10 DAYS ON TRIUMPH TRIDENT 660 / REVIEW BY TOMBOY A BIT / RIDE IN UK

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

So extremely lucky I was to ride a NEW TRIUMPH TRIDENT 660 for 10 days!
So extremely unfortunate I had to give it back.
I loved it!
It's a definition of NIPPY.
Thank you for watching.

Let me help with some negatives :) 1. Cheap-looking foot brake lever - according to Chris from Bike World "is from Chinese scooter" :) and some Germans reviewers on Tenerife pointed it is poor engineering. 2. Rear monoshock, looking poor/cheap as well but some technical guy (don't remember YT channel, he is well respected, they make bike mods) said it will have to be covered because all crap goes straight into it (performs ok most ppl said) 3. Big ugly brake master cylinder "in the front of your vision", been seen apparently on some Kawasaki's from 70's :) 4. Throttle lag - this one is inconclusive, one Japanese guy said it is bad, some journalists said is there but not bothersome, some did not notice at all. One guy from Thailand presented it clearly, lag is there. There is more, some very subjective, some less. Overall....a good bike but nothing super duper for the price.

@@tomboyabit 😊 Not a problem at all! For both AUS and NZ the learner category (LAMS) is an extremely high selling area! Both countries, under this scheme, which is different to the A2 format for Europe as we can only ride up to 660 cc bikes with a power to weight ratio of 150 kw per metric tonne. So manufacturers like Triumph specifically have been making them for us (not capped at 35 kw or 47 bhp) as for the trident and triple we get around 40 Kw. Yamaha has also (since the MT-07 was launched) make a slightly reduced capacity engine and power being a 655 cc bike. I did however thoroughly enjoy your impressions of the Trident 🔱! 👍😎🇦🇺

(Did quite a bit of riding on both. Went to Wales on GS). Equally great bikes I’d say. I would test ride them both if I were you and would get the one that feels more yours. Also I’d watch reviews by the adventure bike riders, and would read forums about the common issues and maintenance. Hope that helps.

@@tomboyabit well I guess what I meant is like what area did you grow up in/influenced it? Does it not even sound similar to people around you? That’s fascinating. I couldn’t hone in on it. When you were talking very slow and deliberate I was like ok somewhere in the UK makes sense but then I thought I was picking up South African tones and I just gave up 😂. I don’t mean to sound rude by the way, doesn’t matter in the end, not trying to fit you in a box or anything I’m just the curious type

I think it is. Ticks all the boxes to me. Super easy to control, light but also fun and won’t need an upgrade after one season.

Everything is really good on this bike except one thing atleast for me. That is the bike is so small almost like they made it for teenagers or for women. But besides from that you get good value for your money. ”Edit” and also the new euro5 makes the bike sound like a chiken

What do you mean 5/4? Height? I honestly can’t answer this, but I’ve seen people this height riding a lot bigger bikes then Trident so I know it is possible. Being so light it’s an advantage of holding it even if you only tiptoe.
