the game, the DM declared that a particular character had just died, because an icicle had fallen from the sky, piercing his head and killing him. When the player of the character disputed that as being impossible, the DM pulled out an actual newspaper clipping with an article about someone that actually died because of that. Ice had fallen from the sky, hit their head, killing them. Apparently, that can really happen. I don't remember where the clipping was from, I think the incident was somewhere in the northern European region. And, the hollowness under the road where the truck fell into the sinkhole actually kind of reminded me of Seattle and its underground. Underneath the streets in that area, are the original streets and first floors of the surrounding buildings. I imagine a street collapsing there would look similar.
Loved it!

The Baoshan earthquake epicenter was Baoshan - you can tell because the ground jumps up and down vs. swaying back and forth as when you are in an earthquake and one of the waves that its say 20 miles from the epicenter, your house will sway vs. jump. I lived in Japan for 15 years. We were resigned to know that we likely would die in a major 7+ level earthquake if the epicenter was middle of Tokyo. First 30 seconds were predicted to have at least 150K dead.
In the fireworks accident, it looks like the two guys stuck the rocket's wooden stick into the ground instead of putting it into the tube to their right. With its small thrust, the rocket can't take off unless it's free in a tube. On top of that, everyone was way too close to the fireworks, and the back door with the rest of the fireworks was left open. Three mistakes at once...
real nice they ran without helping everyone else out!

The barge was already overloaded when they had to mound up the load. The barge should have been loaded with the material flattened no higher than the cut water at either end. If the load had shifted, the barge would have capsized even if it hadn’t broken the keel. In the U.S., this is a common accident when barging taconite pellets. The are much heavier than they look and when mounded tend to fall and capsize the vessel transporting them.
If the car, in the first video was totaled, the occupants probably just made another one.
