You can tell a vegan that their stance is pointless because their food economy still needs to use bees if you want, or that it involves some pesticides and habitat damage, but your carping won't be better than all of the good that comes from their choice. We need to list actual Israeli companies that we need to boycott. For example, Soda Stream, Teva (Generic Pharma Company) etc. I informed my pharmacy that I do not want any drugs made by Teva. If there are no other generic compaies making a particular drug, I am willing to pay for the brand name. I also make sure I avoid buying produce from Israel, like dates, oranges etc.

Thank you. Very helpful. Interestingly, the word ‘boycott’ comes from Ireland in the 19th century, when Ireland was in a similar position to Palestine today. Captain Boycott was part of the colonial occupation by Britain. Land was taken from the indigenous population. They were then made to work the land under harsh conditions and pay rent to live in their own simple houses. The poor and starving had no defence against tyranny. So, they simply refused to have anything to do with Captain Boycott… it worked to a certain extent, but it wasn’t until 1922 when Ireland became partially free of the occupation.

Barclay's were boycotted in the effort to end apartheid in South Africa. Also don't upgrade phones and tech unless you absolutely have to given the ongoing violent exploitation and displacement in Sudan to enable mineral extraction. Medjool is a variety of date, not a brand. True, the majority imported into the West are grown in Israel, but they are also grown in the US, Morocco and, yes, Palestine (and in other countries), so check the country of origin before you buy.

There are litterally hundreds of North American corporations investing our money in Israel. Some even funding illegal settlements directly, such as the Falic family with their *duty free* shops at most airports. That is something the general public can grasp since I doubt the majority of this audience holds stock in Siemens, Amazon AWS or HP. Please report on more common names, especially pharmaceuticals such as Teva and Taro. Most people use daily medication from Teva, which can be substituted with more ethical brands.

Coca cola, McDonald and Starbucks are 3 very commonly used companies that could be easily boycotted. Most importantly, we need to look at the banks. I think RBC Royal Bank in Canada is tied to Israel and so could be many others. Best thing is to move your money to coops and locals or invest in land.

Boycotting Walmart, Amazon, Nestle (& all its brands incl. Nescafe & Pure Life water), Hagen Daaz , Lay's, Cadbury's, Tim Horton's, Coca-cola (& it's other products), Subway, McDonald's, Starbucks, Johnson & Johnson (incl. its NOW purchased Tylenol products), KFC. It's difficult at 1st to find alternatives - I am STILL working on some of that for products I have a hard time going without. It is good if people get together into research groups & check out smaller brands that they can then bring forward as alternatives to others, so people don't have to find alternatives to EVERY product on their own (& therefore repeat work others have already done instead of spending their time researching others.) Try to then spread the word on-line about what these alternative co.s & what research you have done to (try) to ensure they are okay - & if any additional research is needed, people know.

Writing to the companies and telling them about your boycott helps a lot.

I was an Amazon addict until I saw this video! I paused this video to cancel my Amazon account which includes Prime membership and several subscriptions! I already boycott greedy Starbucks and McDonalds! I will boycott more as I learn of more companies that I can boycott.

The alternative to Airbnb and booking is Agoda or other online hotel agencies. 100% there are alternatives to every brand that is being justifiably boycotted. Go independent instead of Starbucks, McDonald's and pizza hut.

I have ditched my AXA. insurance on my bikes, cars and house. I’ve ditched my HP laptop and printer, I also shut my accounts at Barclays and have stopped shopping at Carrefour.

I've changed my entire shopping list. I've only been buying locally made products of supermarket brands. It's been good for our health and wallet. I won't ever go back to buying Israeli products.

Unfortunately I've got a HP laptop although this was before I found out they were on the boycott list and lots of laptops sold just happen to be HP. Will in future though look for non-HP laptops if I need to upgrade. When I get enough money (hopefully), looking at purchasing a gaming PC.

this is the right way to boycott. it's so funny seeing the far right try to boycott companies by buying their products and then destroying them, completely unaware that they've just given them business. if you have a product from a company you wish to boycott, use it until it breaks/stops working, then just replace it with another company's product.

My HP laptop is probably objectively the most powerful computer I can buy, so I don’t see many great alternatives unless I want an inferior product.

Reading through the comments, I see far more by Israel trolls than usual. It means they're worried by boycotts. Keep up the good work.

I had been a HEAVY user of Amazon Prime since 2014. I closed my acct recently to support the boycott.
