I am an American and I just got back from Cuba a few days ago. You can travel under the category "support for the Cuban people". The Cubans are friendly and the old American cars are cool. And they do have a US Embassy there. I flew on United Airlines out of Houston. You can change US dollars into pesos though some places expect US dollars. There are restrictions on where you can stay at what you can do.

Saying this as a Russian, Russians love Americans. I’m not just saying it. They really do. We’re very much alike. Apart from taking off your shoes at the door, I haven’t noticed any other differences. The process of getting a visa is much easier now. I hear one can get it online. The anti Russian thing is purely American government propaganda. I have no idea why the State department presses this agenda all the time. Most Americans don't have a feeling one way or another regarding Russians, although they probably defer on the the side of caution as Russians are tough.

Right, but it is sad now because Chavez was economically illiterate and when Oil Prices plummeted and his economy wasn't diversified instead of instead of cutting back on his Socialist Plan he borrowed way too much money in Foreign Currency instead of waiting for the price of Oil to rebound to continue his Plan of a Balanced Economy. Plus the CIA insurgency didn't help either. America is still trying to undermine the Venezuelan eocnomy so they can come in and steal all that Oil. Venezuelans have a reason to hate Americans, all of Central and South America does also. America started all of its own Foreign Policy Problems with its Imperalisms.

I was in Russia for five days in September 2019 on a group trip, but also dud some exploring on my own in St. Petersburg and Moscow. I found the people to be very nice - possibly because i am American, not Chinese. The Russian tourist sites were overrun with Chinese tourists buses - good Chinese workers were given cheap vacations there as a kind of bonus. They broke all the rules, crossing fences onto lawns for photos in front of flower beds, going backwards from their tour group to get better photos - and i think the Russian workers were not allowed to chide them. If you are nice and treat people the way you would want to be treated, just about everyone everywhere is nice. This works best between women.

You can fly there directly without going through another country. I have talked to more than one American who went to Cuba via another country, and they said they felt safe as long as they stayed in safe areas. All said they had a good time. Countries like Somalia and Yemen are simply unsafe for everyone, including the people from there. Even Americans from bad parts of the U.S. don't understand that kind of social unrest and danger.

The only ones who hate the US are the dictatorial regime officials because they simply don’t want to quit their power and luxuries if the US intervenes. We Venezuelans love and respect the US and those who came to the US to live here legally, like me, we totally disagree with seeing our country on this video. I am an American who has lived in Turkey for a little over three years. Most of the people are nice and welcoming, but the government is often not. When it came to applying for a residency permit, the people at the immigration office (göç idaresi) really made it difficult and would always insist that I wait, while others would cut ahead to ask questions or give their papers. I had some confusion with some dates and papers and they really rubbed it in that I had to pay a big fine and would have a temporary entry ban. And one time, there was a worker at a Starbucks who lost his temper when I told him my background because something didn't work out with his visa (Turkish people almost always ask where I am from. It can get tiring). Some people also made a point to complain about the US military base there, NATO, or some other policy when I told them my background. Whatever, I work in software and don't have a say in it. But people in the Middle East are also very conspiratorial, and some people couldn't be convinced that I didn't work for the government in some form. But I do have to say that I think the part about Saudi Arabia is inaccurate. The people there are often more pro-America than many Americans. Many of them were educated in the States, and plenty can say more about US pop culture than I could. I have found the vast majority to be very enthusiastic about Americans.

I found a nice family from Volgograd who was celebrating the husbands birthday sitting next to us in a restaurant. I randomly said "Happy Birthday" to him. After then we kept running into each other and at one point we sat down and chatted. I told him I was from New York and know many Russians living in Coney Island. I realized at least with Russians, they are warm towards Americans if you aren't arrogant and acknowledge that our country also isn't perfect and express that many don't agree with what our politicians do. Once you acknowledge that, Russians set politics aside and we see each other as humans with much in common.

There were two things that seemed to make them stand out. One was an almost complete ignorance of international affairs and geography. The other was a tendency to brag about the USA, like it was a football team, or something. I think the bragging puts people off. Seeme the local quoted him on some glasses without a box for them. I went to the American and asked him if that 5 dollars gunna make any difference to you. He said that wasnt the point.
