Have really been enjoying watching your videos, you gave me a whole new perspective on fallout 4. On fallout 76 I am a heavy min-maxer and before I found your channel, I never knew that fallout 4 could be played as a heavy min-maxer aswell. Cant wait too see what else you got in store for the perfect playthrough and what choices your going to make in the main quest and dlc’s.

If you choose to play the hard core Survival mode, when you get to the elevator in Vault 111 and have the option to make any last changes to your character, change your name! Even if you're otherwise happy with your character this will start a new set of auto-saves and leave the auto-save that happens just before you get to the elevator untouched. That way you don't have to go through the 20-25 minutes of pre-war story and cut scenes every time you start a new character. You just go to that save then make any changes you want.

If you're playing on PC, well first off I recommend playing through unmodded your first time through so you can cater your experience better to your personal needs, but after that look into these mods: - Weightless Junk. Enables your hoarding habit, cuts down on having to go back to base every 10 minutes, and makes it so you don't have to jump between settlements when you forget to bring that one obscure component you needed. - Place Everywhere. Makes settlement building 1000% less frustrating. - Scrap Everything. This can be hard on the game's performance and risks actually breaking several settlements, but it also lets you get rid of all that trash lying around everywhere which is worth it for me. - KeyNuker. Reintroduces the key ring from previous Fallout games to unclutter your Misc tab. - Legendary Modification. Tired of getting crappy equipment with good effects? Strip that legendary effect off and slap it on something good. - Sim Settlements 2. VERY hard on your performance but also lets you fine tune how hands off or on you want your settlements to be. You can micromanage every little detail or just point at an NPC and make it their problem.

It's definitely worth playing there's just not a lot of variation on multiple playthroughs or builds, the story is kinda lame as well. The speech tree thing is essentially just three ways of saying "yes" and one way of saying "no for now" lol. There's not a great deal of choices yielding significant results like there was in any of the other games, like in f3 you can blow up a whole town within the first 5 minutes of leaving the vault and that changes your game permanently. Exploration is probably the best thing about it because the map, engines and mechanics are definitely good but when you've gotten 100% on all the games you can pick out a lot of flaws if you compare them because none of them are the same.

For settlements I would recommend pushing them hard into farming with crops used to make vegetable starch. If you plant insane amount of given crop per settlement, assign settlers and connect settlements you will be able to mass craft a lot of starch - for exp and to have glue. Also Idiot savant is really good for this even with high int. Brahmins in each settlement will allow you to mass craft jet which can be used as "currency" as well - buying something expensive from vendor and then dumping jet or better yet - some advanced version of it (that one with rocket fuel).

Your video sounds a lot like a love letter - and I couldn't have said it better :) One lesson should every game studio learn from Fallout 4 and Skyrim: let your original dev tools free and unleash the full magic power of passionate modders. The ways to transform and/or extend F4 are nearly infinite - that's what keeps me playing.

  • @profsakharov1191

Tip 2 Addendum: most settlement workshops can lose resources if the settlement is attacked and loses while you're not there. Some workshops are safe from such losses, for instance Home Plate in Diamond City. However, the best workshop to use to hold your resources is probably the Mechanist's Lair - no settlers, no food and water, so no attraction to raiders. Even better if you use robot provisioners as they can be built there, too, connecting other workshops to the main resource storage. Tip 3 Addendum: getting too lost in settlement building can result in a traumatic next encounter with a mirror. The mildly OCD 'need' to get things just right, no matter how many tries it takes, can result in (for the male player) your reflection not being entirely as you recall it due to such things as heavy beard growth, widespread appearance of heretofore unexperienced grey hair, and, in extreme cases, unnoticed onset of male pattern baldness, various previously smooth areas of skin being less elastic and more wrinkled, large piles of unopened birthdays cards, alongside (for post-nuptial players) subsequent distinct absence of marital partner and home contents due to obliviousness to all not Fallout 4, leading to virtual desertion and electronic re-settlement in the Commonwealth. For the female player all of the above without (except in ultra-extreme cases) the beard. .

Sure a maxed out intelligence can get you 30%+ xp gain, but a good build that needs less healing and finishes fights and therefore quests 60% faster, is better. Also unless it's my clothing overhaul mod, power armor removes the effect of either deep pockets on armor pieces or of the CC backpack, I actually have lower carry weight in pa.. granted I could mod the pa pieces too.

