Apollo's Nigerian gimmick wasn't that bad, it was an improvement over before when all he did was smile

I'm really glad you mentioned Cole because man, his work in recent years ever since he's been allowed to let loose and actually call matches like, you know, a pro wrestling commentator, really shows just how much Vince McMahon cramped his style, which in turn caused him to be hated by large portions of the fans for most of his carreer for what it turns out wasn't his fault. I'm sure it must have paid well or else he would have left years ago but man, it must have been miserable at times to be puppetted by the wretched old pervert all the time.

2/3 3MB members have been world champions. Heath is a free agent getting jacked for his return. Thus 3MB is actually an incredible gimmick.

Ah yes, paying £100+ to go see WWE in the front row and having the fucking Cole Mine set up in front of you so you could only see the screens and the occasional glimpse of a wrestler if they happened to climb the nearest cornerpost. What a fun night that was. Totally worth the money.

When I look at some of these gimmicks with fresh eyes, all clustered together around the same time in 2020/2021, it really does feel like some New Generation level stuff compared to what we have now

Just want to put something out there about Michael Cole. It's almost sad that a real-life event (that being Jerry Lawler's heart attack on-air) turned him face. While yes, a sad moment for Cole and WWE, what would've happened had Lawler not had the heart attack. Would he still be a heel today or not? Also, I absolutely love his commentary with Pat McAfee, those two are so great!

it's easy to forget just what an intense transformation Drew made until you see current day him and 3MB him side by side 😳

I gotta say I liked the Stardust gimmick and even if Cody hated it, he still gave it all he had. plus it gave us one of the best Celebrity matches with Stephen Amell

It sounds daft but the only reason I cared much for Retribution was because it had Dio Maddin in the stable, loved watching him during his time in ROW especially when I first saw him in Two Best Friends Play.

Stardust wasn't terrible. Cody not being happy with a midcard act that would never see the main event scene isn't the same as it being terrible.

Giving someone a gimmick of "you're short, lol!" is especially dumb in pro wrestling of all things. THat's right! You have a low centre of gravity which is actually a great thing for wrestling! You must be so embarassed!

Apollo Crews as a Nigerian Prince could actually work in NXT 2.0, especially if you pair him with Oba Femi. I also think Southern Bell Lacey Evans would've been better in NXT 2.0 as well, especially if she feuded with Fallon Henley like Tiffany Stratton did.

Natalya gets too much respect, there has never been a veteran on the roster who’s done less. Not one memorable gimmick, silent reactions heel or face, forgettable title reigns. When Bret returned in 2010 im convinced part of the deal was wwe could never fire natalya or she would’ve been released over 10 years ago. Her “putting over” talent doesn’t even have an impact as beating someone who’s done nothing for around 15 years doesn’t look like an achievement

I will not have this Festus slander. It was an amazing gimmick. I love it, I miss it and I hope they do something similar with someone else. Hell, I remember the WWE game he appeared in even had the detail of having him wake up as the bell rang at the start of the match.

Chad gable will probably get the ic title soon before pursuing the world title. I can go on. Also Michael Cole is great now. He earned the credit he gets. Yea this has never been talked about in detail but it was revealed that Vince came up with this idk if it was a punishment but for what she and Beth were on top of the division at the time and she and Tj were together before she even came to wwe so they knew she was taken idk what his motivation was
