I was raised to be a Lady, good manners are essentials. My mother even sent me, when I was a teenager, to spend some time during the summer with a very sweet and 'proper Lady". She added to the list of me to learn how to behave like a real Lady. God bless you beautiful Lady.❤️
😂😂😂 Some ladies need to watch this in the morning everyday before stepping out the door. 👜

Mother always taught me to eat at home before going out to friends house, a relative, or on a date. It is because you don’t want to look too hungry, to eager.
One thing that is a pet peeve with me but is normalised nowadays - sitting at a table with someone for dinner but spending most of the time on your phone. My sister did that to me once and when I got tired of it I called her out. She was most upset and stalked off - but I felt like she was being rude to me because she could barely hold a conversation, she was on the phone so much. In my opinion if you are out with people you should be present in the moment, at least for the most part. Everyone checks their socials and takes pics, but people nowadays take it to the extreme of bad manners.

It's early in the video, but thank you for mentioning how blatantly rude it is to be late for an appointment. I personally know someone who is always late. This made me look at their overall character towards others. It isn't good.

Fumi I cannot STAND lateness. I totally agreed lack of respect. I attended a wedding rehearsal dinner, the time say 6pm tell me why the married couple showed up at 8:45pm, I told my mom if you were not with me I would have gotten into an Uber and left. Fumi I could have been at another dinner hanging with friends I have not seen in a long time. I was soooo made. EDIT: oh by the way the couple did not even apologize for their lateness.

The volcano!!😹 I used to have a problem with being late but as I’ve gotten older, have really made an effort to change this & it’s gotten a lot better. This video really drove that in for me. Love you!💟 And another bad manner is looking at your phone too much while in company, or not letting someone finish their sentence before starting yours… SO rude!

I couldn't agree more. The sad thing is that when a person shows good manners, they tend to stand out as extraordinary. In actual fact good manners in not a big deal, but so many people are lacking in that area. Quite sad actually.

I hate it when people are late and they don't even pick up the phone to notify you. I always leave.
I had to save this to my list of faves. I'm working on polishing myself up as i'm turning 30 soon. This is perfect. Thank you aunty
A man of quality will recognize a woman of class it’s how one dresses ,walks , and speaks and keeps her home and car if it’s clean she is clean . You are definitely the real deal not a fake I am 64 and have been to many high scale functions such as luncheons , parties , proms, and dinner parties. I took etiquette classes ,table setting , cooking, ballet tap and modern jazz , the first impressions is the last impression , I wish I saw more young ladies with class these days. You are a treasure trove of vital information these young ladies need desperately thank you Fumi!!!!!🌷🙏🏽🌷
Looking beautiful from head to toe Auntie!!! OMG I have broken 3 of the 10 rules of etiquette. I’ll be writing these on my bathroom mirror so that I do not forget when I leave the house.
Hello Auntie Fumi! I was crying because some of the most “cultured” people have no clue about etiquette. One of the worst things is seeing a lady cut a piece of meat as if they were sawing wood. The other thing is not saying excuse me while passing others. Thank you for keeping it real helping us ladies on our toes and polished! (No pun intended) You are the best!!!

Fumi, as a mature member of the Fumi Nation, I agree 100% with you, and more so now than ever. Everyone has a phone and can record your actions at any time.
1. Self respect self love 2 Arriving late 3. Shouting and laughing loud 4. Don't loose your composure in public. 5. Been drunk in public. 6. Use magic words e. g. Excuse me 7. Close your legs. 8. Don't scratch your head. 9. Look pleasant and dress pleasant. 10. Eat at home before going out for the dinner
Hello Fumi! Thank you so so much for yet an insightful video! You mentioned having a safety pin on you at all times while you are out. Could you perhaps make a video addressing the items a woman should never leave the house without, like an emergency kit perhaps, please? Could you show us how you organize your bag, please? Much love from Paris!

I second this. Thanks
Damn, I feel like I compromised most of my twenties over plates of food 😂😂😜
Aunty Fumi, we learned a lot of these from home; but sometimes, companies from Varsity, or work, kinda influence people to change. For me, my dating my husband INSTILLED punctuality in me. Oh yes! He left me one day when I was late, and I was horrified. My told me, that I deserved it. Then, she'd relieve me from my house chores to make it early to my dates. My father's family is loud, and I'm STILL working on my voice. I'm very conscious of it, so it's a work in progress. What I ABSOLUTELY ABHOR is foul language, expletives: they just don't make sense, and most are demeaning to women. Thank you SO MUCH FOR reiterating these values again. 🙏🙏
I am 58 and I have always eaten before going out especially to weddings and parties mostly because I often do not like to food offered. I am very hot on basic manners, it's really not difficult. I will only wait max' 15 minutes after that I leave! My time is precious. Do not take my consideration and kindness to make a fool out of me. Raise your voice at me and you'll see the back of my head because it's my cue to leave! When you started banging your head, I lost - laugh out loud! Thank you Miss Fumi, fabulous!
😆😆😆😆😆😆 the rinsing of the mouth with drink, 😆😆😆the picking of teeth😆😆😆😂 Oh my! 😂 You have such sense of humor even as you share very important tips on outdoor manners. Love you ma'am.💜❤️
Feminine class indeed, thanx lots Fumi, blessed to be part of the FumiNation..
Great tips! God bless you. When I first saw a female bang her hair because it was itching , I thought she was freaking insane. She just happen to be the cashier at a grocery store. Good hygiene and manners is important for both men and women and knowing that some habits is best left at home with the person and the savior. Pushing your chair in is so important . It drives me crazy to walk in any establishment and see the chair's scattered. We all are a work in progress, none of us are perfect. Thanks for these wonderful videos.

Fumi I agree with everything you have said & I must admit I am a true curser! While I feel there is a time and place for cursing I have enough respect to not do it in places that it should not be done or around certain people! I do my work in private, no one will ever be able to say they heard me cursing someone out!
