I actually found this true. My best friends and I always tease each other and push each other (not hard) a few of these things on this video I find can be true in different friendships (keep in mind a few not all) I find a toxic friend is someone who lies to your face if you ask how you look, and let you be honest back to them and never get offended. One of my friends was very very toxic. They were demanding, wanted free food all the time, wanted free service from my business, got their friends to go after me when they didn’t get their way, and overall were very emotionally draining. I cut them off after knowing them for 13 years because of this and intend to never talk to them again.

The last one.... Once I told my best friend I had a crush on someone and this other person found out about it and he told her he knew who it was and she specifically told him, “I don’t need to know, I respect her too much to find something like this out.” I almost cried for how happy I was.

Or maybe it’s wrong to let a person behind a voice tell you what is right and what isn’t. If someone you care about is hanging around bad people or picking up bad habits, wouldn’t it be best to intervene? What if they have food on their face? You wouldn’t tell them because it’s rude? Nathan or maybe the differences between the two are stated quite simply, clearly, and honestly. Having food on ones face is NO where near the example used in the video. Thats a reach. This video can give most people the chance to have an open conversation with themselves and their possible toxic friend. The only concern is that impressionable people (mainly teens, probably the adjective you meant to use) not “weak” people may using this video as an excuse to disregard a misunderstood friend(though honestly, if they cause more trauma and drama in your life than necessary, then you need to cut the chord).

Its best to show toxic friends the door. I am speaking from experience here. They are not worth the trouble and time to bother with :).

That was really odd. I've never heard anyone compare people to spiders before and spiders don't have any personality stereotypes like pigs being slobs so it made no sense.

It's sad that this is even a question. I don't understand why people are fake I just don't.

A friend I’ve known for 3 years recently cut all contact with me for no explained reason. Looking back, the person was pretty toxic and I’m glad that their negative energy is not in my life anymore. There’s a plan for all of us in this big universe, mine was beyond that obstacle in my road to success. Although it’s a bit disheartening as he is the only other foreign kid at my school. If he doesn’t want to talk about it I at least hope he realizes what he lost.

Plus, true friends will tell you the truth even if it hurts so that you can be better.

I have a friend who always likes to start arguements with everyone. Let's call her F. One day, there was a kid in the lower grade who broke his neck, and nearly died. Once an actual friend of mine told F what happened, F responded with, 'XD'. We told her, 'Hey, that isn't really funny. You wouldn't be laughing if it were you in the hospital.' She got all offended, and said, 'Well, it's your fault because you're judging me. I'm not a bully like all of you.' Using logic, I said, 'If we were bullies, I'm pretty sure we'd be laughing, along with you.' F ended up putting the blame on me. She is very manipulative. :(

I haven't recognized any of these in my friends, but I just recognized a lot of these in myself with my relationship to my husband. He is an angel and I don't want to be another spider in his already infested life. I didn't realize until now how unhealthy I have been, but at least now I know where I need to start improving.

I dont think a friend that lies to you when you actually look terrible ans say look good is not even a good friend. A good friend would tell you the truth because honestly it would save you the embarrassment of being criticized. Some of the things on the list are a bit disagreeable.

I've been a toxic friend before, I'm trying to be better. I also realize that sometimes your behavior is a reflection on your upbringing and who you hangout with. However, don't confuse it as being someone else's fault. At the end of the day you choose how you let those experiences shape the person you will become.
