This was me up until about 2 years ago. I tried so hard and did every thing I could to be a good friend but every time, I would find out sooner or later that they were toxic and the "friendship would quickly end. But then I met my best friend (and because of meeting that friend, I was able to be reunited with my lifelong best friend that I've known since I was a baby!) You'll find true friends one day, trust me. It may take a little while, or it may take no time at all. But once you do, life is so much better! Just keep on doing what you do are doing and you'll find some true friends soon enough! 😊

Well my friends don't laugh with me mostly they laugh at me. They just focus on themselves and ignore me. They lie all the time. They're always "too busy" to hang out. I have a friend and she’s been my friend for 4 years now ♡

After having a horrible time with people my age,and fake friends, when I went in a new school, making friends or even talking to people was not what I wanted to do. But after a while, I eventually made one friend of a girl who wouldn’t stop trying to talk to me. After many years, we’re still friends and has helped me make more, so I’m really thankful that my friend didn’t give up on an angsty, scared young girl

i remember this one time, i was crying in music class, my closest friends asked me how i was and i said i was fine, but they knew something was wrong, so he stood there and encouraged me to cheer up! he made me smile and laugh. he is truly the best friends anyone in this universe could ask for; he has my back, he is supportive, and overall an amazing friend. he will always be in my heart, and i will always love him. My best friend graduated a month ago, and given that he’s a year ahead, I won’t see him in person for awhile. Good thing we’ve made plans to meet up when we’ve both stabilized our lives!

I watched this and figured out that me and my best friend are all of these. Even today, we are the best of friends and always see each other when we can. I moved away about a year and a half ago and constantly go and visit my hometown. She never forgot me and always accepts who I am and is not afraid to say what she says. I love her so much and she has made the biggest difference in my life. I hope that everyone finds a friend as good as she is.

I have good friends, but some moments shared with people I don’t know have a much stronger impact on me. For example, I was in science class once and my friend was off. We were doing an experiment with the people next to us so I joined a three with two other students who I barely knew at the time, and yet they treated me the same way they treated each other. They made me feel welcomed and valued in a way my best friends never could. They dont interact with me as much as that one lesson, but that memory will always stay in my head, because if us three make a better attempt to be friends we might end up closer than the people I label my best friends now.

I realised today that my best friend is actually my true friend ❤️ I nearly yelled at her before, luckily I knew she was just trying to be my good friend ✨

Im crying. My friend and I check every one of these signs. We've known each other for over a decade. She drove an hour once to spend a day with me during a really hard time in my life. Whenever we hangout we have sore throats afterwards because we've laughed so much. We both cry at the mere though of not having each other. I really hope everyone can find a best friend like her in their lifetime. Being able to share the hardest things with each other and being able to laugh at the tiniest and silliest things. Best friends are such a blessing.

Watching this, I thought of my friend who I've known since childhood. I can tell her anything and she listens without judgment. She even gives opinions and suggestions without hurting my feelings. Recently, I told her about another childhood "friend" (I use air quotes cuz based on this video, that person isn't a real friend) who hurt me by saying something awful. We were walking around our neighbourhood when I told her this and when we were near a bakery, she's like "lets go inside!" and I've NEVER told her that I tend to eat sweets when I'm upset. The thing was, I didn't have money (cuz we were only going for a walk around the neighbourhood), so she said we'd come back another time so I could get something. But she still bought two croissants and then told me that I should get the free sample that the bakery had cuz I couldn't get anything. She knew exactly how to make me feel a little better even without me telling her and even went around the issue when I didn't have money. It was amazing and I love her ❤

Commenting this after a heart to heart with my friend. I didnt have a lot of people I could trust, and wasn’t able to kerp cobtact on top of that. As such, I developed severe abandonment issues. Thankfully, after telling my friend this, she affirmed that she's here to stay in my life, and I couldn't be happier. Thank you, Maria😌❤

People grow and change, maybe the bond/quick wasn’t there anymore with your bestfriend. Maybe they are growing up while you are still stuck in still an immature mindset. I love these videos! Now in college I have an amazing group of friends!!!! I have held on to people from over the years and I have always had a lot of friends but the reality is I have cut a lot of people off!!! Thank you for posting this. I really needed it. Right now I'm dealing with something with my best friend at school. Earlier last week, I couldn't taste. And I decided to let my friend know just incase she started showing symptoms of covid-19. Unfortunately, I thought that I could trust her to not tell anyone. Well, I was wrong. Since she's diabetic she has to check her blood sugar, so when it was almost the end of the day, I was in my 9th hour class, Math, and my teacher gets a call from the nurse. She told my teacher that I needed to go down to her office. I started to panic a little bit because I didn't know why I got called down. The nurse explained to me and said since I couldn't taste I would need to get tested. Now if I got tested without my parents permission, there would be a problem between the school and my parents. Now the nurse called my mom and asked if it was okay if I got tested. She said yes, and I got tested. Unfortunately, it came up with a slight red line. The nurse said that it was just the beginning of covid, and I would have to quarantine till the symptoms went away. Now that I have been home for 2 weeks now, I'm starting not to trust my best friend, because this is the 3rd time she's snitched on me. I just wish that she would have kept her mouth shut. She's been ignoring me for 2 weeks now. I go back to school on Monday, I'm afraid to go back because I'm afraid it'll happen again.

I was a true friend, I cared for my friends, I would make jokes to cheer them up. I would always be there for them, and I didn't judge them for what things they liked. @@jenninja3373 I think with the right person you will understand... I never thought I would love the quiet time with friends but now its something that we just do without realizing it... It's very special when you sit in quiet and talk without speaking... Its amazing when you have it! Its a miracle, something nothing can replace... Especially the feeling that they understand you while you are doing it... That friendship type is something you never give up without a GOOD reason, not just from gossip.

