I hate those narrow cell phone videos.

usually they are posted on vertical scrolling social media, and that's where these guys find them.

Yeah same, I don't get it that people don't realise TV and computer screens (and cinema screens for that matter) are HORIZONTAL, so make your videos horizontal, damn it! Logic, no? Unless they only want to view them on their phone... but still... versatility is better.

Come on people!!! you all need to do better.. Gary hates vertical narrow cell phone videos. Next time when you are around danger and trying to get to safety while also trying to record for us unfortunate people who are watching from the comforts of our home, remember to always record horizontally. For Gary!

hi
When I took forklift operating lessons, the instructor started the course by showing a whole compilation video of what could go wrong in a forklift. Once we finished that, he said, essentially, "So. As you can see, the best thing that can happen if you screw up in a forklift is that you end up on KZread. The worst is that you or someone else ends up dead. This course aims to show you how not to end up dead, or on KZread."
Please don't include filler, such as the feet of people leaving the elevator. Your footage is good; don't spoil it with stock images.
2:15 - You think that's a fire hydrant on the dock? Time for you to actually look at the video. The ship is at least 20 feet clear of the wreckage of the dock by that point. It's part of the fire suppression system on the ferry and since it's continuing, it's most likely connected to a sea water pump, and the boat is most definitely "taking on water."
That electrocuted tree footage was wild 🔥

Yes, definitely. It was freaky seeing a hearing that electricity arcing from the line to the tree!! I thought that trees were trimmed away from power lines to prevent that from happening. That what they do here in New Jersey anyway.

And underworld reignites the debate whether it's called haysham or he-sham (Heysham) - but the ferry was only out of service for a short while. I see it pretty much daily from the bus to work, as you can see the port at certain points on the route (as long as you're riding the top deck and know where to look though). You'd be surprised at how busy that port is as well for a technically minor port in Lancashire.

That electrocuted tree footage was wild . I really appreciate your videos and your kindness..
Overhead power lines are almost never insulated. Whoever told them that was full of crap. That is literally the reason why trees have to be trimmed to keep them away from power lines. The video showed exactly what happens when they aren't trimmed and why that is highly likely to start fires!
Hey I'm from Bellingham !! I remember that tree!
I really appreciate your videos and your kindness.

In the UK above ground powerlines are usually in the countryside or on rail lines. Residential and shop and factory power lines, are mostly buried underground and usually heavily insulated, though some very old ones did explode under central London pavements, a few years ago....at least two were caught on CCTV.

With that #7, the tree catching fire, I really wish the guy had called 911 while he was filming. I just hope SOMEONE called 911 before the whole block of houses goes up. Doesn't he even know that fire spreads? Some people.
I actually had a power line fall on a tree by my house a couple years ago and the noise the electricity made was so crazy. Seeing this video reminds me of it

For #2, you can clearly see that the excavator was on a barge, and that's what flipped under it. It was clearly too narrow and overloaded.
Fun fact, the Isle of Man has no speed limit of certain roads.
The crane operator really saw "oh feels like it's lifting the truck" hesitated a bit... and then decided to just go for it. Truly a genius. No idea what the video creator was on about "too late to jump back in to save the day", the crane operator is in the crane part (the whole time), not the driver cabin, and hes clearly still there at the end.
So much better than watching the news.
17:17 is a real life "Speed 2" situation :O hopefully no one was hurt.
Electricity is an amazing creature. l could watch and listen to that arcing all day
You should show the Bright Field crash in New Orleans.
I think they need to hire the real Egyptians to build that apartment building in Egypt.
Makes me glad my house isn't made in China. Power Company looks like they never trimmed the tree. I doubt it was a equipment failure at all.
Who knew watching fails could be this entertaining? Hats off to the creators!
Most of the start was not the Isle of Man. There is no long winding road by a wide sandy beach. There is no 6 lane bridge, and the Steam Packet ferries don't have green decks and yellow funnels.
That building looks like it's going to fall down, lets stand close to it so we can get a good view. There should be an emergency button next to the crane operator, so if it starts to tip, they can hit the button and cable spool freewheels and drops the load.
That last one- it didn't just "take chunks out of" those pots, it broke them completely. Now they'll need to be repotted, and that's not easy with larger plants.
You are somewhat wrong on video number 2. That excavator was one a float barge and for some reason that failed. They knew the water was deep that's why the attempted it with the float. I have seen a similar set up used successfully hundreds of times.
Flippin Eck ! . those were some extreme videos 😅
It's amazing to me that people STILL don't have enough common sense to stay away from windows during a tornado.

the crane counterweight thing, you want the counterweight opposite of the load. the counterweight in that video had the load on the same end. even with more weight it wouldn't of helped a whole bunch because the cab end doesn't hold counterweight. its still gonna lift lol.

@@kwiknkleen There's a dated documentary about entertainers in the 1940s through 1950s performing on the Neon Circuit. A series of towns and cities around the U.S. that were thick with neon lights, at that time. My town was on that circuit and the performer they were interviewing kept pronouncing it Yuh-Ky-Mah. Not really, it's the roll on, roll off ramp for the ferry.
10:43 I'd trust that 60 year old bridge that they're getting ready to blow up before I'd trust any new tofu dredge construction... 13:40 Whether there is 8 tons or 23 tons you get out and count your counter weights to verify. Never trust any gauge in a situation like that. 15:30 The excavator is obviously on a barge of some type, but the commentator is just going to gloss over that fact and make shit up...

Are tornadoes common 🤔 in China? As a southerner I've been through four large tornadoes 🌪 and am accustomed to the threat almost all through the year.
@Teverell
6 ай бұрын
As I understand it, while the vast majority of tornadoes occur in Tornado Alley or Dixie Alley in the US, they're by no means uncommon in other parts of the world. I like watching some of the tornado chasers and weather channels here on KZread and they occasionally look at tornadoes outside the US. I hope you stay safe!
I wish they did not show amateur videos that go round and round. There really is no value in seeing cameras moving with no focus on the drama.
0:55 - If the first story is supposed to be on the Isle of Man (geographically in the British Isles) why is the traffic here shown driving on the right?
Advertising on youtube is the best way to make sure I will never use your product or service.
Oh yea a tornado that left people stranded my state just hade four tornados in a close area
A tornado in China would be called a Cyclone.

At 9 min mark: business was not "literally" booming at the local market...
How can you build a new bridge FIRST if it's going to be in the EXACT LOCATION??? Kind of a dumb question, ay Bonzo? New bridge replacements are built NEXT to the existing bridge, if it's meant to receive the traffic BEFORE the existing bridge is demolished. Me thinks that is how it is done. "Exact location" is the key phrase. It does not mean "next" to the original location.