Love the game and have played every FO from 1 to Tactics to 4 many, many times. Here's another tip i found very useful. When you have a lot of true junk in your inventory, drop it all on the ground and then you can scrap each piece. Then in your workshop it shows up as copper, iron, wood or whatever, instead of showing as clipboard, pencil, camera or whatever. This is the best way to keep up with raw materials. It also unclutters your workbench. Its better to see "iron" rather than 45 cans and 6 cameras.

This is 99% true although there are some rare cases when scrapping makes weight increase, and a small number of items that should not be scrapped because they are more useful in their original form.

Finally got this game, time flys when you're living life. The hording tip was reassuring because i normally try not to over burden myself with too much junk but i was getting the sense i should pick everything up lol. Was a big fan of FO3 and #4 definitely had a different feel right off the bat.

A super important tip. High intelligence+ idiot savant is op. Sounds stupid but you still get have an okay chance for multiplied experience. Wear int boosting gear, night person, and then turn in a quest. I've gained up to 3 levels from a single Preston quest.

I started a pretty cool playthrough recently where I dont get any of the specific weapon damage perks, and instead rely on other perks and weapon mods and legendary weapons, I found an enraging gamma gun and named it ''Mesmotron'' and use it to enrage the highest level enemies in any area for some helpful backup, im actually using perks I never have before and clearing out an area is much more of a fun challenge, even dogmeat is useful with the attack dog perks, if he cripples an enemies arm they wont be able to shoot, this also adds an actual use for all the magazines/bobbleheads and companion perks, I also used the junk jet and the syringer for the first time in my life, never had more fun in fallout if im being honest

Another tip. Build a purified water economy in Sanctuary Hills, Starlight Drive-In and the Castle. You will need the Science! perk and materials to construct the more advanced water purification systems and you will have to beef up your defenses to keep your water producing settlements safe from attack. However, bottled purified water can be produced in large quantities (more so from the river in Sanctuary or adjacent to The Castle than the Drive-In movie theater but don't underestimate the latter). Then you sell the water and buy all the Fusion Cores and whatever else you desire because you're now the leading water merchant in the commonwealth.

Not gonna lie I bought this game early on since I was a huge fan of FO3 and NV but only spent about 10 minutes exploring the wasteland before I quit and moved on to another game. Im just now giving my FO4 another chance and I absolutely love it. I doubt anything will top NV for me personally but I get so caught up with settlement building in FO4 and I feel like they did a good job incorporating a little bit of everything. Huge open world, lots of exploring, lots of weapon options, building, side quests, ect..I'm going to be busy for a very long time

Companions will add interesting commentary. LOL. They never stop talking. They especially do not approve of you picking up anything. Dogmeat is a good boy because he does not criticize you. He makes up for it by barking to draw my attention to something. I turn around and no Dogmeat. I have no idea where he is.

Ever since fallout 4 came out I have not seen any spoilers to the stories or to the mechanics or anything. I am brand spanking new but I do love the fall out story in the 1st game up until now. Recently my partner got me new fallout 4 game of the year edition. Thank you for these tips! Im loving the game so far n watched some funny glitch videos from when the game first came out. So far i haven't ran into any bugs. So that's good! ^^ i wonder if the fallout community is still thriving? 🤔 anybody got any groups they recommend?

When it came to settlements and running supply lines i connected them to my main base, in that case it was sanctuary and i had the new settlements supply the manpower for that. That way all supplies go to sanctuary and through sanctuary all settlements have access to all supplies. Thats probably why i got cows on my roof back in sanctuary . . . Several

bonus tip "Rader Armor and Weapons are junk. If you spend your time stripping raiders like I do scrap everything from a raider once you get to a settlement this way you can make better weapons and armor and or upgrade Vault suits and Brotherhood under armor that way you have more protection when you equip power armor and hard suits.

  • @christophercollins3632
    @christophercollins3632 Жыл бұрын

#11 Start with Survival difficulty. Just do it, trust me. The game is meant to be played that way. Learning your way around, and getting a feel for the land, turns the experience from a fast travel checklist, to immersed in the commonwealth. #12. After finishing the game. Explore modding the game. Surprisingly, even console users can do this. There’s lots of ways to tweak simple stuff, like adding new gun sounds. But some mods can overhaul the experience, like removing all the power armors from the wild, changing up random encounters, or making guns with different ammo types. I’d also suggest that leveling quickly can get a newcomer in some trouble if they don’t acquire gear commensurate with the threats. Idiot Savant can super charge your build, which might not be everyone’s cup of tea, as they won’t like to be overpowered once they finally figure out the main quest.