The fact that I always devote to every friendship, but it falls apart. I always encourage and I'm there for everyone during their hard time, may not be the best in advices and a shoulder to cry on, but I'm there to listen and look out for you. But I've never got that back, it's like I'm always being ranted on, and never been the one consoled...they rarely talk to me nowadays and ignore when I text them, but whenever they need something, they'd text me back, and me being the soft person I am, i can't ignore them..

Same. Its hard to let go of them, especially when they no longer want you in their life. On top of that they prolly ruined my image back home. Its been hard, but i made a new, amazing friend and life has been slowly getting better. So hang in there.

I thought about my best friend when watching this, this whole list got checked off, I’ve known my best friend since 2nd grade and he is the best thing to have ever existed in my life and I love him dearly. We live in different states which is very hard to deal with but when I come to visit it’s all worth it. We’ve had some ups and downs and even cut each other off once, but we rekindled and are now even closer. I’m so proud of him and I’m so glad I can call him my beloved best friend.

I have a friend,close...weeks ago...there is a thing happened... He was telling i Couldn't do anything right.have flaws regarding my socializing...and the struggle im doin to get over with,he sees it as not a struggle...i went hurted and stopped talking to him and the group...He is always like this yk...can't blame him for that..He has things of own too...But after seein this video...Maybe he was right along the point.Now putting much efforts now.Now i see why he like this to me when comes to my problem.I wasn’t pushing myself hard.So...he gave me this boost.Welp thanks for this.I do have friends like in this video. ❤

After two years i am rewatching it. I can finally say that I have a true friend FINALLY

Its taken me abt 12-13 years before i realised ive found a true friend to me, i thought my previous "best friends" were the best ppl in the world. However, once we all had moved up a school, I met someone that pretty much allowed me to be myself, through the good and bad times. Whenever almost the rest of my group just neglects me in my time of need, this true friend tries their best to cheer me up; And it's a good thing that I can count on such a good friend, especially since at that point, nobody else rlly accepted me for who I was. Im glad to have them as a friend :)

I am friends with this one person and to me they’re the best friend I’ve had in my whole life I’ve never been the happiest with someone but I remember when one day they literally said “I wish I had a best friend” that simple sentence broke me completely it felt like all the times we spent together meant nothing to them, all the times they made me happy, all the times we laughed together, all the times they told me something that bothered them was just a lie, a joke and it hurts it really hurts, I know it’s just a simple sentence that couldn’t mean much, but as someone who’s never had a genuine friend or someone to actually call their friend, it really hit me. It felt like to them my existence didn’t matter, but everyone is just the same no one will ever care for me. It just hurts soo much cause with that happening I don’t want to get close with anyone anymore. You can laugh with people and feel happy but at the end of the day can you really call them your friend? But honestly this was just me dumping this out cause I don’t have anyone to consult this with.

How I would describe a true friend: -They must trust me -I must trust them

I have really good friends, and I'm so thankful and grateful that I have them...but I think that the main reason I have friends who are honest and make time for me and are supportive and understanding is because I have been that friend to them.

After watching this video i now understood about my two best friends me and my friend, we were famous in our school everyone kept calling us "laughing friends" because we laugh all the time and my other friend always encourages me, accepts me for who i am so i can proudly say that I have 2 best friends in my life 🤗💜

There was something like that with my best friend a year ago. We barely talked for a year, she was going out with friends she knew for 1/2 months. But I reconnected with her and now our friendship is even stronger. Sometimes you have to let the person for a period of time, maybe some months. Than try to connect with them again and be active. If it doesn’t feel like before, maybe it wasn’t meant to be and you have to let them go so you can find the right people.

i think that i would be happy even if i had fake friends. it would be even okay if they disliked me. as long as someone would at least pretend to pay attention to me, i would be SO happy. but i was born wrong, never learned to socialise because of that, and here i am, rambling under a happy friendship video that i decided to watch so that i would know how to fantasise about not being alone, to cry meaningless tears. thanks for the video, it's really sweet, even if i personally can't relate.

Thing to remember with friends: -Quality over quantity. It doesn’t matter how many friends you have, what matters is if they’re true to you. -Time & Relationship means nothing. It doesn’t matter at all if they’ve been your friend for long, it matters if they’re real or not. -Stand up for yourself. If they feel toxic to be around, they’re most likely not deserving of you, and they’re probably the ones you should leave. Toxicity meaning like calling you names, telling you jokes about serious topics which aren’t funny, and pulling down your self esteem in general. Most of the time you notice this by listening to them calling you a party pooper and all that stuff and they force you to do stuff you don’t want to do. Everything in this video was what my best friend does to me. I’m so happy!!!

My best friend Julia and I have been friends since we were born (our mothers are best friends and went to school together) and I'm so lucky to have her she's is the best friend I could've asked for and even though we never went to the same school we were always close. I'm only 11 days older than her (we are both 18 now) and at this point she isn't even my friend anymore ... she is my sister. We couldn't be more different in some ways but we learned to appreaciate that. She is the truest friend imaginable and I'm so thankful to know her.

Throughout my life I've had my fair share of toxic friends who just end up leaving me with nothing and nobody, all alone. I thought I had found the friends who would stay with me for the rest of my life but for the past month and even more this past week they have started ignoring me and my closest friend, just talking with each other, I'm lucky we were four and that I wasn't left all alone. They are slowly starting to act like they don't card about me at all, but they say that they care but then just leave me sitting there all alone. Me and the other girl they started to ignore are really good friends and I really think she is the one true friend I have and I am just so happy I have her as she is just amazing in every way.

I have been emotionally struggling in this really help me back on my feet your videos are really inspiring and great since I am still young and have so much more to learn you have really been helping me
