well you got to remember, for the average person, hearing about a kid who goes psycho and burns out his eyelids, carves a smile into his face and murders his family is WAY more creepy and unsettling then a hearing about a haunted video game or a pedophile.... The Sculpture was made in 2007 on the SCP Foundation website. Weeping Angels appeared a month later in the Doctor Who episode"Blink". So the creators of Doctor Who actually took inspiration from The Sculpture, not the other way round.

I know about all of these stories listed, but only read Candle Cove, Mr. Widemouth, Slenderman, and Jeff the killer. I like both Candle Cove and Mr. Widemouth. I did like Slenderman but it became so popular that it wasn't scary anymore. As for Jeff the Killer I was hoping so much it wasn't on the list because to me Jeff had very little logic in it. I thought other stories deserve the top list. Everybody seem to put Jeff the Killer in the list as best or scary creepypasta story and I wonder why.

Mason Reed IKR, I thought that I had stumbled across a poorly written head-canon from a 12 year old when I read it. The ending was laughable, the dialogue is unrealistic and full of cliches. I was incredibly disappointed with it. An as for the Russian Sleep Experiment, it is not clever at all, it tries to hard to shock the reader with gory imagery that goes far over-the-top to the point that it can't be taken seriously. It's also full of plot-holes and chronology errors that are obvious to anyone who knows much about Russian history. None of the stories on this list are scary at all.

What ruins these "Creepypastas" are kids/teens and other idiots making anime versions of these original photos/drawings, c'mon people, anime isn't creepy, it isn't scary, its a highly overrated shitty art style a 5yo can draw. Also, attempting to recreate the original creepy photo using your own art with different angles, your own interpretation, its a joke. Now those originals, they're popular for a reason. They have a nice "Whoa shit" effect when you first see them. Like smiledog, the original jeff, etc. I'm constantly sniffing through the web for another "whoa fuck" photo, but its been a while since i've seen one. I'm sure another will pop up and become popular.

I, personally, just like reading creepypastas. They are interesting and oddly addicting. I don't believe that a single one is real, because they aren't. People who think they are real do fucking tick me off, but I enjoy reading/watching/listening to them.

The rake picks and the sleep gas and Jeff the killer photos I had had to block my eyes while looking at dem(not really look)

just like you said in the video, this kind of horror story aren't new, in past people used to make horror stories like to scare kids, to prevent kids to do stuff or just simple for fun. I'm really glad that this kind of thing didn't get lost in the past and that people are still making new horror stories in the internet.
